Nu Wa condenses moisture into fog at her location which then rolls forward away from her. She and all allies are Stealthed while inside the fog, and have increased movement speed. Attacking breaks the Stealth effect for 1s.

Enemies that run into the fog take damage, and continue to take additional damage again every second they are in the fog.

Nu Wa conjures Clay Soldiers from the Earth. If she marked a target while summoning them, they will pursue target until it dies. If she summoned them with no target, they will attack enemy gods who damage Nu Wa, or closest enemies.

Soldiers live for 10s. First they will dash at enemies within 30 units, applying a stack of protection reductions. Stacks up to 3 times, stacks last 2s. They will basic attack after that.

Intro

Hello
First guide here. I have zero experience with this so please take it for what you will


I'm a fairly new player to Smite but I have had some really great fun with this game and found most gods to be enjoyable. That being said Nu Wa stands out as my absolute favorite Mage and is a blast to play with. I always have fun and my score line is never terrible even in her losses. This is an arena build for fun and surprising people with your crazy burst. Try it and let me know how I've done. I'll try to make this into a full guide as I progress. In the meantime have fun and be great !

Items

Lets talk about the items I choose and why


Shoes of the MagiIt seems to be agreed that a pair of boots is essential on any God with few exceptions. Some may argue that one is better than another but I believe it comes down to how you play. However if you want to have proper build balance one choice may be better than another. I like to build the Shoes of the Magi for the pen and damage boost.

Book of Thoth is one of my favorite items for mages. It gives you tons of mana and power and continues to get more powerful as the game goes on. Gem of Isolation is also a decent choice for your second slot trading quite a bit of power for some really nice utility.

Bancroft's Talon is my choice for the third slot. It gives you a great power boost and a nice life steal boost. Watch as other gods flee in confusion while a squishy Mage goes toe to toe with them. Pythagorem's Piece is a decent alternative and a good option for multi magic damage teams.

Fourth slot I usually build a defensive piece. If your doing well the other team is gonna start getting upset and right about this time in the match you'll notice a lot more focus coming your way. You could opt to build a power item and it may secure you some kills but I would suggest some D. Mantle of Discord is always great giving you all the protections you need and a good escape tool. Spirit Robe is also good with more reliable CC reduction and lower cost in trade for protection.warlock's sash will give you more power and start beefing your health.

For your fourth and fifth slots look at how the enemy is building. If they are wise they will be building some protections to deal with your damage because you'll be laying it on. If not then skip the penetration item and build your final power piece. All the penetration items are effective so pick one. As far as power goes Rod of Tahuti is a beast and will start blowing fools up. Soul Reaver is pretty awesome too and I suggest it against people stacking magic protections because it'll just chunk their life away.

This build sure gives a lot of power to Nu Wa which is essential for her abilities.
I think in Arena, Nu Wa and her clay soldiers would benefit more from health than from protection. The fountain is close by so you can run away to replenish health. Try Warlock Sash as second item instead of Mantle of Discord.

Thanks for the input. This is most certainly a work in progress. Your advice is appreciated and in fact I have tried warlocks sash and it works extremely well. I will add it to the guide soon. I also plan to spruce it up a bit and am learning the coding necessary. Any and all input is welcome.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
