Trade Shoes of Focus late game (once you acquire
Elixir of Speed) for
Rod of Tahuti for more power or
Obsidian Shard for more penetration.
You can also swap Doom Orb for
Charon's Coin, just depends on your play style.
Rushing Chronos' Pendant is just too good of a start for mages not to.
However if you dont feel comfortable without a starter item then you can run Mage's Blessing &
Lost Artifact, then get
Shoes of the Magi, and then Chronos Pendant.
Mantle of Discord is good if you're constantly getting ganked since you don't have an escape.
This item will help Ra to heal his allies and himself but the enemy team will most likely be running anti-heal and I feel as if his base healing alone should keep your frontlines healed enough for your team to do more damage than the other team.
In conclusion, Ra is one of the strongest mid lane mages right now. His line abilities can take some practice to hit the majority of the time. He also has multiple builds that work on him so try different things that work for you.
