He abuses Death's Toll. At his very core, Erlang is an assassin-like warrior. Which is why you don't see him in solo very often, but I'm here to make him viable. This starter is the best one for Erlang because he has very fast base attack speed meaning he can sustain quite a bit. Chalice and pots for even more sustain. Blink for early aggression and beads for safety.
Upon your first back, try to buy Ninja Tabi. This will increase your attack speed helping you heal much more from Death's Toll. Buy some wards for aggression and safety or pots for more sustain.
Berserker's shield drastically increases your damage output early on. Giving you more attack speed, penetration and power but not very many prots. The item, though not giving you the sustain it once did, is still a worthy pick up on Erlang.
The Sledge in tandem with Erlang's potential to solo kill makes him a tank that can also rip you to shreds. He is very dangerous if he's fed or even. From behind he's not as much of a threat but come mid game he'll come around. The Sledge has much to offer, the stats giving you so much to work with and a passive that makes you tankier the more enemies there are around you is just a worthy pick. Plus, more health means more healing from Death's Toll(it heals 1% health per auto).
Part of what makes him so strong is not only his lock down and solo potential, but it's his immense damage. Building him hybrid is truly the only way to build him in solo. We're focusing on damage potential as well as making him seemingly unkillable. Stonecutting will help us do just that. You steal prots and give them to yourself. It's flat pen so the squishies don't stand a chance.
Oni Hunter's Garb, though it's magical protection, will make you increasingly tankier. The passive gives you 15% damage mit at max stats. Plus the increase in health and CCR makes you very hard to kill. It will be your only magical protection item because from here on it's all damage, baby.
Death's Embrace I feel is the better upgrade because they'll be countering your healing if they're smart. So you can instead focus on running down the carries and tearing them apart. Your attack speed will be incredible alongside your damage and small bit of pen. But you'll be tanky enough that you won't get one shot like a jungle Erlang would.
Qin's Sais is my go-to here. This item will help you destroy anyone in your way. This item is my personal favorite to swap out for boots because of the insane damage potential.
Toxic Blade is great for antiheal. If the carries are somehow outhealing your damage this will put a stop to that.
Ichaival is great into high AA team comps, but I wouldn't suggest it otherwise.
Serrated edge is just a fun item on Erlang, being that you use all three of your base abilities really quickly so you get the full effect of the passive. If they neglect to build antiheal go this item.
Void Shield doesn't amplify your attack speed but it makes you a little tankier while helping you do more damage per auto. All around a great item.
Mantle of Discord is seriously a good item to consider because once you get low you'll ult and the passive will make you cc immune and stun anyone for 1 second giving your ult a decent headstart to finish casting.
Spirit Robe is so underrated. The stats are really nice for any warrior, and the passive makes you tankier. It's simply a great item.
Pridwin is a little weird because it only gives you the shield after you've healed. But it can come in clutch. Maybe you ulted and they've almost killed you but then you heal and you have a shield. That'd be nuts.
Magi's Cloak is only good if they can cancel your dash with a cripple, stun, or mesmerize. Your dash is your biggest escape/chase tools.
Frostbound Hammer is good for slowing down a lot of immobile carries and the attack speed of the ADC you're brawling with.
Maxing your dash is the best way to secure a kill, apply instant damage to a pinned target, or chase someone out. If you wanted to poke out your opponent you could even max your 2, but I advise to stick with maxing your dash. Your 1 doesn't become overly impactful until late game when you're constantly picking fights and burning objects. So maxing your pin for a little more ranged poke will be a little more worth. Put points into your ult whenever you can.

2. Erlang Solo isn't good (he's mainly a Jungle god, with some potential in Support). He wasn't even played in Solo at the start of the season when the itemisation was ideal for him (pre nerf Manakins, pre nerf Death's Toll, pre nerf Berserker's).
To deal damage to guardians though you would just need to build percentage penetration items like Serrated Edge and The Executioner, or Qin's Sais which will take a good chunk out of their health.
However, this is the main issue with Erlang in solo right now. Because he hasn't got any crowd control immunity he can get wrecked pretty hard by guardians that are protecting the backline when trying to kill the mid or carry.
Death's Toll > Ninja Tabi > Shifter's Shield / Stone Cutting Sword > Void Shield > Talisman of Energy > Qin's Sais > Swap DT for Pridwen > Swap boots for Ichaival / Toxic Blade / alternative
Edit: nevermind mink doesen't have haste anymore. but regardless haste is unnecessary, you're an all in god and you don't need haste for sticking.
Is there any way to play this character correctly? Also, can you suggest some viable build options for Clash and Siege? I don't play Conquest that much and I'd like to know if something could be adjusted accordingly. Thanks!
