Notes

Hello! I've been playing Smite since beta, but I remain a fairly casual player. Recently I found a build that I started having a lot of fun with and thought that I should share. I have played this build primarily in Arena, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work in other modes. I have a really good time playing Chaac in this unusual manner and hopefully you will too!

One thing to keep in mind with this build is that it does take a while to get off the ground. Also, you are going to be pretty squishy, however if you pick your battles wisely you should be able to cut the opponent down to size and get away, using the amazing sustain from your 3 ( Rain Dance). Just remember that you cannot jump into the middle of the enemy team. Play like an assassin and pick from the edges.

The basic strategy is thus: Get near enough to the enemy to hit them with your ult ( Storm Call) which will keep them from using abilities to escape. Follow that with your 2 ( Torrent) to strip their protections. This is when you start auto-attacking. As soon as you get a crit proc throw your 1 ( Thunder Strike) at their feet, gaining the extra damage from ( Malice). Another auto or two and this should be enough to kill any squishies you come across, but tankier gods will take a bit more work. Usually I would retreat at this point, but if you think you can continue pursuing without getting jumped on by the rest of the enemy team then activate your Rain Dance and continue chopping away while they're slowed.

Feel free to leave a comment below and tell me what you think! This is my first build/guide so any tips would be much appreciated.

What the hell is this? Stop promoting your troll builds on this website. http://www.smitetroll.com/ already exists for that purpose.

If you're doing the most damage as Chaac, then your teammates aren't doing their job. I generally go with personal tanky items (e.g. Breastplate of Valor) and two power items: Warrior Tabi and Masamune, and I still out-damage my teammates a lot of times while having the highest or the 2nd highest mitigated. If you want to play a warrior-assassin, either play Ravana or Bellona.

As this was pointed out to me, I'm commenting even though the build was created half a year ago and the creator hasn't been seen since August.

I'll note some things. Triptych makes it clear it's basically troll...he states it's unusual, and recognizes it's squishy, and says you definitely can't jump into the middle of the enemy team. He actually goes in depth to explain HOW to play. This is basically an assassin-type build where you are careful about choosing your engagements. The explanation is actually quite good.

Now I'm not saying the build is optimal or anything. And there would be a couple major changes I would do in even considering attempting something like this.
  • Choose one of Stone Cutting Sword or The Executioner...probably not both.

  • If I dropped SCS, I'd say keeping Wind Demon. But if I went Exe, I'd probably get Deathbringer.

  • Don't like any of those last items. I'd mostly consider Shield of Regrowth to help me get the hell out of there by popping Rain Dance.
Troll this may be, but it's described very well for what it is.

But with it being troll, and with the creator not being around for a while, I'm opting to archive this at this time.

Trip, if/when you come back, and you care enough about this build concept, message me and we'll chat.
