Sun Wukong's Skill Order Notes It's arguable whether or not you should get Master's Will before you get 72 Transformations. I prefer to do 72 Transformations due to the safety it provides with being able to run away but ultimately it's up to preference. You're gonna wanna try and hit a 321 combo or a 312 combo. I think that 321 is easier to land, but 312 will net more damage since it's easier to land some basics after the slow from Master's Will. Otherwise just play back and poke with his 1. You should save his ultimate almost exclusively for when you're low on health or are about to get ganked. If it's not being used as an escape don't use it unless you're certain you can get a kill with it as it's a very valuable asset as an escape due to the CC immunity and heals.

Introduction

Welcome to My Guide for Sun Wukong!

Hi I'm MLG_Pinkachu I play primarily on PC and I have a diamond Sun Wukong. I'm a casual player and I play mainly conquest. I fully intend on adding onto this build in the near future. This is my first Smitefire guide so please don't hesitate to comment and leave suggestions.

Sun Wukong is an incredible choice for the solo lane, easily ranking as a top 3 solo laner. He has good crowd control with Master's Will and 72 Transformations, he has very good sustain and damage with his ultimate Somersault Cloud, and his passive Undefeated Body makes him able to trade with just about any god in the game if you play your cards right.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
Cons:
  • Very ability reliant, silence hurts him more than others
  • His stats are just a little bit lackluster
  • Can struggle to escape without his ult sometimes
  • 72 Transformations is susceptible to hard CC which makes some matchups difficult to escape from

Skills

Passive - Undefeated Body

Undefeated Body is one of Wukong's main claims to fame. It bolsters his stats to disgusting levels when he's below half health which is what makes it easy to trade with other gods when you play him. This is just one of the factors that lets him deal with ganks even without any support.

1 - The Magic Cudgel
The Magic Cudgel is a very straightforward and easy to use ability. It's a straight line attack and you can change what direction you're aiming and move around it while you cast it. It allows for very aggressive play which Wukong is well suited to. It's useful for poking, getting some cheeky kills if the enemy stays too close to the edge of the tower, or just hitting a retreating enemy. There's not much to say about it, it's a simple and versatile tool in Sun Wukong's kit.

2 - Master's Will
Master's Will Is another very versatile tool in Wukongs kit. It continues the pattern of being a straightforward and easy ability. It does good damage and applies a slow to enemies for 2s. It's a mainstay in Wukong's combos and if you're really desperate to run away you can use the slow to your advantage in a pinch. However, most of the time you'll be using it in combos.

3 - 72 Transformations
72 Transformations is probably the most difficult to utilize tool in Wukong's arsenal, but don't let that dissuade you from using him. 72 Transformations is still a fairly simple and easy to use tool and probably the most versatile tool in his kit. The difficulty lies in the 3 different transformations. Aiming far away transforms you into an eagle, you can't do damage as the eagle but it's the fastest of the 3 transformations and its immune to slows for the duration. It's inarguably Wukong's best escape option but can be used to close the distance between you and other players (This is a risky move and I wouldn't recommend it under most circumstances). The second transformation is activated by aiming towards the middle of your screen and it's the tiger. The tiger isn't as fast as the eagle, but it stuns whichever enemy you hit with it. It's Wukong's primary tool to start his combos and it cannot be understated how useful it is. A word to the wise however, you cannot make sharp turns with the tiger and it's very easy to accidentally stun a minion rather than an enemy god. Make sure to try and clear minions before attacking an enemy god with it. Lastly the ox, activated by aiming directly in front of you. The ox isn't particularly fast but goes through an indefinite amount of enemies and knocks up every enemy you hit. It's important to take note of enemy positions when you use 72 Transformations as it's wukong's only means of escape other than his ultimate.

4 - Somersault Cloud
Somersault Cloud is a phenomenal ultimate. It does it all. It heals, it's a good escape option, it does good damage, you're CC immune upon casting the ult. This ult is extremely versatile. If you're in a tough spot and need to escape CC and leap away it does a great job. If you need to secure a kill on a retreating god it does a great job. It's not the best at any one particular thing but it's above average at most things and that's what makes it so great.

No Mantle / Genji's / Fighter's Mask options?

I would probably swap out The Crusher with something like Heartseeker because the former doesn't really bring much to the table when built last. Sure it scales off of physical power, but it's only 15%, and that 15 flat pen won't do much even against squishies on its own.

I've never found myself having a problem using crusher personally but Heartseeker is probably a better option regardless I'll change the guide accordingly

You get Soul Eater last? Or am I reading that wrong?

That was a mistake on my part, if you go soul eater you should get it early to get the stacks asap I'll fix it
