Array ( [even] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 94 [display_name] => Achilles [url] => achilles ) [scoreVal] => 3 [notes] => Once you get boots this matchup is smooth sailing. Space when you use your abilities because most of Achilles' damage comes from auto attacking you repeatedly while you spin around him. ) [1] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 57 [display_name] => Cabrakan [url] => cabrakan ) [scoreVal] => 3 [notes] => Just like Bellona, Cabrakan can bully King Arthur out a bit early on, then Arthur gets boots and some levels and stomps him. Cabrakan walls can be dangerous when you get ganked. ) [2] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 89 [display_name] => Cu Chulainn [url] => cu-chulainn ) [scoreVal] => 3 [notes] => Cu Chulainn can be scary early when he goes berserk but once you get Stone of Gaia, you always win the lane. It just might be rough getting there. ) [3] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 14 [display_name] => Guan Yu [url] => guan-yu ) [scoreVal] => 3 [notes] => Guan's 3 and ultimate do crazy amounts of damage and King Arthur doesn't have a great way to get out of them. He can all in you for a kill if you get caught out but you'll win the extended 1v1 fights, watch out for ganks in this match up. ) [4] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 85 [display_name] => Kuzenbo [url] => kuzenbo ) [scoreVal] => 3 [notes] => Kuzenbo is a surprisingly good pick into Arthur because Bladestorm can reset Kuzenbo's cooldowns through Shell Spikes quickly and Kuzenbo can outtrade Arthur early by pushing him through the wave. Arthur can easily poke Kuzenbo out easily in extended fights and pressure Kuzenbo's jungle. ) [5] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 108 [display_name] => Mulan [url] => mulan ) [scoreVal] => 3 [notes] => Mulan always wins the early game and then quickly gets demolished by mid game Arthur. As long as King Arthur prioritizes on clearing early, he shouldn't fall far behind. ) [6] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 16 [display_name] => Sun Wukong [url] => sun-wukong ) [scoreVal] => 3 [notes] => Wukong isn't a threat to Arthur in lane at all but he can just leave the king alone while he free farms, therefore denying Arthur the pressure and lead he needs to be effective coming out of lane. Arthur is also never killing Sun Wukong. ) [7] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 41 [display_name] => Tyr [url] => tyr ) [scoreVal] => 3 [notes] => You won't kill him, he won't kill you. It's a stalemated lane and neither god will gain pressure alone. This matchup is skill and jungler dependent. ) ) [minor] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 72 [display_name] => Amaterasu [url] => amaterasu ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => By the time Amaterasu gets through her bad early game, Arthur's gotten through his too. Keeping her in lane might be hard but she has no kill potential on you as long as you don't try to box her. Use your abilities and wait for cooldowns. ) [1] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 90 [display_name] => Artio [url] => artio ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => This is specifically Artio solo. While her cripple is annoying, she just gets rolled in lane and is almost no problem. ) [2] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 63 [display_name] => Bellona [url] => bellona ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => Bellona can get some pressure early one by out clearing you but after the first few levels she just loses here. ) [3] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 81 [display_name] => Camazotz [url] => camazotz ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => Camazotz can fight into Arthur early but they both clear equally well and Arthur wins the match up more and more as time goes on. ) [4] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 93 [display_name] => Cerberus [url] => cerberus ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => Cerberus loses here. While his 2 hits very hard at level 1, he can't really out pressure you and he'll never be able to use his ultimate on Arthur. Bladestorm gives King Arthur knockup immunity. ) [5] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 110 [display_name] => Cthulhu [url] => cthulhu ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => Cthulu can save himself with his ultimate here but he'll never kill you. This is sort of a stalemated lane where nothing happens except Cthulu's forced under tower the whole time. Try to invade the jungle here because Cthulu has a much bigger presence in team fights and you need to impact the game and get your team ahead too. ) [6] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 78 [display_name] => Erlang Shen [url] => erlang-shen ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => As long as you don't stay around him when his Berserker's Shield passive goes off, this is a free lead. ) [7] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 28 [display_name] => Hercules [url] => hercules ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => Don't let him slap you to death early and this is a winning match up. Stealing his blue might be problematic. You can fight him easily but your secure isn't great compared to Hercules ultimate. ) [8] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 101 [display_name] => Jormungandr [url] => jormungandr ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => While you can't use your charged ultimate on Jormungandr. Jorm can't actually kill you either so the late is just dead. You can outpressure him still and go to his blue or proxy. Jormungandr can't stop you. ) [9] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 53 [display_name] => Osiris [url] => osiris ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => Osiris might be able to out poke Arthur early but he loses the matchup the more the game goes on. ) [10] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 102 [display_name] => Set [url] => set ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => Set gets destroyed once Arthur gets defense boots online. His 3 basically instantly stacks Reinforced Greaves' passive and you can ult his ult to shorten the amount of time Set has ulting. ) [11] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 111 [display_name] => Tsukuyomi [url] => tsukuyomi ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => Tsukuyomi easily out pokes and out trades Arthur early game. Once Arthur gets boots and stone of gaia, he's bulky enough to just run at Tsukuyomi. At that point the assassin has no option but to retreat. You get pressure for free, it just comes later than usual. Tsukuyomi also has no mobility and Arthur 2 can cancel Tsukuyomi 2. This is effectively a counter match up favoring Arthur once you get past the early game. ) [12] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 21 [display_name] => Vamana [url] => vamana ) [scoreVal] => 4 [notes] => Vamana has no pressure here and has to ult to live in most situations. If Arthur holds his Uppercut to cancel Vamana dash then Vamana is stuck in lane vs a god he can't fight. A lead should come easy here if you keep track of Vamana ult cooldown so you know when to invade and when to not. ) ) [tiny] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 96 [display_name] => Baron Samedi [url] => baron-samedi ) [scoreVal] => 5 [notes] => Baron has nothing in this match up. If you get ganked by a jungler when the enemy solo is a Baron, that's a free 1v2. I can't stress enough how bad Baron is vs Arthur. You can even auto attack out of his root. ) [1] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 47 [display_name] => Chaac [url] => chaac ) [scoreVal] => 5 [notes] => Arthur is probably the only solo that's capable of killing Chaac. This match up should be seen as a free lead. ) [2] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 83 [display_name] => Nike [url] => nike ) [scoreVal] => 5 [notes] => Nike is just like Chaac. She has no pressure here and is somewhat killable once her ult is down. Her blue buff is free here and she will almost always fall behind. ) [3] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 11 [display_name] => Odin [url] => odin ) [scoreVal] => 5 [notes] => You won't kill him, he won't kill you. If for some reason he bird bombs in front of you. that's a kill though. It's the reason why you can take Odin's blue buff. If he ults you then ult him and the cage will almost be over when you both land. ) [4] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 9 [display_name] => Sobek [url] => sobek ) [scoreVal] => 5 [notes] => Sobek can't do much here at all. You can actually kill him if he doesn't ult at the right time. ) [5] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 69 [display_name] => Xing Tian [url] => xing-tian ) [scoreVal] => 5 [notes] => Xing Tian can't do much at all here besides trying to ult you into tower. Arthur has some kill potential but Xing's jumps are hard to catch so you're better off taking his blue and the enemy team's jungle. ) ) [major] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [god] => Array ( [god_id] => 3 [display_name] => Hades [url] => hades ) [scoreVal] => 2 [notes] => Hades full clears from level 2 and full heals after he gets some lifesteal online. He can be killed if there's no wave nearby but that's only in the mid game once Arthur gets Gaia and Genji's. Hades' insane lane clear makes it near impossible to get pressure with Arthur and you won't be able to get the lead you want. ) ) ) 1

