My name is Amber and i'm 22. i've been playing smite since Bellona's release, and she was my first X! still play her to this day.
I actually found this site when asking for Kukulkan help on reddit and one guy recommended you guys, but he got downvoted into the ground, but i decided to check this place out anyway. been using it for builds ever since.
Ever since the recent election, i have been so devastated, so i started playing a lot more Smite to try to cheer me up and i've been having lots of fun with my friends.
I don't really have much else going on in my life rn tbh, i got my first degree in social studies not too long ago, but i've been too busy with BLM and the trump riots to actually look for a job, thinking of going back to do my second degree but i don't really have big plans. i do know that i want to make a change, i have yet to decide how, though.
So that's it! i'm pretty excited to start being active on this site, maybe ii'l make a bellona build, idk.
Ahhhh hahaha...not surprised Reddit destroyed that guy's comments. That group has some cool people, but the general community has a huge stigma against SmiteFire. I can understand why...there are a lot of newer people that try their hand at presenting builds and guides. A lot of these newer people (or even somewhat regular players) may not have delved deeply into the mechanics of the game, and it's understandable. There's a lot to the game, and unless you actively work toward it, understanding diminishing returns, interactions between protection reduction and penetration, etc., can be difficult.
The thing is, although there are a bunch of questionable guides, there are also a lot of good ones. It seems the general community (and the population as a whole) is just too lazy to dedicate the time to find them. They want to go to the site and not have to think about anything...just be hand-fed high quality, pro-ranked info on how to destroy n00bz. Sort of like our current political reality show, since you mention it. Oh, don't like the various issues plaguing our country? Hell, let's make America great again! I'll go for the guy that:
- Is rich. He's an absolute business success story! Maybe he'll make me rich too!
- Speaks to my hidden
- Did what? And he got away with it?!? Damn...maybe if he's president, he'll make it officially LEGAL. I'm IN.
I can't say that I liked any of the candidates. I can't say that I trust any politician. I mean, as the leader of the most influential country in the world (by GDP if nothing else...money speaks volumes, amirite?), shouldn't that individual be a person you want your kids to look up to, that embodies...at least enough humanitarian qualities that you shouldn't fear what they might do to, well, everything?racistxenophobicextremistum...opinionated nature. Did I say opinionated? I meant factual.Rant over for now. Glad you and others have found this site to contain helpful information, and that many of you make this a fun site and community.
Also...if I may throw in my suggestion (which may or may not work for you or be ANYTHING that you would want)...business. You talk about a 2nd major...business. It has almost universal function and can give any other career options more solidarity. Not that I'm in a position of knowledge...I only have the one (Bio), and have no plans for another. I'm too old to learn things, anyway. XD
