Full build

Notes Bluestone Brooch its the best item for physical midlaners, nevertheless we dont really want to upgrade it until we have Titan's Bane.

Transcendence its one of the items that give the biggest amount of damage on the game. Appart from that his passive will convert our mana from items into more strength making it the best item for physical midlaners.

Oath-Sworn Spear gives a great stat, flat penetration making this item to be perfect for early-game on ability based gods.

Heartseeker gives more mana that synergies perfect with Transcendence passive. Moreover, as tanks in this meta are bulding a lot of hp items, this item passive will give you the possibility to blast them in seconds.

Titan's Bane its the core and power spike of the build, as this item will give you the necessary penetration to kill tanks in seconds. After building this item go look for fights as you will be dominating them.

Jotunn's Revenge helps us with the cooldowns, as one of the most important things on a midlaner is the ability to be spamming abilities every second. This item will help us with that. Besides the extra mana amount that will improve the Transcendence passive.

The Crusher will close the build with its great stats, cooldown and a great passive that will make your abilities to one-shot any backliner.

Situational items

Notes Barbed Carver instead of Oath-Sworn Spear in case you want to add some lifesteal to your build. Moreover, his passive its similar but it isnt flat pen, its extra damage you get after each ability hit.

Aegis of Acceleration instead of Purification Beads in case we dont need any CC inmunity as we are facing some gods like Vulcan or Tsukuyomi

Blinking Abyss instead of Jotunn's Revenge in case we need to have a second way to scape, in this situation we will be losing a lot of cooldown but we will be much more safer.

Brawler's Beat Stick instead of Oath-Sworn Spear in case you need anti-heal.

God Aspect De-Activated

Aspect of the Heroic Tutor

Target Mark now only applies to one target, and you passively copy 10% of damage done to that target, dealing it again as Physical Damage. Target Mark can no longer apply to lane minions. Training Exercise boosts Allies' Strength and Intelligence when it hits of cleanses them. Centaurus has less scaling, but slows enemies, and when it hits allies, grants them Attack Speed, Shield and applies Herbal Medicine's buff.

Chiron's Skill Order Notes We upgrade three points on Training Exercise so we have a great push, after that we focus on maxing Masterful Shot to apply the highiest amount of slow and damage. Moreover, we upgrade our ultimate Centaurus whenever we can and for the last our scape Giddyup!.

Introduction

Hi, my name is Ragna and I started playing Smite 1 on PC in 2021. I started playing in little community tournaments and after a lot of training and work I manage to play professional tournaments on Atlanta as the Smite Content Cup in 2024.

Now, in Smite 2 I have reached Deity every single split and I have competed in tournaments like Smite Vegas Qualifiers (ending in 5th position of EU) and right now Smite Prime, so Im always getting updated about the best metas on the game.

Apart from that I have a Twitch channel Ragna_smite where we play Smite 2 every single day and we do coaching for the subs to help them to improve on Smite 2, answering questions, talking about the game, etc.

Hope you find this guide as a good starting point for the midlane and helps you improve your Chiron skills and knowledge.

Here are my socials:

Abilities

Chiron's Abilities

Passive - Herbal Medicine

Every 12 seconds, you gain a charge. When you use an ability, you consume a charge to heal the lowest health allied god within range and grant them a Strength and Intelligence buff.

This passive allows you to act as a secondary support in lane. You don't need to do anything special to activate it; just playing normally will automatically sustain you or your lane partner, keeping you both in the fight longer.

Ability 1 - Training Exercise

Deploys a constellation area that grants CC Immunity (Cleanse) to allies instantly. After a 1-second delay, it explodes dealing Physical Damage.

This is one of the best utility abilities in the game. While it offers good wave clear, its true power is the Cleanse. Save this to free yourself from heavy crowd control like Ares chains or Fenrir stuns.
Ability 2 - Masterful Shot

Passive: Your Basic Attacks and Abilities mark enemies reducing their Physical Protections.
Active: Fires seeking arrows at all marked targets, damaging and Slowing them.

This creates an "undodgeable" finisher. Do not use this at the start of a fight. Poke the enemy with Basic Attacks to apply the Protection Reduction mark first, then activate this when they try to run away to secure the kill or slow them down.

Ability 3 - Giddyup!

Chiron dashes forward, dealing damage and Knocking Back enemy gods. You are immune to displacement while dashing.

This is your main mobility tool, but it is also an offensive weapon. You can use it to dash into an enemy to knock them backward into your tower or your team. Since you are immune to knockups while dashing, use it to counter gods like Bacchus or Anhur.

