Introduction

Hi there and welcome to my overall 10th guide and its going to be on XbalanquetheHidden Jaguar Sun and it will cover 2 types of builds for him mainly one with great attack speed and life steal and a other with less life steal but more damage

i will assume that you know the basics of what AA FG GF AD and AP mean as well as AoE MIA CD and CDR but just in case:

AA - Auto Attack

FG - Fire Giant

GF - Gold Fury

AD - Attack Damage

AP/MP - Ability Power/Magic Power

AoE - Area Of Effect

MIA - Missing In Action

CD - Cooldown

CDR - Cool Down Reduction

HP - Hit Points/health bar

MP - Mana Points

HP5 - Health/hit Point Regeneration per 5 sec

MP5 - Mana point regeneration per 5 sec

DoT - Damage Over Time

HoG - hand of gods

Pros / Cons

Pros:

+ Good Poke with Poison Darts

+ Gets AD from passive Dead of Night this is like a additional bonus item and what makes him scary early game if given a few kills and a fail gank...

+ Has a steroid on demand at any given time with Branching Bola though it costs mana per AA this thing goes into Critical Strikes and thus is like a extra item for you

+ Has a weak - fair Slow in the Form of a DoT Cone Spell effect with his Poison Darts

+ CC Immune Unique Escape/Chase/Poke Mechanism in the form of Rising Jaguar which is a dash jump hybrid like spell were he takes a running start then jumps and shoots darts into anything that enters his AoE while airborne

+ Global Ultimate Darkest of Nights which is a somewhat global blind like skill that makes darkness draw towards the enemy and if there moving when its about to end there stunned but if they stand still before it ends there not stunned either way there forced to stand still unless they become CC immune it also makes you move faster and makes your AA range grow

+ Has One Of The Strongest Late Games Among All Of The Carry's(from hunters ranged adc's)

+ strong mid game if early game goes well

+ has a build in very effective Poison Darts and Rising Jaguar combo for high damage

Cons:

- Risky Early Game

- Can have Severe Mana Problems when he has high attack speed since Branching Bola drain per AA done regardless if they hit or miss

- His Escape mechanism is also his chasing and poke mechanism

- Ultimate is easy to counter Darkest of Nights with various effects effects and or spells or even careful movement stoping 0.25 sec before it ends

- Very AA dependent thus he can be countered with some items

- his combo of Poison Darts and Rising Jaguar somewhat falls of late game

- many foes will aim for the location were your landing from your Rising Jaguar and kill you at that point you need time to learn how to land those efficiently

Skills

Passive: Dead of Night:you gain some(5) AD permanently for each kill stacking 6 times in other words 30AD that is you need 6 kills to max this passive out

spell 1: Branching Bola:This is a Steroid on Demand and counts as a bonus item in critical strikes and is thus very strong

Cost: 8/10/12/14/16 mana per shot.
Cooldown:0.5sec

in general: early game your nemesis mid game a friend and in late game your best friend and savior

spell 2: Poison Darts: your Really hard to miss giant dot cone skill that boosts the damage done by Rising Jaguar if it hits while there poisoned

Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana.
Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 seconds.

in general:a good skill nothing else to say

spell 3: Rising Jaguar: your 2nd really hard to miss skill thats also a CC immune escape and strong poke in a missive AoE

Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 mana.
Cooldown: 16 seconds.

in general:a strong poke skill thats also a escape requires some skill to properly use and land and good judgement on when to use when this is down your weak to a gank

spell 4: Darkest of Nights:a global ultimate that forces most to stand still at the end of its duration it also acts as a movement steroid and AA range extender for 3 sec

Cost: 100 mana.
Cooldown: 90 seconds.

in general:a fair ult that serves its purpose starting ganks forcing a teamfight to your advantage or to run away or chase a lane/target

Items

here i will explain the items i find very effective on Xbalanque

1 - Death's Toll this is a good early item is you AA almost all the time and its a good way to heal up from some small poke ect... this item is not a must

2 - Warrior Tabi this item gives us AD movement speed and pen we want all of that

3 - The Executioner gives us great pen and attack speed as well as some AD we like all of this so we get this item

4 - Bloodforge this item gives massive AD and Life steal and the passive gives us even more

5 - Rage this gives some much crit and some other vital stats so we get it

6 - Deathbringer this item is a must on any ADC it has crit chance and its passive boosts critical damage and not to mention it gives a lot of AD on it own

