Introduction

Loki is a high powered, low defense assassin. Loki specializes in quickly taking opposing gods out of the fight. With this guide and build you will be able to exploit Loki's mobility and stealth to bring quick assassinations to all of your lanes.

Something to think about before playing Jungle Loki

At first glance jungling Loki may not seem like such a good idea. However, Loki has the abilities and power to clear jungle camps safely and efficiently. Getting enough experience while in the jungle will not be a problem.

Skills

Behind You!
Loki's Passive Allows Loki to do 20% more damage while behind any enemy. It is always recommend to strike the enemy from behind for max damage output and faster kills.

Vanish
Vanish Allows Loki to go invisible while granting him additional movement speed. While cloaked Loki's next basic attack causes the target to bleed but reveals Loki in the process.

Decoy
Decoy puts a fake version of Loki on the battlefield that taunts enemy minions and towers for a short period of time, the fake Loki eventually explodes doing damage to all enemies within the circle.

Aimed Strike
Aimed Strike grants Loki additional attack power as well as slows enemies hit by your basic attack while ability is up.

Assassinate
Loki's ultimate Assassinate allows Loki to teleport to any ground target's location within a short distance backstabbing the target while doing damage and stunning them.

Items

Loki is most powerful when he has high burst potential and critical hit chance. These items will give the highest burst potential:

Core Items

Warrior Tabi Deathbringer Hydra's Lament

Why These Items?

A great combo that will use Loki's abilities the most effectively will be to activate
Vanish (then move into position) then aimed strike. Now you will have both of these abilities ready to activate on your next basic attack. Next, activate Assassinate. Your target will be stunned and you should easily land a basic attack that will activate the effects of both of your other moves along with the passive from Hydra's Lament. This combo will should level any squishy target.

The other items that you build on Loki are situation. Loki greatly benefits from Physical Power, Crit Strike Chance, Attack Speed, and Life Steal.

Qin's Blades - This item gives beneficial stats along with a good passive that may help in taking down gods with more health. Definitely a good choice

Rage - More crits means more damage and this item greatly helps with critical strikes. Definitely a good choice.

Jotunn's Wrath - Having this item will max you out on Cool Down Reduction along with givving great stats. Great when you want to pull of your combo as much as possible.

Brawler's Beat Stick - This item does not give any damage but it helps if you need Life Steal, more Crit Strike Chance, or need to deal with enemies that heal too much. A pretty good choice.

Soul Eater - Very useful when Life Steal is needed and there are multiple physical damage gods on your team. A solid choice.

Different items work better in different situations, keep an open mind and know that you dont have to build the same items every time.

Jungling

There are two main ways to go about jungling Loki. Early ganks, or hitting level five as fast as possible.

Early Ganks

Loki is a god that is all about surprise, and what is more surprising than getting killed at level 2? The best way to go about killing an opponent as fast as possible is to use hand of the gods(if your team doesn't give you a leash) to get Damage Buff and hit level 2 as fast as possible. once you have these things its time to pull off a gank. In this situation I would recommend skipping Decoy at level 1 and starting with Vanish instead. Then get Aimed Strike at level 2.

Things to Know About Early Ganks

Loki can snowball really hard so the risk is worth the reward

Getting an early advantage can really help out whatever lane you gank early.

Failing to successfully gank may put you behind

Getting to Level 5

Loki has the most reliable and effective burst/assassination power when he has his ultimate, Assassinate. Getting to level five as soon as possible and then ganking can greatly increase your effectiveness in ganks. You may want to consider killing buff camps and letting your lanes take most of the buffs. This way you are both helping yourself reach level five faster and helping your lanes by giving them an advantage without actually ganking. Depending on your teammates, the most effective start is to have your duo lane help you with the Damage buff camp while your mid laner and left laner start the speed buff.
After killing the damage buff, rush over to the Speed buff that will be almost dead and finish it off. This grants a lot of experience in a short amount of time while giving you the option of either Damage or Speed buff and giving the other one to an ally.

Things to Know About Rushing Level 5

Not as much physical pressure, but giving away buffs can add an advantage

Loki's ultimate is very powerful and guarantees a full combo

    More reliable
