Chiron warns his teammates to evade the area, granting them .5s of Crowd Control Immunity so they can escape before it explodes and does damage to all enemies in the area. Applies Target Mark.

Ability Type: Circle, Buff, Damage
Damage: 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 (+80% of your Physical Power)

2 A
Chiron passively marks his enemies as targets when he damages them with Basic Attacks, Training Exercise, or Centaurus, reducing their Physical Protections by 5%. He may activate this ability to fire seeking arrows at all marked targets within range, damaging and slowing them.

Ability Type: Target, Slow, Damage
Damage: 55 / 90 / 125 / 160 / 195 (+80% of your Physical Power)

4 Y
Chiron is transformed into a constellation, and can fire three long distance shots, even through walls. If Chiron would be killed during this ability, he does not die until he runs out of time or shots. Killing an enemy with this ability when Chiron would have died returns him to life with health equal to the damage dealt instead. Applies target mark.

Ability Type: Line, Damage
Damage Per Shot: 130 / 175 / 220 / 255 / 310 (+60% of your Physical Power)
Range: 130
Cost: 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120
Cooldown: 90s

Ability focused build

Forgo some auto damage by lack of attack speed, for full potential ability burst damage.

Cast Giddyup! just before Masterful Shot or Training Exercise hit, to apply the extra damage boost as you cannot cast whilst charging.

Heartseeker for +80% physical power damage on ability at 5 stacks.

Malice applies 35% extra ability damage for 3 seconds after crit.

The Crusher, damage from passive is small 20+15% over 2 seconds but helps and made up for by the pen to combine with Heartseeker.

Some numbers showing figures before protections; 100/(100+protections)=percent of damage taken. Also haven't shown the extra 50 power from Giddyup!

level 20

Warrior Tabi, Transcendence, The Crusher, Heartseeker, Titan's Bane, Malice

273 Physical Power
355 Basic Attack Damage
25 Flat Physical Penetration (15-40% from Titans)
25% Critical Chance
1.42 Attack Speed

Training Exercise
300+218 (80% power)
518
699 (+181 w/ Malice +35% ability damage)

Masterful Shot
195+193 (70% power)
388
523 (+135 w/ Malice)

Centaurus (per shot)
310+164 (60% power)
474
640 (+166 w/ Malice)

Heartseeker 5 stacks
218 (80% power)

The Crusher
20 + 41 (15%)
61

A Masterful Shot within 3s of critting, with a stacked Heartseeker will do approx 458 damage on a squishy - 75 physical protections. That's a nice 20-25% ranged execution with little work required.

Chiron is an ability based hunter, not an AA one, so crit isn't really good for him, especially when it's just one item. Kriega's build is much better. Swap out Jotunn's Wrath for Brawler's Beat Stick if you need anti-heal.

Thanks, Malice is only used to bring out the potential damage numbers from the 35% boost to ability damage; after scoring a crit for 3 seconds.

Before uploading this build I actually had a second purchase order where Jotunn's Wrath was bought in place of Malice just because it makes more sense to have the 20% cd to spam abilities more, along with the 10 pen, however as stated above, this was just pretty much theory crafting for the highest potential damage from abilities.

I had written out a list of all the damage numbers, but then cleared all that when I realised I'd not taken Giddyup! into account. I will however look at doing the math again and adding this to the guide.

*added the original second build with Jotunn's, just swaps Malice for Jotunn's, more abilties and thus damage over time, just a fraction smaller burst potential.

I really do not like this build order. Go trans , Warrior, Crusher, Heartseeker, Titans and then Malice.

Onto Malice itself, not really a worthwile item on Chiron in most cases with only 25 % crit chance overall in your build.

But a better build: Trans, Warrior, Crusher, Jotunns, Titans, Odysseus' Bow.

Thanks, I definitely agree with the build order as I've never really felt satisfied with a specific order when building these, though I tend to go either Boots, Trans and Heartseeker in any order first.

I wasn't really going for a hybrid build and sorry, I should have probably made more clear this is a niche build that's simply here just for the highest ability damage output possible. Malice has only been picked up for the potential to increase abilities by 35% damage after scoring a crit and it is also used to help combo Masterful Shot - the masterful execution. Unfortunately Obow adds only aspd and damage on basics, but again this is my fault for not making it clear that the build is for priotising abilty damage.

Jotunn's Wrath was definitely something you could use in place of Malice, allows more casting, 10 more pen, only loses +35% abilty damage after crit.
