Introduction

This is going to be my guide for nemesis, the latest warrior. This guide will show you how to solo nemesis, and jungle nemesis. I feel like Nemeisis is more of a jungler than a solo lane. As she has great ganking abilites, great chase power and a passive that makes enemies weaker.
This will also be my second guide I've done, hopefully this one will have got better then the last one. Lets get started shall we?

Who is Nemesis?

Nemesis is a Physcial Bruiser (Apparently). Nemesis is the goddess of vengance, and my god, her kit will wreck you and kill you. She has a High amount of slows, and deals massive damage. Her abilities make her seem more of a assassin and this is true. So in most cases I will jungle her, but theres nothing saying she can't be in solo lane and do good.

Pros and Cons

Pros
restoration shard

Strong Slows
Divine Judgement Devastates enemy's hp and speed
Retribution Deflects Damage
Swift Vengeance Works as great escape, or chase
Slice and Dice Has 50% Slow

Cons
static shard

Low Sustain
Mana hungry early
Retribution gets cancelled by Hard CC
If built as an assassin, she is squishy.

Skills

This will be the part of the guide where I will present her skills, and explain how to use them, when to use them and when to level them.

Scales of Fate

Nemesis holds the scales of balance. Hitting enemies with basic attacks tips the scales in her favor, stealing 3% of her target's physical and magical power from items for 5s (up to 3 stacks). Stolen magical power is converted to physical power for Nemesis at one half the value.

Explanation

Scales of Fate is Nemesis's passive. This passive will make it so when you're pounding on a enemy it will increase your power, while decreasing theirs. With the slows that you provide you're going to be hitting them a lot, therefore decreasing their power. This passive is brilliant with Hastened Fatalis or Frostbound Hammer both of which are suggestions in either builds.

Swift Vengeance

Nemesis dashes in a line, dealing 50/80/110/140/170 (+25% of your physical power) damage to enemies in her path and may dash again within 2s. Using another ability during this time cancels the second dash.

Explanation

Swift Vengeance. This is one of the funniest parts of Nemesis's kit. This skill allows you to double dash, which is soooo useful. This skill will allow you to chase down enemy's very easily, or escape easily. It is also a good damage dealer, considering you can use it twice. But this skill will be mainly used in escape, and chasing. It can be good for wave clearing and jungling and in some cases doing some damage to the enemy.

Slice and Dice

Nemesis swings her blade, dealing 40/65/90/115/140 (+25% of your physical power) damage in an area in front of her. Enemies in the center of her swing are struck for 2x damage and slowed by 30/35/40/45/50% for 2s.

Explanation

Slice and Dice. This item has a strong 50% slow at max rank, which just makes fighting Nemesis just a pain. This skill makes it so you can easily hurt your enemy with your basic attacks, which is why its a good idea to get itmes that base off your basic attacks.

Retribution

Nemesis activates a temporary shield around herself that protects her from all incoming damage for 1s. She heals for all incoming damage from NPCs and 30/35/40/45/50% of the damage from enemy gods, while reflecting 30/35/40/45/50% of damage back to the source (pre-mitigated). Hard crowd control effects remove the shield.

Explanation

This ability is the thing that will make the enemy so frustrated when versuing you. This is best in solo lane compared to the jungle, this is because you aren't going to be taking lots of damage when you're jungling, unlike solo where you will be constantly poked by The Magic Cudgel or Celestial Beam for instance. Its important to know when to use this, because using this too early could just get you killed. This skill is best against magicial solo laners such as Ra, He Bo, Anubis and Scylla. This is because you can see their ultimates coming at you. With these gods there is a charge up time, meaning you should be able to tell when their ultimate is about to hit you. Like Ra's Searing Pain, you should be able to hear him about to use it, and see him about to use it if you manage to use it in time, for all you know it could end up hitting him back and killing him. This skill is lifesaving, ad should be mainly used only if needed due to its long cooldown.

