Yeah, I was only joking about neith being the meta, but I just get this feeling that Neith, hou yi and Chiron are practically all you'll ever see now.

I'll probably be wrong, but who knows.

Yes, and then do the same to the other classes. Then Power creep won't be such an issue.

I've read the patch notes now, and I guess that means it's time to get to work on my guide again. I guess that means this week's comic is going to be shorter.

more like ability based hunter nerfs. i swear, they have been the meta for 2 years now (exept when Golden Bow hit) and its pretty ****ing annoying.

Artemis deserves to stay in a meta where the one thing that is not keeping her in is a broken item.

Edit: after giving it some thought, i think they should nerf Transcendence's power, and buff Devourer's Gauntlet's power so it would ultimately have more power then trans. this would cause ability based hunters to save their abilities for the fights, because the aa centric ones will deal more damage with aas, meaning that they can not outbox those hunters unless they combine their abilities.
this might backfire with a better early for the aa hunters, but i say its worth a shot.

Can we get some items for the guardians or something?
Idk what it is about support ALWAYS being the last selected role in conquest or in other game modes there's just not a guardian in the game period.
It's like no one wants to pick guardians.
I'm assuming it's cause they're not really fun to play or something, except Cabrakan. I find him one of the funniest guardians to play for some reason.
Used to be Xing, but he could literally be the reason you lose a match

Odin and a buff- these 2 words shouldn't be used together but well.

Golden Bow removed- interesting, kind of lazy way of balancing hunters I guess but maybe sufficient for now. What'll happen with Mercury though?

Anubis and a buff. Wow. I didn't think I'd live to see that day. Too bad it won't be very helpful ("focused kit that relies on high damage output and pinpointed Crowd Control. With the changes to Mummify and Death Gaze..." - a bow towards the "wrap ult" playstyle which I disapprove. Sigh.) but hey it's a buff. I'd much more rather have some base hp instead of this 10 points of movement though.

Guan Yu change is debatable; I'm sure there are people who'll see it as a buff but for my playstyle its a huge nerf. Now his heal needs scaling or it'll become obsolete. Maybe reduce max rank value from 170 to 150 but give 40% scaling or something, don't know.

The reason they took out Golden Bow is because it's an item whose design requires you to balance characters around its existence (sort of like old bluestone). Because Smite is still very clear focused, an item that drastically boosts characters clear throws balancing for a spin. Thus they had two options, continue to balance around Golden Bow, leaving it as a crutch and a must buy for characters without good clear, or take it out and balance characters simply by their design. To be honest, I think they should take out the current Bluestone Pendant as well since it causes the same issues, albeit to a lesser extent than old bluestone.
