Welcome!

Vulcan - The Smith of The Gods

Hello!

Welcome to a guide that will help you master the Smith of the middlelane!
I've tried my best to create a build for Vulcan that can make you win your lane against nearly every single midlaner.

Sorry if there are small grammar issues, i'm from a non-english speaking country
Feel free to give some contructive feedback in the comments ^^

Counters/Good against:

These are the champs that Vulcan can make a good game out of:

1st. We have Odin.
The reasons why i choose Odin, is mainly because of his skillset.

1. He can give allies attackspeed (Inferno Cannons)
2. Odin can buff allies with Health Regen.
3. His Ring of Spears, can zone the Enemy for along time. While they are zoned, Vulcan can set up his Inferno Cannons and hit with all his skill shots.

2nd. We have Cupid.
The reasons why i choose Cupid, was because of his cc, which can makes it harder for the enemy to escape from Vulcans pokeing Cannons.

(More to be listed)

____________________________________________________________________________________________

These are the Enemies that counters Vulcan:

1st. We have Freya.
The reason why i choose Freya, is because of her poke, and her skill set.

1. She can poke Vulcan more than he can poke her, with her ranged basic attacks.
2. She can lift Vulcan up in the air, making it nearly impossible without help to escape her.
3. Freya's Ultimate makes her untargetable to Vulcans spells, with Vulcan pretty much relies on.

2nd. We have Zeus.
The reason why i choose Zeus is because i think that Zeus can delete Vulcans Inferno Cannons much quicker than he can replace them, and therefor Zeus can poke Vulcan while he tries to poke Zeus. Zeus can also outfarm Vulcan in laneing phase.

Guide through your game!

Early Game:

So, what you want to start buying in the fountain is simply: (This is guiding you through the offensive AP that i normaly choose myself)
Start withRod of Tahunti tier 1, and buy the boost for escaping potential.
When the minions have spawned and begun to fight, choose your Inferno Cannon for utility pokeing. When you are around level 4-5 You should be able to poke him so much that you are forcing him to stay defensive.

If he keeps standing with tower and their jungler hasn't been seen, i would then recommend you to stay defensive or buy some wards. Afterwards you should be able to out farm your opponent with your Inferno Cannons that you are trying to max as much as possible.

They way the Inferno Cannons can help you, is simply buy non-stop attacking enemies in the near range of them.

That is a really good way to start your game.

If you have a gold lead against your oppenent, you should recall and buy the active called: "Teleport"When you got that active, and you have a bigger gold lead, then you are able to gank and defend other lanes + you can get back to your lane faster than your opponent.

Mid Game:

You should now be in front of your oppenent with at least ~1000 gold, and that is a big advantage.
Keep following the belt of Offensive AP items, and you should deal a heck load of damage when you are trying to chase or stading as the backline in a teamfight.
Try to place an Inferno Cannon as often as you can, without loosing too much mana.
(Hit!, Inferno Cannons are "OP" if you ask me, so try to focus on them, and make them out farm your enemy)

Late Game:

You are now in the late game, try to get some good synergy going with your team. Begin to roam the enemy jungle and try to start teamfights, (you should be able to win them.)
If you can deicide them in a teamfight, run to the Fire Giant and slay him, if your average level on your team is ~15, make your team take the Fire Giant, while you are beginning to push the lanes.

Tips!

Here are listed a couple of tips that you might want to read if you dont want to go into details:

1. Poke the enemy out of his own lane.
2. Outfarm your oppenent.
3. Roam of you have a gold lead against your enemy
4. Get the blue buff if you have no mana regen.
5. Win teamfights in late game with your turrets and Magma bombs, midways in the teamfight. If they are grouped hit them with you big fat rockets....(100000000 of damages will be dealt)

(more to be listed)

You do realize that this guide hasn't been updated since last year.

Actually in the newest updates since Zeus is so squishy, Vulcan can drain Zeus'es health very easily at least on the Xbox one with the turret getting Vulcan's basic attack along with bombs and his back dash targeting Zeus if it hits it will drain his health even with a full build Zeus he cant destroy the tower very easily without getting hit and losing almost 75%-50% of his health depending on the Vulcan's build. So that's my input I maybe just a rank 2 Vulcan but i'm just maining him for now, but i have plenty experience with mid lane in conquest with Zeus on the other team and every time no matter what build he gets, it hurts bad.

Why on earth would you start with tier 1 Rod of Tahuti as your first item? And why Shoes that late?
meditation is a bad, bad active to have.

What about situational items? What about some active items?

Also, your build has 5 items listed...

The skill order is messed up. You shouldn't max Inferno Cannon. You should max it the last. It can only deal damage to one minion a time, its cooldown doesn't scale, and it isn't as good as the other skills as you will most likely not have enemies stay within your turret's range. You should max Backfire first, then Magma Bomb, and lastly Inferno Cannon. The turret is more of a zoning tool. Earthshaker - point whenever possible.

You don't explain the itmes choices, the skills... How to farm/lane, some tips, mid furies, ganks etc. And assuming you will always have a 1000 gold lead upon your enemy is just wrong by its core.

And there's almost no BBCoding.

Downvote. This guide lacks info, explanation, a decent build, the skill order is flawed.

Here are some guides to help you out. If they've helped you, don't forget to vote.