Divine Judgement

Nemesis chooses a single enemy god, reducing their health by 30/35/40/45/50% of current HP and movement speed by 25% for 5s and stealing 30/35/40/45/50% of their protections for 10s. Her movement speed is also increased during this time.

Explanation

Divine Judgement, this ultimate is so good. This is what makes Nemesis's ganks so great. This ultimate lowers enemy's health by quite a bit, makes you faster and then make them slower, as well as make you more bulky temporaily. This makes it extremely hard for anyone without a dash or jump to escape Nemesis making her ult just brilliant for ganks. Even with a escape its hard to escape with a 25% that lasts for 5 seconds. Great ganking tool, and great chase/escape tool.

Solo Build

Starting Items
To begin with I get the Mystical Mark for when I am versusing a physical solo lane, or the Shield for when I'm versusing a magical laner. Hand of the Gods for clearing your mana buff at the start and minions etc, then potions on top for sustain.

This item is great for versusing physcial solo laners. This is because it offers high amounts of protections, health to make you more tanky and a passive that deals damage around you. This is just a brilliant item for any solo laner.

round Shield The Round Shield's higher ranks are a decent item for most solo laners, this is because it offers sustain with its HP5, Protection against Magical enemys, and some power so you don't start turning totally tank. Now the choice out of shield of regrowth and Runic Shield is a hard one however. But I think there is a basic way to decide. I believe the Runic Shield is the better of the shields, but not always best to get in some situations. If you're versusing a burst mage in solo such as He Bo or Anubis then this is better compared to the Shield Of Regrowth This is because it will shorten their burst damage they do within a small time due to its passive. However if you a versusing not a burst mage, such as Ra or Chang'e then the HP5 bonus will make you a little more matched against their healing.

Item 2
I like to get my Tabi after finishing my protection item. As this will increase my speed, attack and health. The decision of what type of boots is more situational.

Ninja tabi The Ninja tabi is my preferred item of choice. This is because it offers cooldown reduction. With your Retribution taking 18 seconds to use again, this makes it significantly lower. Not only that but it lowers your long Divine Judgement cooldown too.

Warrior tabi This is the item I prefer not to get compared to the Ninja Tabi. This is because this pair of tabi only offers penetration, of which you can get with certain other items ontop. However, if you don't plan on getting other types of penetration such as Jotunn's Wrath or Voidblade then it may be worth investing in this.

Item 3
After finishing off my first lot of protections, I like to get another set of protection to defend from the type of god you didn't defend against before. For instance, if you got the Shield because you had a magical laner, get the Voidblade as it offers you Physical protection.

Bulwark of Hope This item is what you'd get if you got the mystical mark. This item gives a high amount of protection, and a lot of health. This item also has a passive in which some cases can save your life.

Voidblade The focused voidblade recently just got removed, which was a shame as it was a great item. However, the normal voidblade is still available and is still a good item. This item reduces enemy's protections so you can do more damage, protections to make you more bulky, and extra power to make you stronger. I really like this item on bruisers, as it makes you fairly tanky, but still offer damage.

Item 4
This is where you need to start getting some damage to hurt the enemys you are slowing. 2 items perfect to this description are Qin's Sais are Deathbringer. Both these can do high amouns of damage. Its up to you which one you prefer

This item is a really strong damage dealer that gives you power and crits. The main reason I get this is because at the moment you aren't doing massive amounts of damage, however with this item you will be damaging for a lot if you hit a crit. If you're wanting to do deal crits that do high damage I wouldn't pass this up.

Qin's sais This is such a great item. This item is super on assassins, and decent on warriors. This is because it offers a lot of attack speed, and some power. But the main reason you would get this is due to its passive, which adds more damage the lower someone is. On Nemesis this item it can be good. This is because you have 2 Slows, and a double dash. Meaning you're going to be a good chaser, or good at locking people down. If you're chasing someone who is low, Qin's Sais will destroy their hp, and if you're locking someone down this will slowly shred through their hp.

