Introduction

Yo whats up guys this is Onag3ZaBoss here with a smite God guide bringing you a Guide for Fenrir. This guide is going to explain what items you need to play Fenrir effectively and why. This guide also tells you how to play Fenrir and get a score of say 28/0/14 (my personal best), so please, settle yourselves down and take the time to read through the information and hopefully it will help you play Fenrir as well as you possible can. Thank you, enjoy.

Fenrir's Lore

Mortals must rely on the wisdom of the Gods, but never forget they are fallible. They can be petty, churlish, and worst of all, wrong. What are the consequences for their mistakes? They should have slain the wolf-beast Fenrir, but they chose instead to bind him. Despite the warnings and prophecies he would tear Odin apart at Ragnorok and devour the earth and sky, they did not end Loki's son. Now, terror roams free. It is unknown how, but Fenrir is Unbound.

Thrice they tried to bind him, each time convincing Fenrir that the chains were nothing more than a challenge for his strength, a test to see if he could shatter them. The first two God-forged fetters were easily broken beneath the beast's terrible power, but the third was a ribbon, dwarf made, and Fenrir grew suspicious of the God's intentions. As a show of faith, he demanded one of them place a hand in his mouth, and if the ribbon proved magical in nature, he would exact punishment. Brave, if foolish, Tyr put his fist in Fenrir's maw as the ribbon was secured to the wolf's leg. Fenrir strained and screamed, but could not break free, and in rage, he devoured Tyr's hand.

For a time, Fenrir was forgotten, the dire prophecy just a memory. But they were all warned and the Gods did nothing. Fenrir is hungry now, the first hunter, an alpha among sheep, but no flesh will satisfy his need. It is revenge he craves, and now he is Unbound.

Hopefully you read that, or have read it somewhere else because you when ever you see a tyr on the other team, target him and try take out his other hand :)

What I think about the skills

Basic Fenrir build

Unbound Runes
This passive isn't the greatest in the game, but certainly isn't the worst. It works really well with Unchained for chasing and Brutalize for jungling. Ability Rating: 6/10

Unchained
This is a really good skill for closing the gap between you and a running enemy so that your Brutalize is in range. It also has nice damage. Ability Rating: 8/10

Seething Howl
Well, I don't know about this. I just don't find myself using this ability that much. It isn't really good unless you have full Runes, but i like to use them for Unchained or Brutalize because they benefit off the Runes more. Yes it may be useful if your on your own in lane and are at low health and get the extra physical life-steal, but the life steal can easily be acquired from items. This skill does have a pretty good use if you are jungling, for the extra power and life-steal early game. Ability Rating: 4/10

Brutalize
This ability is AMAZING. It is wonderful for getting those kill steals and chasing running low enemies. It is a 4-hit combo that deals 165 damage PER hit at full rank. What more is that your also immune to knockbacks/knockups. I recommend only use this ability on a low target to get the full use of of this. Also, don't be afraid to use this ability to dive towers for recalling enemies, just make sure you have Unchained ready so you can get out of there. Ability Rating: 9/10

Ragnarok
This ability is your bread and butter for ganking/chasing/setting up a kill for someone else... it is basically your bread and butter for getting someone killed. Only use this ability when you are setting up a kill with someone and make sure they know what you are going to be doing, because if they don't it may be a waste of an ult. Use this when you see someone sneaking away in a team fight with low health, or just it when coming out of the jungle and ganking. Try and grab someone and bring them into a nearby tower for even more damage, or near someone who has a strong AoE ult, like Ymir, Zeus. Poseidon, you get the point. Ability Rating: 9/10

Beast in the jungle

Unbound Runes
Now, this passive is actually really good for Fenrir if you are jungling because at full runes Brutalize does damage to all near by enemies, which makes camp clearing really easy. Also, at full runes, the life-steal and power form Seething Howl increases dramatically. Ability rating: 7/10

Unchained
This isn't the best skill for jungling. Yes it is an AoE but I tend to use it more as an initiator for ganking or escaping. There are some pros for this skill in the jungle such as making escaping from enemies in the jungle easier and initiating for a gank. Ability rating: 6/10

Seething Howl
Before I said that this ability wasn't too great for lanning, but the stroy changes for jungling. This ability helps you a lot in the jungle because of the life-steal and power it adds at full runes. Getting this ability first allows you to save money on health potions. Ability rating: 7/10

Brutalize
This ability is amazing, like I said before. Its really useful inside and out of the jungle. At full runes this ability does damage to all near by enemies for 75% of the damage, so when this ability is maxed which will it will be at level 10, you will be clearing the whole camp just by attack the leader with a fully runed Brutalize. Ability rating: 9/10

