Odin summons a flock of Ravens that create a shield around him. When the Shield expires it explodes outward, dealing damage to nearby enemies based on how much Health it had remaining. The shield will not expire while Odin is using Lunge, and will always detonate upon landing, dealing bonus damage.

Gungnir's Might

Odin begins empowering Gungnir with Runic Magic, becoming immune to knockbacks. Every second, Gungnir changes runes and Odin pulses out damage around him, slowing enemies for 2s. When Odin releases Gungnir it travels forward, damaging enemies and stopping on the first god hit. The first rune causes allies around Odin to gain Attack Speed for 3s. The second rune allows Gungnir to stun.

Ring of Spears

Odin summons a wall of spears that blocks his enemies movement. Enemies inside the ring cannot heal, and their power is reduced by 15%. Odin is immune to Slows and Roots while in his Ring. A portion of the wall can be destroyed when hit by 5 Basic Attacks. Enemies that leave the ring through or over a wall are chased by Gungnir, taking damage and becoming slowed for 2.5s. Enemies that die inside Ring of Spears grant Odin a permanent bonus to Physical Power.

In short here is how I would build but I will explain thoroughly below.

So to start off obviously, is how I would start every build.

For boots, , and is generally match dependent. Tabi is more for if you have the higher pressure duo lane to keep that pressure up, greaves more for the opposite and having the prots to stay in lane longer; finally talaria I would lean more towards how comfortable you are with them, with the main focus being to rotate often between mid and duo.

Next is , a solid cornerstone in any support build.

Generally between 5-10 minutes into the match you will have rotated into the mid lane so that the ADC can farm more. Because of this I would build a magical defence item before a physical (unless there was a physical support / mid). So here I would go , decent support base stats with a passive that stacks well with your 3 for shredding objectives and being useful at all stages of the game. Other alternatives could be , , , .

For a physical support, is your strongest item of choice, being able to reduce enemy protections for your other physical roles (typically Jungle, ADC and Solo) is of great benefit. However there are some good alternatives and if your Jungle or Solo has already built Void then it could be better to pick up . Other good choices depending on situation could be , , and .

The next two items are pretty core at the moment, with you will be getting blink for the cage initiation in fights, plus whichever second relic you choose will always have benefit with a lower cooldown; hence with is so good. is a great choice for taking the damage in place of your carry's, but depending on situation or could see better use.

Finally to replace boots an easy fill item is , great tank stats all around. However there are many options to replace boots, it could be any of the items I have mentioned above; or you could buy if your team is snowballing. Some other options are , , , or .

Start: Guardian's, tier 1 boots, 4 health pots, HoG (for purple).

Warrior Tabi > Thebes > Void Shield > Oni Hunter's/Genji's > Relic Dagger/Sledge/Spectral > Mantle/Spirit Robe. Sell boots for Heartseeker.

Against 4+ Physical comps swap Thebes for Sovereignty.

Against 4+ Magical comps swap Thebes for Runic Shield (or Heartward, or Go Runic > Heartward after Boots).

Some alternatives depending on situation:

Sub Reinforced Greaves (extra tankiness) or Talaria Boots (MP5 is appreciated) for Warrior Tabi
Sub Breastplate of Valor for Void Shield for the CDR and mana...if you get BoV, suggest getting Oni over Genji.
If you don't want the extra damage, consider any other item over Heartseeker

Talaria isn't as good since nerf, not awful but they gave Warrior Tabi mana now. Tank Boots should be pretty decent next patch but they're pretty boring options. And on Odin I don't see why not to go Warrior Tabi for the early game spike.

BoV isn't awful, CDR is a bit more important since his cooldown nerfs but i'd probably rather have Void Shield. Or you could get BoV and sell boots for Void Shield.

This is true...these are just alternative options. I definitely feel the recent MS nerf on Talaria / Traveler's hurts the item. However, for someone like Odin, I DO still feel that Talaria is worth it if you want it, especially as you don't get much with mana sustain in the early game otherwise.

I agree the power spike in getting Warrior is good for Odin and his early/mid game, but 100 mana is basically one extra bird bomb...it's just not that much. The 15 MP5 will surpass that in 35 seconds, and you'll normally be out for much longer than that.
