Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
SMITEFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new god, or fine tune your favorite SMITE gods’s build and strategy.

- You really don't need 3 lifesteal items. You might be okay with Cowl + one of the others (probably
Asi), but I probably wouldn't go that direction right now. In S9, just getting Cowl as your LS was functional because hunters were quite strong as a class, and that also worked quite well for Cern because of his optional LS in spring stance. That could still work here if you like Cowl as your starter.
Asi as your main LS. The common starter in 10.1 is
Death's Toll going into
Death's Temper, which is strong because Asi's LS is very solid.
- When you go crit, you really should typically get
Deathbringer as 2nd crit item. This is due to cost more than anything else, but you want to consider these types of things in your build order. If for some reason you have the entire sum of gold you can use to get DB, it isn't the worst thing as the stats are solid, but typically Demon would be recommended first, and depending, probably pen (
Dominance or
The Executioner) after it.
- Your skill order is messed up IMO. I see the notes to point skip level 8/9, but I don't really get why you're building into
Shifter of Seasons before your main poke/wave-clear. Keep in mind, until you get your AS and damage up, your various stances aren't going to be nearly as effective. You really should max Bramble first, then go into Shifter.
- Where's
Aegis Amulet?
If you're open to experimentation, you might consider trying one of the following:Cern wants AS since he doesn't have a steroid in his kit, so I'd lean toward
In any case, when you commit to that much lifesteal, you're opening yourself up to major counters from anti-heal. Sure, you might have higher LS even after getting anti-heal applied, but having 3 items with significantly reduced function starts making your build very inefficient.
Edit: You're right about the anti heal. Definitely gotta change out the gloves for probably Qin's maybe rage if that happens. I probably need to add some to the relic to either do aegis or beads depending on enemies.
I did try removing the gloves in favor of Qin's sais, just moving that at the end. Need a few more games to try the build out. Need a few more games to try that out to see which works better.
