I'm back!

Hey! New builds for my favorite hunter, Rama. I love his basic attack damage so I built these builds that can be mixed and matched towards your enemies. I'll be updating more guides and adding more builds so stay tuned!

Luka, for the alternative build, did you mean to take out the executioner? I think you agreed with us that penetration was a core stat?

There are still some issues with the build, but at the very least, I'm glad two concepts were understood:
1) you need penetration otherwise, most of your damage gets soaked up by enemy protections
2) you need items that maximize your dps (qins sais OR some Crit items, one of them being deathbringer). It's good you included attack speed items with qin's sais, as that maximizes the dps of qin's.

In good faith, I will give an upvote and a rep, but we still have a long way to go. Looking forward to further open minded discussions with you.

Next topic for discussion is your start. I was under the impression you sold your blessing for ichaival, but that doesn't seem to be the case after looking at your start.

This could be considered an authors style. just like how some people replace the boots slot in the speed pot builds while other place a slot with boot replacements.

if I recall correctly ichiaval is still considered the non-stacking build therefore it changes the start.

is preferred as it provides lifesteal and power. requires you to pick up for lifesteal which nullifies the need for his steroid.

Luka, you're going around in circles and not answering the question.

Devampi and I are asking you, "WHY do you think it doesn't have to be a main build item, when it has a very high dps value when coupled with high attack speed"

Saying, "because it doesn't have to be a main build item" does NOT answer our question.

Even though it has alot of power and it has a decent passive, it can still be switched out for something else.

Since it's such a great item, why would you switch it out? You want to maximize your dps (damage per second), not limit it.

Precisely, qin sais definitely works, but it can be switched out for jotunns, brawlers beat stick, etc. There are so many items and depending on how season 7 is going to work, most of my builds will be fixed to season 7.

S7 should definitely change some things up, and maybe it makes Qin's or crits non-critical items. That said, I think you might be underestimating the effect of Qin's. In a build where you look to get high AS (e.g. with O-Bow, Exe, etc.), the whole point of that is building up to getting Qin's, so you can get as many procs of the passive as possible. Qin's is an incredibly strong item, and those high AS builds are meant to shred tanks and take down objectives quickly.

As of right now, at least for a god like Rama, if you don't go crits, then Qin's is a core item.

Yup. This is a basic concept that Luka has to understand. Luka, if you don't like qins sais, build crits. But you MUST have one or the other in your build.

I don't think is a good option because last time I tried it, it only procs on the ulti, which isn't very optimal. Not the worse option but definitively not the best.

The builds are looking better, with the inclusion of (mandatory), but you're missing the DPS option.

Either pick OR some crit items in your build (one of them being )

The executioner is mandatory on a hunter.
Qins/Crit also is mandatory on adc to maintain dps.

Wh- what. I know what's situational or not, it all depends on the enemy team, these builds are simple and easy to have against squishy gods, so people can use the situational items for that reason

I said I wasn't going to comment on Luka's builds anymore, but I'll just add a bit of info.

Luka, is NOT what would be considered an "alternative" or "optional" item in most senses for any basic attacking hunter build. Consider at the end that even squishy gods typically have around 70 physical protection WITHOUT items when they reach level 20.

At max stacks, 36% protection reduction on 70 physical protection is the equivalent of 25 penetration. That 25 penetration is higher than any flat penetration item.

On top of that, it's superior to pen in the sense that it reduces the enemy's protections, so any other physical damage god on your team will also see the benefit and additional damage output while that debuff is active.

So you indicating that it is an alternative item, instead of a 100% CORE item, means you don't understand its effectiveness, and this makes the build suffer.

As for the rest...well, isn't a Transcendence god. He's a pure Devo's god. He's a true basic attacker, and not particularly mana hungry, so Trans is somewhat wasted on him outside the power contribution. Getting Devo's means you get early sustain and you don't need to get mid-game, which allows you to focus on other items earlier.

Then you have other items in the "alternative" group that are just not suited for his use. is a functional item in a crit build, when the god is more ability-reliant (thus capably using the 20% CDR). In addition, the bonus passive effect is best when you're still near enemies after you ult. Yes, that situation can happen if you use his ult to keep you away from damage for a short time, but often you should be using it to snipe retreating enemies. Enemies that are RUNNING AWAY, because they're hurt and don't want to die. Which means after you land, you won't be applying the passive's effect to them.

IMO is also an awkward choice for him. I'm not sure how the passive damage bonus applies to all of his abilities, but I think there are better options. If you keep it, though, that's fine.

Unfortunately, the best build for him is a cookie-cutter type build. Devo's, Warrior, O-Bow, Exe, Qin's, situationals, or Devo's, Ninja, Rage, Exe, DB, situationals would be common paths. And you don't need to blast his build with AS, because he's got a pretty strong steroid in his kit.

I never meant it as an alternative, it was always in the main build, everything that everyone said screwed it all up, most likely because I may have interpreted it wrong, but I reset my thinking, recreated the build, and left it there.

One thing Kriega reminded me of is that objectives including the GF, FG, and Titan are all subject to the protection reduction effect. So on top of not only being a great overall item even against squishies, also sees significant effect on tanks and key objectives. It's straight up a core item, but typically shouldn't be built any earlier than 3rd item, and is usually seen in the 4th position (not including blessings).

I'm going to have to agree on this the reason. I have noticed many times that adc not building crit (and in case building crits not haveing around 50%).
In the case of low physical protections (which a competent tank will pretty much have immediately making this a rare occurence) on the enemy it;s even worth to delay for as the DPS increase will be pretty big against their hp pools

Executioner is less expensive than Qins, helps physical teammates, and works on objectives. You don’t want to buy Qins before Exe.

and even then an adc will only do 180-200 damage on basics with the location of in the build. Which don't sting. I have had games that smashed the enemy team until the hunter got qin's up.

crit builds suffer this less as they get their damage source slightly earlier.

So feel wise qins Damage increase has a better feel then exe and in certain scenerio's it is gonna outshine exe.

it helps your physical team mate, yeah mostly the warrior's since most assassins will be flanking and diving a backline you are not able to hit yet.
