Pros / Cons

pros
+ High CD reduction
+ Good boxing
+ great CC through whirlpool + gem of isolation
+ High movement speed
+ One of the besst ultimates IMO

cons
- Still squishy
- If enemy have high mobility heroes you will struggle if you dont
neutralize them with whirlpool
- In longer fights you have to be carefull with mana

Don't build Book of the Dead on Poseidon it's a trash item on most gods except maybe Kukulkan. You also cap CDR which is bad as Potion of Magical Might gives 10% CDR.

Also swap Demonic Grip for either Shaman's Ring (preferred) or Hastened Ring.

E.g. build example: Shoes of the Magi, Shaman's Ring, Spear of the Magus, Gem of Isolation, Divine Ruin, Chronos' Pendant.

Alternatively swap magi shoes for focus shoes and swap chronos' pendant for Soul Reaver. Lategame you can also swap Spear of the Magus for Obsidian Shard.

Listen chump, this build is mediocre and your ignorant attitude is detrimental to this site. I suggest you either fix this build or admit that it is bad and name it as such in the title of your build.

The presence of Book of the Dead in this build is what easily cements it as sub-par.

Shaman's Ring being good on him also doesen't leave space for Demonic Grip or Hastened Ring as you want Spear of the Magus due to his Whirlpool.

Great reply, o' wise sage! Please grace us with more of your wisdom because us mere mortals cannot begin to comprehend the depths you have obviously plumed in your quest to deeps of Poseidon. Oh, but you honor us with your short, but very poignant, comment so I will provide you with the same courtesy: if you cannot defend your build without resorting to childish tantrums, then YOU need to re-evaluate your personal skills or lack thereof. Oh, and putting a smily at the end of your post does not make it any better.

Edit: And this build is terrible. What Kriega posted would work much better.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