Ultimate - Centaurus

Transform into a constellation and fire 3 long-distance shots that pass through walls and enemies. If you would die while channeling, you stay alive until the ability ends. Killing an enemy in this state heals you.

This is your "Clutch" button. The range is massive, allowing you to snipe enemies through walls. The revival mechanic is key: if you are about to die, pop this ultimate and try to secure a kill on a low-health enemy to cheat death and stay in the fight.

Example Combos

Standard Poke: Basic Attack -> Masterful Shot -> Training Exercise

The Agrresive Combo: Giddyup! (Push enemy back) -> Basic Attack -> Training Exercise (Under their feet) -> Basic Attack -> Masterful Shot

The Scape Combo: Training Exercise (On yourself when CC'd) -> Giddyup! (Dash away)

How to play Chiron

Gameplay Start / Early Game

  • Push your first wave using Training Exercise. Place it so it hits the entire minion wave.

  • Go to your side camps with your jungler. Your passive, Herbal Medicine, is amazing here because using your ability to clear the camp will also heal your teammate and give them a Strength buff.

  • Return to lane and focus on poking. Chiron has a very strong trading tool: hit the enemy with a Basic Attack to mark them, then immediately fire Masterful Shot to deal unavoidable damage and slow them down.

  • At this stage, Chiron is safe but mana-hungry. Focus on farming efficiently. You don't need to look for solo kills aggressively; simply poking the enemy out of lane with your unmissable arrows is enough to win the lane.

  • Save Giddyup! exclusively for escaping or interrupting enemies. If you dash aggressively effectively, you lose your only way out. Remember, you can shoot while dashing, so you can retreat while still dealing damage.

Mid Game:
  • We enter the mid-game once you have your core power and penetration items online. You now have enough damage to threaten squishy targets with your burst combo.

  • Look for rotation opportunities. Your dash makes you rotate faster than most mid-laners. Use Centaurus to snipe enemies in other lanes from a massive distance—you don't even need to fully commit to the gank to help secure a kill.

  • Your utility becomes vital here. In 2v2 or 3v3 skirmishes, watch your teammates closely. If your Jungler gets stunned, instantly place Training Exercise on them to Cleanse the CC. This can turn a lost fight into a winning one instantly.

  • Don't waste Masterful Shot on full-health targets. Wait until the enemy tries to flee or juke. Since the arrows seek the target, it guarantees you finish off low-health enemies who think they have escaped.

Late Game:
  • At late game, Chiron transitions into a backline carry who provides massive team utility. Your protection reduction on Masterful Shot helps your entire team shred tanks.

  • Important things you should always be thinking about to survive and deal damage:
    • The Revive Play: Never die with your Ultimate up. If you are about to go down, activate Centaurus. You become unkillable for the duration, and if you land a killing blow on any enemy, you come back to life.
    • Peel for yourself: If an Assassin jumps on you, use Giddyup! to dash into them briefly to knock them back, then keep running. This creates space for you to turn around and fight.
    • Cleanse Timing: Save Training Exercise for major ultimates. Dropping this on your team when an Ares or Da Ji pulls them can save the entire game.

  • During Fire Giant sieges, use your Ultimate to zone the enemy jungler. You can shoot through walls, so you can damage them without them ever seeing you, forcing them to back off.

  • If you are sieging a Phoenix, stay back. Use your basic attacks to chip away at the tower, and save your cooldowns to peel for your team. If the enemy engages, your Cleanse is more valuable than your damage.

  • If accuracy is your strength, Chiron is deadly. Hitting three shots of Centaurus in a row on a carry will usually kill them from full health, allowing your team to walk in and win the game.

How to ward as a midlaner

Early/Mid Game

Here you can see the best spots to ward as a Midlaner.

These wards will help you to be safe during the first instances of the game, giving you the information about if your getting ganked from the solo or duo side.

Very Passive Situation

These wards will help you recover if you come from a bad spot i which maybe you are getting ganked a lot or invaded

Late Game

These wards are use to help your team on teamfight situations or fire gigant pulls, there are a lot of possibilities take those ones who you consider that suits the best to your game situation.

Siege / Defense Phoenix

For this situation there are only two main spots to have a ward, as you can see them rotating from one lane to the others, maybe you could even put one at lane to see if minions are approaching the phoenix but it isn't that important as knowing which lane they are going to siege.

As with that information you could be able to be on the right position before your enemies giving you a great advantage for the teamfight.

Regardless of the role, wards are the most important consumable you can buy, so don't forget to buy two wards after each back!