King Arthur' threats

Introduction

King Arthur is a solo laner who plays around pressure, trading, and his unrivaled ability to easily fight multiple gods alone if they're unable to lock him down and blow him up. Arthur's 7 abilities, 3 of them being movement abilities and his ultimate which makes him untargetable for a couple seconds allow him to constantly deal damage while making it hard for enemies to retaliate. Once King Arthur gets some defense online, he's a force to be reckoned with.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths:
- Great damage output and trade potential.
- Decent mobility
- Good buff secure
- Knockup and slow immunity on two abilities
- Can basic attack out of roots.

Weaknesses:
- Hard countered by cripples.
- No reliable CC immune ability.
- No built-in sustain.

Relics

On King Arthur you want Teleport Glyph 100% of the time. Arthur's whole game plan is getting ahead by winning lane. Having Teleport means you never lose lane pressure when you back for Reinforced Greaves which is important on King Arthur because he needs to win lane to impact the game. Your second relic will usually be either Blink Rune or Purification Beads. Getting beads on a full tank warrior might sound weird but, since Arthur has no CC immunity in his kit besides his charged ultimate, they're insanely valuable. Other options for your second relic are Phantom Veil, Cursed Ankh, Shield of Thorns, or Magic Shell. These are for your team and should be bought sparingly. Note that Ankh and Shell should be upgraded before team fights for the extra benefits.

Early Game

Start off by buying Warrior's Blessing and a Chalice of Healing. Buy 2-3 Healing Potions for extra sustain or Multi Potions if you want to stack the healing on top of your chalice. Get Teleport Glyph as your first relic.

Go to your blue buff and stay there until it spawns. Clear it as fast as possible and then head to the wave. Tell your jungler to do your blue before their back camps.

Once you get to lane you should use your abilities primarily on the wave, but make sure to damage the enemy solo laner every time Warrior's Blessing comes off cooldown so you can stack it up as soon as possible. The goal is to get full boots on your first back and then teleport back in with them.