Item 5
This is the point of the game where you may be thinking I need more damage and you're right, you do. At the moment you've got a lot of protections, meaning you can go in, slow a enemy pretty drastically without being massively damaged and let someone pound the heck out of that person. This is good, but we can make it better. We can make it so you're the person who kills after slowing the person to drastic ends and not your jungler, etc. However there is a lot of choice for this.

Frostbound Hammer This item is a good supportive item for Bruisers like Nemesis. This is because it will let you apply your passive a lot more, and for longer. Nemesis however has a lot of slows already, so Nemesis doesn't benefit a lot from this item. However, it will still make it harder for your target to escape and let you land more Basic attacks.

This item is going to increase your attack speed and power. But the main reason I'd get this is for its passive. This lowers the enemys protections that you're hitting for quite a bit, and with Nemesis's passive Scales of Fate this will also makes them have lower protections and lower power. Making them overall less strong.

With the latest update they nerfed Malice quite a bit, they had to nerf Malice due to being able to buy Rage and Malice at the same time. But if you had to get 1 out of the 2 now, I'd get Rage. This is because Rage offers more attack speed, more critcial chance and a decent passive. Malice's passive is only decent if you have rage already, so getting it next may not be a bad idea if you buy this.

Jotunn's Wrath Jotunn's Wrath, this is a brilliant item for a bruiser. Jotunn's offers Penetration (Which you don't have much of), some mana and Power. One of the main reasons someone would get this however, is for its passive. Which offers 25% off cooldowns. Which is great, but not massively needed if you got Ninja Tabi.

Qin's Sais This is such a great item. This item is super on assassins, and decent on warriors this is becauses it offers a lot of attack speed, and some power. But the main reason you would get this is due to its passive, which adds more damage the lower someone is. I don't normally get this on any bruiser but I feel like with Nemesis it can be good. This is because you have 2 Slows, and a double dash. Meaning you're going to be a good chaser, or good at locking people down. If you're chasing someone who is low, Qin's Sais will destroy their hp, and if you're locking someone down this will slowly shred through their hp.

Item 6
Its coming towards the end of the game, this is where you want to get more damage. This means you are going to need items that go with your other items.

Matchups

Ra
DIFFICULTY
MEDIUM

Ra is a popular pick at the moment, he has good wave clear with is Celestial Beam and his Solar Blessing and most likely going to outpush you in lane. This is because he has great minion clear (which you don't) decent harass and decent healing. At the early stage of the game he is gonna be using both his 1 and 3 to clear. This is going to make it hard for you to clear, but not impossible. It'll get better when your Slice and Dice can nearly clear a wave.

Tips and Tricks

Retribution is gonna be important when versuing Ra in lane. You should be able to hear his ult or see it before he casts it, this is where you need to Retribution straight away. Doing so is important, as this may be a life or death situation.

If he is placing his Solar Blessing on your minions feel free to clear his wave as normal. But if he is placing it on HIS minions you don't want to use your abilitys straight away, otherwise they are going to be straight up healed for the damage you just did.

Hel
Hel
DIFFICULTY
HARD
HelStance attunement
Decay / restorationhinder / cleanse
repulse / inspireswitch stances
Hel is such a pain. Her wave clear is good, and her heal is great too. Unlike Ra Hel's heal is going to be stronger because it gets leveled for wave clear, While Ra ranks up Celestial Beam for his wave clear. Its even worse that Retribution isn't going to be massively useful due to her not having a high damaging ultimate.

Tips and Tricks

Use Retribution as a last resort and mainly for junglers, since Hels ultimate does nothing to you. Clearing the wave is going to be hard. Very hard. But this is only if heal is healing her wave. As before, if possible try to use your abilitys after she has healed the wave, but of course this isn't always possible.
