You go Blink on her and you build Pendulum Warlocks Myrddin Shard Reaver Bancroft's Claw

She is very specifically a combat mage that requires some specific gameplay considerations:

• Outside of her ult, you're right, her range is very close (similar in ways to someone like Zhong Kui, Hades, etc.). This means you need to be mindful of enemy ability use. Bait out ranged attacks, watch for when their abilities are used and dive harder when abilities are down.
  
  
• Her 2 is a key component of her kit. It's brief but technically super strong, as it's a Beads/Aegis combination in a regular ability. You use this to counter-play, so your ability to react or predict (and avoid using before you actually need) needs to be strong to get the best utilization from it.
  
  
• Her 3 has anti-heal function, so you can obviously use that to your advantage. If facing an enemy with strong healing reliance, grab a Divine Ruin and almost completely shut down their sustain.
  
  
• The ult is a key to 1v1 engage, burn beads, or disrupt a teamfight.
  
  
• Her 1 has super low cooldown. Combine that with high CDR in your itemization and you can basically spam this as decent sustained damage in a super easy-to-hit ability.

Note that this build was proposed back in July after the mid-season patch for a specific purpose (spamming abilities w/ overcapping CDR due to Sphinx's Baubles). There have been adjustments to that, and the new overcap is only 10% now (total 50%), which means this build isn't optimized. You can still look to overcap w/ Sphinx, but you want to take 10% off your total CDR, so I would say that Soul Gem is probably the best to remove. As an alternative, you can consider Spear of the Magus or Divine Ruin early, or rush Chronos' Pendant and maybe add Soul Reaver to your kit. Other build options to consider would be to replace Rod of Tahuti w/ Staff of Myrddin, Obsidian Shard w/ Charon's Coin, etc.