7 - Qin's Blades this item is now awesome on Xbalanque as it gives all the stats we want attack speed AD and life steal and its passive adds a considerable boost in our damage output

now then the above is the standard build i use but there is a 2nd build that makes good use of his steroid and gives him a lot of AD the builds are quite similar in general just move The Executioner to be your last item and get Transcendence in its place as the 2nd item this item simply gives a absurd amount of AD (35 base + 3% of max mana this thing gives around 750 mana on its own + your own manapool you have about 2k mana with this late game and that means you gain + 60 AD for a total of 95AD which is simply absurd as thats more then what the Heartseeker gives you then simply go on with the build and The Executioner last for its awesome pen and bonus attack speed

this concludes my items on xbalanque

Actives

1 - Purification Beads - this active can save you a lot and is a great pick

2 - Aegis Amulet - this item is quite useful as it can save you from strong burst

3 - Combat Blink - this can be used as a additional escape and can save you a lot it can be also used to chase

4 - sprint this can not only be used to escape but can be used as a bonus steroid when fighting its rank 3 form removes the slowed while AA penalty which gives you the same effect as Accelerate or Hastened Fatalis and can make you much more deadly as you can use a Hit & Run style Retreat or a Run & Gun Style Chase

these are the only actives worth getting on xbalanque meditation is simply not worth it

The Hunter & You (this covers your gameplay and tactics)

1.now then when the game starts you want to either get your blue buff or even batter steal the enemy blue buff if possible this will let you spam and poke with Poison Darts and Rising Jaguar to a fair degree but dont forget to add 1 - 2 AA after hitting a AA

2.be careful of ganks you want 2 avoid getting shut down early game

3.only use Branching Bola when you have to as its early ranks don't make much of a impact
or at until late game

4.in the late game make sure to use Branching Bola only when you are about to kill/atempt to kill a main target or have many targets near each other

5.a large portion of how you play from here on out depends on you as Xbalanque is a AA dependent god so i dont have much to say except aim the AA really well and get a feel for them

6.a good number of factors that determine if your a good or great Xbalanque are quite simple such as landing AA and not wasting your Rising Jaguar

Summary

this pretty much concludes my guide on Xbalanque i hope it was of help to you and sorry for the very simple guide Xbalanque is in general a simple god he is good at AA and has some fun skills to help him land AA run and chase nothing very complex thus the guide for him is not as detailed as my other guides

well at first i had his 2 and 3 as the first to but when i got some feedback that i should put 1 point into it and it was insisted upon by a few guys that main him from my clan so i went with them on that 1

heartseeker is a risky item and im working on build with it but for now im trying to get into a very high damage based build i my self often have issues with the item since if lose its stacks late game or dont have a team that can play properly i lose stacks often with tower dives even if it nets me a kill (i go into my tower they chase into it 1 dies but 1 gets the kill)

i will consider and update according to this and i do mention the moving mid air part on Rising jaguar maybe its not well worded sorry about that

overall thank you for the feedback i will update this when im done testing some more builds on him and see the results i will for sure make a guide without life steal since as you said he should not be getting hit at all ect... but thats for latter im also working on more then 1 guide at a time but as i said i will take what you said to heart and work on it and once again thank you

You've got the basics right, but I'd say your items need some rearranging. You really don't need Qin's Blades (there are simply better options) or Bloodforge lifesteal, or any lifesteal at all. If you're playing carefully, you should rarely even get hit to begin with so you're not gaining a whole lot by using it.

Heartseeker is a very good item to start off first with instead, because you can quickly buy it on your first few waves of minions, then you can build its stacks for the rest of the game and finish off with a very powerful, but cheap, item in the long run. Replace Bloodforge and Death's Toll with Void Blade or Focused Void Blade and Titan's Bane in whatever order you'd like and your basic attacks will become deadly to basically any type of god in late game.

I'd also advise to not getting Branching Bola until you max out your 2 and 3 first. The huge mana drain from it really isn't worth the little bit of extra damage you'll get out of it and it definitely is not needed to clear minions. You get far more out of increasing your Poison Darts and Rising Jaguar, because they can hit incredibly hard early game and are essential for ensuring kills. The shorter you can get their cooldown as fast as possible, the better.

Don't forget you can move around in mid-air while using Rising Jaguar and the ring indicates where his darts will be thrown, it's not a linear skill. You can use it to quickly get around corners and fly through towers to secure kills on runners. The enemy shouldn't be able to lead you off when you're in mid-air, because you should fly as unpredictably as possible.

Figured I'd suggest some things, try them out and see how they work differently than your current setup.
