Which one of these would you recommend to try out for Joust?

I have a friend who is newer to the game and he is playing Zeus a lot. I feel like Zeus needs at the very least, Chronos Pendant, and also I feel like Bancroft is so important to grab right away on him too, especially in Joust as that scaling he can get early game from it when low - drop his ult on himself and just get some insane healing is just too good to pass up.

Would Example Build 6 be pretty good in joust you think in most scenarios, unless needing anti heal?

I find it so hard because I almost want to have him get Shaman ring instead of Soul Reaver because of the 10% stacking with RoT's 25%. But would soul reaver just be better due to raw power?

Which example build would you recommend against a tanky team in joust?

Also the Tahuti synergy with Shaman’s is quite potent but yeah you would probably need to test what is best.

Honestly, I’m not too familiar with current Joust meta, so I can’t say what would be best. But, assuming by “tanky team” you mean double tank comp in Joust, I would probably go something like Cdr boots, spear of magus, Ethereal Staff, Soul Reaver, Obsidian Shard, last item get Mantle Of discord. Sell cdr boots for speed elixir and chronos’ pendant or shaman’s or soul gem. But even that build suggestion might not be that good. You may have to use trial and error to see what works. Otherwise maybe ask Trelli Relli on his twitch when he’s streaming to see what he would build, or check what top ranked Joust players build on Zeus (smiteguru or smite.gg I’m not sure).

I'm fairly new to Zeus. Would there be anyway to change a build to make it fit an ADC role or would it just work using Talon? Thanks for the build.

Well Zeus isn’t really an ADC, and Mages that don’t have basic attack steroids that boost their basic attack power scaling don’t have that high damaging auto attacks, so if as Zeus you try to box a ADC with basics only you will lose if the enemy hunter built properly and has lifesteal. Though, yeah if I had decided to take Zeus to duo lane I would consider Bancroft’s Talon or Pythagorem’s Piece after boots. I’d also consider magus after that, than you can just go into more power (and divine ruin if needed), if you need extra pen against tanks you get obs shard. Early game Dynasty Plate Helm can be decent against high pressure Duo lane matchups too - especially against a physical support + physical ADC. Also when picking Zeus ADC you’re going to lack the consistent destructive/objective dps that a hunter brings, so I best recommend playing Zeus in ADC when you have a hunter in Mid.

And if it's because the pros do it...I just don't see it being that great for most regular players.

0 CDR from any item, and Soul Reaver as a presence in all builds is also something I personally don't prefer. At least a bit of CDR would be very helpful for consistent poke threat, though I know his burst is more important. And with so many AOE/multi-hit abilities, Soul Reaver might not hit the target you want (since it targets the enemy with highest health when it hits multiple gods at once).

With regard to that AOE, and since most of these builds have high power, I'm thinking health sustain by the means of Soul Gem might be functional. Standard lifesteal might not be preferred since it has that 0.33x coefficient on AOE/multi-hit abilities, but Soul Gem isn't subject to that, since it's more a heal than lifesteal, with set healing values. And it should stack very quickly in most cases.

Thoughts?

I've noticed high level conquest players and some pros like PrettyPrime build it second for what I believe is to heavily enhance the damage from Detonate Charge earlygame (which falls off lategame - also notice the levelling order).

I'll add Soul Gem as an alternative item but I don't think I've seen anyone build it on him.

And for regular players I have the build with warlocks as recommended (Build 4).

I did note the leveling order, and agree with it.

Okay, so 162% scaling (3x charges) on an ability with good base damage, with Tahuti's potential for already being active due to hitting 3 charges, is a lot of damage. Got it.