Ragnarok
This ability, like I said before, if your bread and butter for getting something killed. It is a wonderful ability for ganking, and as a jungler, your team will be counting on you to gank. I explain how to in one of the chapters BELOW Ability rating: 9/10

The Items and why

In this section of the guide I will explain why I chose those specific items for my Fenrir build

Warrior Tabi
I basically start any god with boots. For example for a tank like Ares i would build greaves first, for a mage, Shoes, and for any AP physical god, Tabi, and i like to upgrade it to Warrior Tabi for the extra penetration to take down those more tanky gods easier.

The Executioner
This is a really good item for Fenrir because it is fairly cheap and it offers nice attack speed and physical power. The passive on this item really helps to take down enemies quick and easy because every basic attacks reduce the targets physical protection (max 3 stacks). This can really help taking down those more tankier gods early game.

Frostbound Hammer
This item is great for any physical god because the passive reduces the targets movement speed by 25%. This can really help you get more basic attacks of to benefit from the passive of The Executioner. This item also adds nice physical power and health, which is really useful for Fenrir because he is fairly squishy.

Focused voidblade
This is nice item for Fenrir because he is squishy and those assassins like Loki or those ADC's like Apollo can really hurt. Focused voidblade adds a good amount of physical protection as well as some physical power. The reason why I choose this over Voidblade is because the penetration it offers is better that the aura on Voidblade which reduces the targets physical protection. I like the penetration better because you are an assassin and you would like to break though the targets armor, and The Executioner can do the armor reducing for you.

Deathbringer
This item is pretty self explanatory. It offers physical power and critical strike chance, but the main reason nearly all of the physical gods get this is because of the passive. The passive is amazing because it adds 50% damage to the critical strike damage which can really be a game changer.

6th items

Now for the choosing. You have to choose one of the 3 items i listed in the 6th item PO. Here i will explain what each item adds and why you should get it.

Qin's Blades
This item is great for your 6th item slot if you find that you can't do enough damage to the tank of the enemy team, because the passive helps that a lot, because your basic attacks will do more damage according to the targets maximum health, and tanks should usually have a LOT of health. Not to mention it also adds nice physical power, health and attack speed.

Rage
So your doing well, haven't died yet and getting heaps of kills. Why would you get something else other than Rage? You don't need the protection or the penetration, why not go for more critical strike chance to get more benefit out of Deathbringer. This item also physical power and attack speed, not to mention the awesome passive for more critz.

Titan's Bane
Grab this item if you find that the enemy team is afraid of you and are stacking up of physical protection, because it adds nice physical penetration. It's passive also allows all of your physical attacks (note that this includes your ability's as well) to get extra penetration, so Brutalize becomes a really problem for the enemy team.

Consumables

Here is a list of the possible consumables you might get.

Health potion
Pretty self explanatory. Good for early game sustain.

Mana Potion
Pretty much the same reason as the health potion

potion of physical might
This is a good potion to increase your physical damage when you haven't completed your build yet and don't want to pay 3k gold for Elixir of Power.

Elixir of Power
Offers a great amount of physical damage. I recommend only getting this item when you have completed your build because of the insane price.

Ward
A good choice of consumable if jungling or if you find you are getting ganked a lot, buy a few of these and place them around you in the jungle.

Actives

Here are a list of the possible actives you could get.

Aegis Amulet
A good defensive item that might just save your life if you use it correctly.

Combat Blink
I great choice of an active for chasing enemies or getting the hell outa there in a hurry.

Creeping Curse
A great active if you find that the enemy is too fast for you. Just pop this and whala.

Purification Beads
Another great life saver active. Buy this is the enemy team as gods with dangerous CC ults such as Fenrir or Ares.

Fenrir's play style

This is going to be a quite guide on how i like to play Fenrir.
Now, the art of playing Fenrir is to hang around at the back or near the jungle and only engage when a target is low. Although Fenrir can dish out enough damage early game to take down a full health enemy, you don't have a lot of health so you will die easily if you try to attack. This is why its a good idea to just sit back a little at let your partner do some damage before you jump in and grab a kill. Brutalize is really good for doing this. Try get a lane partner who can dish out a lot of damage, but not fast enough so they kill the enemy. Someone who worked really well for this was Ao Kuang. Be sure to just hang around behind your partner, and let them do the wave clearing because Fenrir can't wave clear effectively early game. To engage, use your Unchained to get closer to the enemy and so that your Brutalize is in range. Pop Brutalize and if the enemy was low enough you should have the kill secured. Now, retreat into the jungle, head back into lane. Rinse and repeat this process.

