Introduction

As of right now Geb is one of the greatest tanks, his kit has a knockup, a knockback, a great rotating tool, a stun, a shield which allows you and teammates to take more damage, and a CC cleanse. Geb can take massive amounts of damage with this build, it gives a variety of health, and both types of defense but it sacrifices magical damage which many bad support guides tell you to get.

Skills And How To Use Them

Hard as Rock Geb's passive is an amazing passive and it helps you take a lot more hits from assassins and hunters mid to late game.

Roll Out This ability is one you should max last, it is an amazing ability, behind able to travel from spawn to just passed the phoenix very quickly, also a great escape tool, rotating tool, it slows too great ability overall. You can also use it to gank and knock enemies into your territory but this is rather hard to do. You can use it to knock enemies away from your running adc, which is easier to do.

Shock Wave An amazing ability and clear, does great damage early game and since it's maxed first in this build it really helps clear the wave and hit the enemies. This ability knocks up which is great, its a very small knockup but it is actually much more effective than it seems when chasing a god. Something to note here is that it does more damage the closer you are to enemies, so if you are going for a clear go to either side of the minions so they all get equal damage, or go face to face with the brutes so they get the most damage and the archers get the least. This also stops you while you are using it, so you have to be relatively close to use it or the god will not be hit

Stone Shield This ability is mistakenly maxed first by many people Ive seen play Geb. You dont need super damage absorbing early, this is mainly used to cleanse crowd control only game, so dont max this first. The way you use this is to cleanse cc (occasionally trying to save your adc) and mid-late game you will use it to cleanse cc, and allow people to take more damage. Note cc will be applied while the shield is on, so if you see a ymir going for a freeze, wait until he freezes to put the shield on because it will completely cleanse your target. Fun thing to note is that if you cleanse a tick of fear from Fear No Evil your target will be immune to the rest of the fear ticks and most of the damage will be mitigated because of the shield if it is leveled up.

Cataclysm This ability honestly is not the greatest ult in the game, but it is still good. Mainly an initiator and chaser, great stun and the thing is, its in a wide circle around you making you able to initiate and stun a team if they are grouped up. The reason the damage/stun is not amazing is because of the fact that you can literally do 35% health of damage to the whole team, and stun them for 1.8 seconds. I wouldnt recommend using this on a single target, shockwave would be better for that. This works well with Blink.

Pros / Cons

PROS: Great support.
CC Cleanse
A shield which can take 650 damage (level 20) and cleanse cc
He's a Rock
G.E.B
Amazing initiate, being able to do 35% health as damage and stun them for 1.8 seconds possibly to the whole team.
His clear is good, it has a knockup and a good range.
Great escape.

CONS: His escape can be easily CC'd.
Roll Out can sometimes hit a god you are chasing way far ahead causing you to lose the poke/kill
Ult is underwhelming early game.
Requires a decent amount of farm as kills will not be achieved with this build
Damage equivalent to a level 1 Chronos trying to fight late game

Teamfights

In teamfights Geb's best aspect is his ultimate Cataclysm Early game this is a very underwhelming ultimate, but behind able to potentially stun the whole team for 1.8 seconds is a devastating aspect in teamfights. In teamfights Geb should be at the very front leading the charge, disrupting enemies with your Shock Wave and disengaging/chasing with Roll Out Also cleansing CC or supporting tower dives with Stone Shield (pay attention to allies taking big bursts!) Also bodyblocking! Bodyblocking is good.

Item Explainations

Midas Boots A small amount of HP and Mana, but increases your gold per second by 1. If you compare 2 games with and without this item you will notice a big difference, since you a re a tank and dont farm as much as the other people in your team, the extra 1 gold per second makes a huge difference.

Sovereignty A large amount of health and physical defense. Also allows your carry/team to be more tanky.

Mystical Mail This is a good item, a good amount of health, a good amount of defense, and an aura that does magical damage. It's great overall, and works in most situations, HOWEVER, you might not want to get this item if your carry is Apollo because it breaks the mez provided from him Serenade

Bulwark of Hope Provides magical defense, quite a bit of health, and a passive which reduces damage by 50% for a second (can be a lifesaver!)

Hide of the Urchin A GREAT mix of defense, health, mana, physical, and magical protection. It also provides 65 protections to BOTH at max stacks making a great defensive item.

