When Xbalanque toggles on this ability, his Basic Attacks deal additional damage. When the bola hits, it splits into 2 that hit enemies up to 30 units behind the target for 37.5% damage (on-hit effects do not apply). Pressing the ability again cancels the toggle.

does this work for arena because i'm a arena main i dont really see any arena builds now

@kidcash, see my comments below. The build as is isn't very good IMO as it lacks some general things. You could still see success with the build as the game (esp in Arena mode) doesn't always require the best builds, and your skill level and the enemy skill level can play a big role. E.g. against lower skill enemies, you don't need a good build and you can still find ways to dominate.

Also, in some matches, you won't have as many tanks, and so you might not need as much pen (in these builds, provides the only pen which would typically not be much).

In any case, yes, you can use this for arena, but learning how to build yourself and being able to adapt to each match as needed will be much better for you in the long run.

Strongly suggest trying a modified version of this build. There are some basic problems with it.

For the standard build, if you want to use Hunter's Cowl as your main lifesteal, that's fine, though you can also consider the standard Devourer's Gauntlet or Asi and consider a different starter/upgrade combo. Both have their good features. When you go crit, I would say it's never a bad idea to consider Ornate Arrow, especially when you're only building 2 crit items. This will give you much more consistent crits late-game. Alternatively, you can just get a late-game DB and skip the Demon Blade, though I still like the item myself.

Devo's is great for the flat pen, but if you want more overall AS in your build (especially since Xbal doesn't have an AS steroid), you can also consider Asi which is pretty well-rounded at this point.
Transcendence is a nice item but I would consider it luxury. When you manage your Branching Bola well, you're not going to really need the mana this provides, though the CDR can also be nice in ways. But I would say it's typically unnecessary in the current state of items.
Trans is further unnecessary when one of the main stats needed is almost completely missing from the build. Where is the pen?!? The answer is basically nowhere. The Executioner and/or Dominance should be considered. Both can be purchased if you are facing more tanks. The lack of it is significant oversight or lack of build knowledge.

Here are some build sequences you can consider:

- ( -> (or ) -> -> -> -> . This is your non-crit build, has high pen and is based on Qin's for your main DPS.

- () -> (or ) -> -> -> -> . This build still relies early on Qin's for your main damage source, but late game you grab DB and upgrade to Ornate and you'll have 65% crit chance when Ornate is at full stacks (gold in hand). It allows you to get high pen with both Exe and Dom, but still build into good crit chance.

- () -> (or ) -> -> -> -> or . This will give you high % pen (85%). Since you're focusing more on crits, you're getting Demon + DB earlier in the build, and finishing up late with either Qin's or Dom as preferred.
