Standard starting items providing early CDR and building into Book of Thoth for high early power.
You should generally have enough mana sustain from Sands, but you can adjust potions as preferred.
Standard build example with max CDR, providing core damage items (high % pen via Coin and bonus damage from Reaver).
If anti-heal is needed, refer to the anti-heal build.
Choose relic upgrades as preferred.
This build incorporates Divine Ruin to counter enemy healing, while still providing good CDR and penetration.
Choose relic upgrades as preferred.
This start is great if you want to plan for a high CDR build to utilize Gem of Focus's passive damage and movement utility.
This build example focuses on high early CDR via Chronos' Pendant, and looks to max CDR quickly. It is still able to provide strong penetration from the combination of Charon's and Myrddin.
Pythagorem's Piece provides good team utility but can be substituted with
Soul Gem if preferred.
Choose relic upgrades as preferred.
These items may not be purchased in every match but are useful and can be subbed in for other items as needed or preferred.
Soul Gem &
Pythagorem's Piece: choose one or the other for your main lifesteal whenever you feel you need it. SG is meta but Pythag's provides some useful utility in a teamfight.
Divine Ruin: specific item purchased any time to counter healing. If anti-heal is not needed, consider
Spear of Desolation (CDR).
Staff of Myrddin: mid/late purchase option that provides CDR and % pen. Great for bonus damage when following your ult with your standard abilties.
Obsidian Shard: Alternative to
Charon's Coin, consider late-game if you need a burst of high penetration.
Choose from these relics as needed / preferred. Purification Beads is typically a core 1st relic.
Chaotic Beads (Purification upgrade): Helpful to counter enemies that are specifically targeting you.
Temporal Beads (Purification upgrade): Better if most CC is applied to you from distance and you want the CDR effect to continue contributing to teamfights.
Aegis of Acceleration (Aegis upgrade): Helpful to maintain distance in a teamfight where most incoming damage is ranged.
Aegis of Judgement (Aegis upgrade): Potentially better upgrade if enemies jump in to attack you from close range.
Unruly Magic is prioritized for waveclear and poke function.
Strife is next max priority for damage potential.
Play safe near your tower until level 3 when you gain your escape, or just grab Erratic Behavior at level 2.
Level the ult when possible.

You are not limited to the information provided herein. Even if this reaches beyond 2,000 characters (qualifying it as a guide), it can still be considered as a build for the contest. These builds are designed for use in the Mid-Lane in the Conquest mode, but can be used in any other mode as well. (Identifies mode and role)
While Discordia has good burst damage potential, she usually does very well with a good amount of CDR. Her abilities are usually applied at distance, and she should be on the backline in teamfights. You will be most effective when you're maintaining distance for safety, and spamming your abilities for poke and control. (Optional information: quick description of playstyle.)
This information is also contained in the NOTES portion of the corresponding section above, but has been included here as an example for alternative placement. This offers a brief explanation of when and how to slot in alternative items. |