Reinforced Greaves are the best choice on King Arthur as he doesn't need the extra power from Warrior Tabi to trade with the enemy or clear well. Arthur also wants to be hitting the enemy solo laner as much as he can once he gets his blessing stacked and boots online because the extra protections from both cut down the minion damage he receives drastically.

Team Fights

As the solo laner and frontline during team fights, you want to be initiating for your jungler and pressuring their backline so they're not free casting onto your team. As King Arthur you want to be going into fights with your ultimate charged up or close to it so you can immediately ult a squishy, use all your abilities on them and then ult them again. You should target one person, either their mage or their adc and use all your abilities on them. While spamming your abilities on whoever's closest is easier and more fun, taking someone out of the fight is much more important than poking 2 or 3 people. In certain situations you can use your charged ultimate on the support so the squishies have no protection for a couple seconds but it's not something you should be focused on doing. The % health damage the ultimate does just makes ulting tanks not a complete waste. Blinking in and immediately ulting someone in the enemy backline is great for initiating as it lets your team push forward while one of the enemy carries is in the air doing nothing.

While this rarely happens, if for some reason everyone dies except King Arthur, the enemy solo, and the enemy support, Arthur can easily take the 1v2. A lot of the time if a carry is there too, Arthur can take the 1v3. In extended fights where there's no huge damage to kill him, Arthur just presses all his buttons and slowly kills everyone.

Tips and Tricks

Comboing Uppercut into Overhead Slash guarantees the extra melee damage on Overhead Slash. You can also do this when securing a buff. Knock the enemy up with Upper Cut and then finish the buff with the damage from Overhead Slash while the enemy is in the air.

Hitting the whole wave and the enemy god with Blade Storm is an easy way to quickly build up energy. It also groups the wave so you can kill the minions easier.

Using Excalibur's Wrath as soon as you get enough energy in lane is important and holding on to it for too long is a huge damage loss, you want to cycle through them. Since it does 25% max health in physical damage, the enemy solo will really feel it. This ability chunks everyone.

When against Jormungandr it's important to remember that you can't use Excalibur's Wrath on him so you should instead ult whenever you get enough energy for Sundering Strike. Sometimes you might want to hold onto a charge if you think you're going to be ganked.

Auto attack canceling between abilities is a must on King Arthur, it always keeps you close to the enemy, you will build energy faster and it results in a lot more damage.

Invading the enemy's jungle as Arthur is especially effective because they can't fight you without committing to a 3 or 4 man rotation. This usually means your team can get the Gold Fury uncontested.

Using an auto attack before using abilities gives you a lot more range and can cancel the auto attack slow by using your abilities half way through the lunge animation. This also lets you move a lot faster when chaining together your movement abilities.

Conclusion

King Arthur dominates the laning phase after the first few levels. King Arthur should be played into weaker laning gods where he can abuse his pressure and make a lead. While gods with cripples destroy Arthur, he destroys everyone else.

"Wield the power of Excalibur to hack and slash your foes with powerful combos."

Decent content, just a couple of thoughts and things I noticed.

In the notes of the "Core 5 items" there's a huge confusing typo that I kept rereading thinking I was stupid "so going spirit over mantle instead of oni hunter's garb over genji's guard is best"; this was confusing because you never mentioned differences in going Spirit Robe over Mantle of Discord, so if there is a difference you want to clarify add it, if not just change that typo.

I definitely think The Sledge has it's place at least as a "6th item slot" choice, if you don't need to counter it's there as a useful fill item.

Maybe on your match ups where you list Amaterasu as minor note that if she can get through to late game she makes way more of an impact than you will as King Arthur.

Final point, this is all theoretical so doesn't really matter but I think the new Gladiator's Shield might be better in lane than Void Shield. Cheaper, more base stats, and as King Arthur you are going to be hitting people below the 60% threshold fairly often, meanwhile Void has percentage penetration, which will be more useful in that mid to late game rather than third item. Just a theory though, I can see Void still being good in 3rd.

In a meta with a lot of percentage penetration, the more HP the better. Also most of the "6th item slot" items have health in them anyway? So what matter is it if it has health on it or not? Doesn't make sense to me really.

With the threats, for a starter Poseidon and Ares are not common solo lane match ups; They are still a threat to him in any game so of course they should be listed but Poseidon and Ares solo aren't common nor good solo picks at all. Next I would address that unless you're playing arena you're picking a god to try and win, any god that can do your role better and win their game instead of you winning should definitely be notable. The same way you talk about Sun Wukong who is even, yet Ama can afk farm and then win the game. I never said to make her a major threat, I just said though that it should be written.

And I understand that the passive scales better later into the game but so does Void Shields as it has percentage pen? and I did say it was just a theory I wasn't trying to criticise your building.
