Everyone's suggestions were very helpful, I wasn't thinking when I had the build with almost no penetration, if there are any other suggestions please let me know.

As with the Chern build, I've currently downvoted this. I just can't see a situation where more CDR isn't a priority. You only have 10% in the example build. I don't know how Chronos' Pendant is not in here somewhere. I also don't like Bancroft's Talon, especially as late as it's built. BT is usually built early in modes like Conq to give an early boxing and power advantage. Here in Joust, I'm guessing you'll usually have better effect from Soul Gem, if you really need lifesteal.

Bancrofts is useful due to the trading/poking in joust but there just isn't enough cdr.

That's my biggest issue. I agree on trading and whatnot, but the flat heal and burst provided by SG's passive is probably going to do more for him lifesteal-wise because most of his abilities are AOE, applying that 0.33x reduction. The power at lower health IS nice, but SG just seems to me like the better choice here. Could just be personal pref.

But Doom Orb over Chronos', if we're going to replace a specific item, is probably where I'd do it.

Just one more thing, for the starter change tier 1 shoes for tier 1 Spellbook.

Theres not enough gold for 4 potions though with that start though, so you need to remove either 1 health or 1 mana pot.

10 pen in the entire build just isn't very optimal. More pen is needed; there's a reason Spear of the Magus is considered a core item on him.

Getting Doom Orb and Rod of Tahuti as the 4th and 5th items is also a bit tough on the wallet. Those are the 2 most expensive magical items in the game, and when you're not covering certain key stats for damaging gods, these are difficult to recommend at this stage.

Thank you for your feedback! This build was created at the beggining of patch 6.1, I appreciate the suggestion and I will be putting some of the current items as optional to balance this out as this is a joust build after all.

If you used the build in conquest then I dont think you will do anything, I never specified that this was a conquest build but I will fix this issue right away.

This hasn't got anything to do with conquest. Just because I prioritise and prefer conquest doesen't mean you should make the foolish assumption that I do not know how to build gods in other modes, as is the case with you.

This build should have spear of the magus at the very least (because the thing is you see, Spear of the magus is both good when dealing with squishies AND tanks, amazing I know), and perhaps at least some Cooldown reduction in the build (at least 20%, just throw in a chronos' pendant).

Example build: Shoes of the Magi, Chronos' Pendant, Spear of the Magus, Gem of Isolation, Rod of Tahuti/ Doom Orb, Bancroft's Talon/ Soul Gem.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