When ganking a lane, make sure you have your ult Ragnarok ready. Tell the lane you are going to gank that you are ganking and also tell them to retreat a little. Doing this should allow the enemies to push forward a little out of their tower and closer to yours. Now, run in, pop Ragnorok, grab the tankiest god and run into the tower. This way the tower can damage the god while your team pounces on him like ants on a dead worm :\. While your teammates are hacking away at the tank, turn and rush to the squishy god. Now you should be able to win the battle as long as you are careful. If you have full runes, (which you probably wont because Ragnarok uses them up) then jump on the enemy with Unchained to stun him, next basic attack him a few times until he is low, the Brutalize to finish him off. If you don't have full runes then do the same but it wont be as effective.

Summary

I hope you have enjoyed reading my guide on Fenrir the Unbound. I am still working on this build and I will make sure to update it regularly. Just remember that this is a guide and only a guide, so feel free to make some changes to the build. Please make sure to leave some feedback down in the comments section. If you think this was a good build then please up-vote the guide so that others can see it and hopefully it will help them too. If you don't like it or if I am doing something wrong, please don't down-vote, it gets me know where. Instead, leave a comment telling me what I did wrong and how i can fix it. If you do this it will be greatly appreciated. Please remember that I take all comments into consideration, even if I don't reply to them. Okay I'm going to leave it at that. I hope this guide helped you play Fenrir and I hope all goes well for your future games with this bad ***.
I am Onag3ZaBoss and until next time, bye.

Good work on the builds. Also, finding a way to incorporate some lifesteal in the first build and adding HOG as an early addition for the jungle Fenrir build would make them stronger builds I believe.

i can tell you that right now

If u was to use my soul stealer build u can take on anyone on only IF ... IF you get the build done you can take tanks and other assassins and mages but you wanna stay away from bow's like Neith and Artemis because people love to pack them full of attack power and critical damage but anyone else after u get your build done you can take on just do go soloing into the enemy team tho make sure your party is running with you have them run with you or u run with them soo u let them start to get them all down low in hp and u just Unchained your way in there Seething Howl and just use basic attack

reason why i say you can take on anyone but bow's is because the build i use is mainly life steal and crit damage soo IF your gunna solo someone and they see you comeing at then done use Brutalize make sure you have full Unbound Runes and use Unchained (Unchained with full runes stuns gods when hit with it) and then basic attack them and whatever damage they are putting out on you you'll be getting it back long as your hitting them with every hit of basic attack

i hope this help if u want to see the items u need for Soul Stealer goo check my guide out (its not finish)

Hello.
I really appreciate this comment. It has helped me a lot and I will try fix up the build so you can get a little more damage. I am actually about to jump into a game now and test out a few builds. This may take a while to change all the item explanatory sections so if it doesn't update straight away, its probably because I'm still working on it. Once I finish doing that I'll try re arrange the guide so that it looks nicer.
Anyway thanks again for the comment and be sure to check back in, say, 3-4 weeks.

Awesome man! love to here fen players tearing up the competition! Good luck on your theory crafting!

As far as the guide goes and available info , it's not bad, pretty decent info and seems like you put good enough work into with the icons I do see, of-course you could add more and perhaps more importantly organize things a little better but overall I think it's a nice guide. That was my unbiased review, now its time for me to be butthurt... I'm sorry but I don't think you have played fenrir long enough if u are saying he can't put a lot of damage out early on, the reason for that is you are building hardly any damage at all! tbh, I really don't like your build... fatalis, frostbound hammer and souleater are all far to weak to expect damage, which explains your "Kill steal mentality on him" which could possibly be a difference in ideology. I for one don't killsteal with fenrir and still get good results and I feel it's best not to full on "Killsteal" but if that's your thing then I guess I can't really be upset, but I will say "no! bad dog!" to that. All-in-ALL I simply just feel like your wasting a lot of fenrir's potential with this build. sure you killsteal your way to the top and your score is really impressive but Killsteals doesn't always if ever win games, a solid foundation for your build and good team-play (which sometimes involves giving others kills) is what takes people to the top imo. But of-course this is all my VERY bias opinion.

As for more advice goes, I see alot of pros build items like voidblade early on regardless of role, experiment around with that or some-sort of pen other than boots and you might find that fen's damage is in fact awesome early game.

Sorry about the semi rage, hope you can take this at face value and see what I'm trying to say.
