Raijin pounds his drums sending forth a peal of thunder in a line, then another, then two at once, each growing wider as it travels. The thunder deals Magical Damage to Enemies it hits.

Raijin marks a target enemy by dismissing his ally Raiju, who deals damage as he hides in the enemy's navel. While asleep, Raiju slows and reveals the target to Raijin's team on the minimap. The next time Raijin hits the target, Raiju awakens and claws his way out, doubling the slow and damaging the target and 5 nearby enemies every .5s for 2.5s in his attempt to flee. Subsequent enemies hit take decreased damage.

Thunder Crash

Raijin sends a bolt of lightning crashing down at his ground target location mesmerizing enemies, while Raijin himself ascends into the sky. Shortly thereafter he crashes down at that location, doing a burst of damage to all enemies in the area.

Active: Raijin flies above the battlefield, beating his drum 4 times to summon peals of thunder. With each hit, he has a choice of three beats:

Beat one: 100% damage
Beat two: Taunt and 50% Damage
Beat three: Fear and 50% Damage

While in the air, Raijin suffers a 20% Movement Speed Slow.

Chapter Title

So I was playing a nice conquest jungle with Set and that enemy Raijin mid laner ruined this match with his build and existance (we won btw). That is his build.

I'm posting this hoping some Smitefire pros (example: Kriega or Branmuffin) will give me a decent Raijin build since I don't know how to build him ever sice Hi rez killed my precious Soul Reaver.

To be honest the build you listed isn’t awful either, but it’s not the best and I don’t think Bancrofts is necessary, along with the fact that Raijin procs Magus well

Mage’s blessing, tier 1 spear, 1 health pot and 2 mana pots for start. Build: Cdr Boots, Magus, Divine, Soul Reaver, Shaman’s Ring, Rod of Tahuti. Lategame sell boots for either Obsidian Shard, Soul Gem or Chronos’ Pendant.

@exterminate: this build direction is a good one too. High priority to early pen via Magus as 2nd item, and later he's picking up Shaman's for extra MS ~~since he has no escape~~ (oops, and yes Kriega I know it's also for the damage).

Definitely try that one out too.

Shaman’s is for the damage it brings not the movement speed. Also Raijin does have an escape.

Hi exterminate,

Kriega will be the better resource since he plays mages a lot. That said, I can identify some build directions you should take.

If I were playing him, I'd always personally prioritize Spear of the Magus, where the protection reduction passive is easily stacked due to Raiju. You can see most pros build that on him (though not in every case). The other pen item that would be considered in the mid-game would be Divine Ruin, if you need to counter enemy healing.
In almost all cases, you're seeing Book of Thoth being built, and rushed rather than going with Mage's Blessing as a starter. This is because Percussive Storm has great scaling (120% if you connect on every hit), as does Taiko Drums (200% if you connect on all 4 hits).
You can always consider Book of the Dead if you pick up Thoth, for extra protection purposes.
Soul Reaver isn't a bad item. Yes, it got nerfed, but Raijin can still make very good use out of the item.
I personally wouldn't consider Bancroft's Talon on him. I've always considered Bancroft's to be a boxing item...to get the best use, you're expecting to take damage, which gives you more power and lifesteal as you get hurt. Raijin, though, can deal a lot of damage from fair distance, and so you're not really looking to mix it up as much as, say, Freya/ Chronos/ Sol/ Ao Kuang/ Hades. If you DO want lifesteal, I'd probably suggest Soul Gem.

Taking a hint from the Pros, I'd probably suggest the following basic build structure:

(rush)
(Focus for the CDR because you'll get plenty of pen in the next item)

(if anti-heal needed) or

Situationals (e.g. , , , Divine/Reaver if not picked up before)

You can throw in if facing heavy tanks, probably before Tahuti. Use the situational options to replace Shoes late.
