Hel. The goddess blessed and cursed in a dichotomy of darkness and light. Hel having the capabilities of healing and damage make her one of the most versatile gods and most helpful.
Quick Description : Hel is a multi purpose god with high potential and is one of the best mages i have seen. Hel has the ability to change the tide of a team fight in seconds and maintain health levels of each teammate. Meanwhile when her healing abilities are on cooldown you can switch to your dmg abilities and weaken your enemies.
Pros:
Support
High Single dmg
High Aoe dmg
Sustain
6 abilities
Cons:
Prone to ganks early on
Mana Eater
Starter Items:
Meditation: This item is very important for Hel early on. The 75% of max Mana restored is vital early on. There is no need to buy the tier up unless you have some extra pocket cash. Do Not Go Without
Potion of Cure light wounds: This is wonderful for Hel in mid because of being able to focus on the combat aspect of Mid while getting a net heal of 250 (10hp per second over 25s). This item will Only ever need to be bought as it is shown on the buy order
Mana Potion: This item is also very important. A net replenish of 150 (6mp per second over 25s) is a useful tip to use in between your meditation cooldowns and can save you from going to the base and losing exp and gold advantage.
Shoes: Every pretty lady needs some nice shoes to go with their dress. Might I say that these shoes giving magical power and mana are extremely helpful. Keep in mind the 250 mana and 50 M-power
Early-Mid
Shoes of Focus: Now we know how useful her abilties are and we all love hel when she has a low CD so she can pop those abilities every 6.2 seconds and 6.5 seconds. the 15% cooldown reduction is wonderful for this.
Chronos' Pendent: Wonderful item for Mages everywhere. 50 M-power is a nice little boost in dmg. the 25mps is helpful because of how often Hel fires off spells making sure she never has to go home unless she wants to go shopping. Most of all what makes this item worth getting is the 25% CD reduction
Teleport: With the recent patch these became more costly. I still consider using these now and then but try to not spend that much on them. 200gp is not a good amount to lose.
Mid game
Book of Thoth: This item gets you so much M-power net gain and allows for longer sustain in the field. The book already gives you 100 M-power which is great. The 15mps is nice because by mid game you have a few levels in your ult giving you total of 60mps in light stance and 40 in Dark stance ((20mps might stance)+25mps+15mps). The icing on the cake though is the conversion of 3% of your mana to M-power. At this point your magical power should get a boost of 375 from items and a base of 870 when you get to that level. Total mana of 1245 converts to 37.35 M-Power.
Gem of Isolation: This staff is in mid game because you will need to start chasing your opponents for the kills. A 25% slow will add onto your 2nd ability giving another 25% slow. The gem also gives the player a 250 mana bonus which gets converted as well for another 7.5 M-power.
Mid-Late Game
Ethereal Staff: Ethereal staff gives 600hp and 300mp. The mp conversion would give us another 9 M-power. The item then converts 2% of your Health into M-power as well. The conversion of health from items and base is 850+1015=1865 which converts to 37.3
Total conversions of stat to M-power at Lv.15:
Mana:53.4
HP:44
total: 97.4 (without stacks from Thoth)
Late Game
Rod of Tahuti: This item is what makes you nearly unstoppable as Hel. You can get this item whenever you feel necessary but I still sugjest late game. Adding a bump to your M-power by +25% can really cause your other items to build off of each other.
Rod Conversions
Mana:66.75
HP:55
total: 121.75 (without Stacks from Thoth)
Enfeebling Curse: Honestly. You don't need this, but you are more likely to get kills if you combo this off of Hinder and Gem of isolation for a very slow enemy.
I can not stress this enough. Hel is a two faced women. She can be kind and she can be mean. I have seen way to many people focus on one aspect of her. If you do not use both sides then you will not be helpful in team fights nor will you be able to handle your own.
Early Game:
This is by far the easiest part for Hel. Wipe out waves and be aggressive if you are comfortable with that. do your best to take gold advantage away from your Mid opponent. Stay on guard for junglers because you are an easy kill if they get a good gank planned.
Early-mid Game: to Mid Game
This is when you start turning into the MVP. Roam to who ever can take advantage of a gank. Do not target any tanks if they are above 75% health. Look for squishy ADs and mages. Keep track of your lane in the meantime. This is a perfect time to take a speed buff and open mana buff and attack buff for your teammates
At mid game help push a tower or two. and continue the same strategy of Early-mid game as before.
Mid-late Game: to Late Game:
You no longer have a lane. Gank every opportunity you can. Coordinate with your teammates. Your team is your objective. the minotaur is their job. Help them get there

Personally, I don't place a point into my ultimate until level 16 (at which point it's the only skill left, and I therefore spend all my points into at at 16-20). You can switch stances whether or not you have any points in it, and the base damage increases for both Decay/Restoration and Repulse is higher than your benefit for being in Dark Stance. You also get the first rank of MP5 from your passive without even putting a point into your ultimate, so as long as you are conservative with your mana, you should not run out too easily (meaning you can put points into other spells for very high damage).
As for the build, you should not need to waste money on Healing Potions - you're the strongest healer in the game. (Remember, you should get at least on point in Repulse rather than maxing out Cleanse so early).
I think
I strongly recommend
Protection is typically better than Health, and it's certainly better than Health on a Healer; replace
Overall, it's a fairly nice build.
Also, try inserting some BBCoding into your guide. For instance, in your items section, replace "Shoes of Focus" with ((Shoes of Focus)) -replace the parentheses with brackets-
This would result in