Stone of Gaia Provides 70 Magical protection, but mainly used for the regeneration. The regeneration will help you sustain up in the battle (you probably won't be laning by the time you are here) Also if you have the FG buff you will heal right up if anything hits you.

Situationals

Reinforced Greaves This is a good item, but its too expensive to buy early honestly. But if you feel like you need the CC reduction go ahead and buy it early. Rebuy it later when build is done.

Pestilence Very cheap, very good magical protection item, get this instead of Mystical Mail If there is a lotta magical on the other team.

Mystical Mail Get this in place of Pestilence if there is a lotta physical on the other team.

Breastplate of Valor Get this if you need some CDR to spam more abilities and some mana. I'd advise getting this early if you are going to pick it up because the extra mana doesn't really help late game and if you are just going to pick it up for CDR, it's not worth it.

Shoes of Focus Good replacement for Midas Boots Or Reinforced Greaves if you looking for a more damaging build and more CDR

Ethereal Staff Good item if you want some more damage. All geb's abilities scale 50% of his magical power so geb isn't really a good "Bruiser Tank" but still can be a good pickup on him.

Actives

Wrath Of Gods A necessity to any support, secures fire giant, secures jungle buffs, helps clear mins, hits the titan. GET IT

Greater Blink Probably the best best best choice for Geb being able to blink instantly into the middle of the enemy team and ulting (kinda like Ares

Eye of Providence Good choice of you want to get into habit of warding.

Meditation Get this ONLY if you have MASSIVE TROUBLE handling your mana because geb isnt too many hungry AT ALL. So if you have a problem managing your mana buy this.

Girdle of Support Or Shell of Absorption Both good actives, but not up to par with the initiate blink can provide. If you don't like the blink style then you can choose to go with one of these.

WARD PLEASE

WARD PLEASE Ward WARD WINS GAMES. YOU CAN PUSH WHILE KNOWING WHAT'S BEHIND YOU, STAY SAFE IN LANE, FEEL SECURE IN LANE, AND SO MUCH MORE, JUST BUY WARDS AND WARD. LIKE PPDSFKDJSSJG

Geb's Matchups

Counters
Kali God I played against a legendary Kali {and many other kalis) as Geb And Kali just EATS your life away and adds it to her pool. This god will steal the healthpools of a rock. Also her stun can stop your escape and she can just cut cut cut and drink drink drink your life.
Hades This god outcc's you. His 3 heals, his 2 fears (which can be negated but still) his ultimate you just can't help your adc out of, hades just gives you a rough n tough time.
Athena Her CC is too much for you as well, her Confound Can be extremely difficult for you to fight against as it does its work very quickly and can just turn bad as it literally PULLS you toward her. IF however you have spectacular timing for the shield you can EASILY counter her but it is extremely difficult and something I still havent gotten down.

Gods That Geb Counter
Sobek A well timed Stone Shield will totally negate his pull and if you keep this up consistently you will dominate the duo lane and kill sobek's early game which wont allow him to be good.
Ares Easy easy easy matchup, Ares's chains are his killer, Stone Shield and all the effects are gone and ares easily becomes useless and cant be aggressive and burn your rock off.
Ymir Harder than Ares, but still counters ymir pretty hard in lane, considering the fact that you can totally negate his 3 which is his bread n butter for setting up the kills for his teammates.
Athena It takes a pretty good geb to completely counter athena's taunt, as it is very short and does its deadly work quickly. She can be a counter to you, or be countered by you.

One thing I noticed on the part on Breastplate of Valor is no mention of the 75 physical protections. Even though the mana is not as useful late game those are.

First off. WARDS!!!!! No wards. Wards are the most basic part of supporting. Constantly warding.

Next, you only list one active in the build. Then you list no situational items. Supports honestly have some of the most flexible builds. Yours has no flexibility.

No item descriptions. Just explain why to buy each item and add some situational items!!!!!!! 3 or 4 items should be core items. The other 2-3 should be situational.

There is no guiding. What you have is a really bad teamfight section. You literally just tell people to ult. So by your guide, this is how I'll play: Walk into the teamfight, ult, stand still and wait to see what happens. No laning phase section, no roaming section, nothing.

You have a few matchups. That's nice.

And dudeeeee. The colors hurt my eyes. Less colors please!

As for the ward part, this is not a general support guide, just for Geb. Warding is common sense, but I'll add it anyways since some people are dumb enough not to ward.

I'll fix some other stuff....
Also colors are love, colors are life. Dont be dissin.
