"He has a bad early game but becomes amazing as time goes on." - well no suprise there genius you're double stacking book of thoth and warlocks' staff, this paired with the fact you're building spear of the magus on vulcan convinces me you're a troll. For that I have to downvote.

This is a copy-paste of a build Mast did a video on with no real idea of how to properly utilize it. Mast even mentioned in his video that he doesn't recommend it because it's a bit of a meme and is more suited to people who are used to double stacking from back when it was meta. Anyeay, I've posted my thoughts about yhe build, but the author is another one of those one and donets so I'm not going to waste any more time on it aside from my down-vote.

Double stacking was only meta for like the first month or so of season 5.

There are a couple of problems with your build:
  1. You're building two stacking items: both Warlock's Staff and Book of Thoth. The problem with double stacking items is that you may not be able to finish both. Pick one or the other, but not both. I'd personally go with staff and drop both Thoth and Book of the Dead. Grab an early Hide of the Urchin (after your main defense item) instead.
  2. You have no real mana sustain. Drop the health chalice and get Mana Potions instead; that or some Multi Potions.
  3. Vulcan doesn't have any abilities that reliably process Spear of the Magus. Get something else like Divine Ruin or Spear of Desolation for flat pen.
  4. I'd swap out Shoes of Focus for Shoes of the Magi because you'll get CDR from the blue buff, your defense item, and a fully evolved Mage's Blessing.
  5. You have NO counter-items for your lane opponent. If you're playing solo, you need to build some type of defense against your opponent. For Vulcan I'd go with Breastplate of Valor against a physical opponent and Genji's Guard against a magical. You should also consider Pestilence for opponents with high healing like Chaac, Hercules, Hel, etc.
  6. You have no alternative items like the aforementioned divine ruin, Magi's Cloak, or Mantle of Discord. No 2 games are going to be exactly alike, so one build does not fit all.

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods.
