~Introduction~

Hello ya'll ! I'm ThePerfectPrism, bringing to you my 3rd guide in SMITEfire, which is also my 1st guide for a role that isn't support ! New grounds new dangers !

Keep in mind I maybe mastery 10 as Bastet, but skill is the only thing that matters !

Stat Wise : as of the momment of the release of this guide, my KDR with Bastet is 1.78 !

Nevertheless, let's start this guide !

~Pros/Cons~

Pros
[*] Amazing AoE damage
[*] Can solo most gods at level 13
[*] Jump. Nuff said.
[*]
Declaw goes throught towers, making it a great "execution" skill
[*]
Razor Whip does a total of 450+ tick damage( Counting the aditional Physical Power ) damage at max rank.
[*] Little known fact :
Pounce's AND Declaw's scaling is 100%, meaning they are pretty frecking ... "deadly"
[*]
Cat Call does a total of 750 damage at level 5, if the enemy is hit by the 3 cats, for 10 seconds, meaning that Cat call is the most damaging ult early-game.

Cons
[*] CC. Destroys.
Bastet.
[*] Not enough versatility until level 4
[*] Squishy
[*] Almost as mana hungry as
Hun Batz early game.
[*]
Pounce is easily countered, if the enemies wait for you from your first point.

~Skills~

open wound declaw cat call
Skills

~Items~

Let's do this !

On this, I shall explain why the Core items are core, and then I shall explain when and why the Last Item Options exists.

Core

Why ?

Because Warior Tabi gives you 20 more power than Ninja Tabi, and you aren't a AA based goddess, so yeah.

Why ?

Jotunn's Wrath is a amazing item. CDR, Power and Mana ? Yes please !

Why ?
Trancendence is the Go-to item for mana hungry characters. Probably the second most mana hungry assassin in the game, Bastet, needs this A LOT.

Last Item Options

Why ?
Shifter's Shield gives you exactly what you need, depending on your health. You're engaging someone ? Prob. you have around 90% health, so it'll give you bonus power !

Retreating ? Prob. less than 40%, Bonus protections !

Why ?
Titan's Bane gives you penetration, physical power, and it has a cute icon ! So yeah. Titan's bane rocks !
Magi's Blessing
Why ?
Magi's Blessing is a amazing gift to any character. Makes you CC Immune, however, it'll be debuffed in the next patch. Still a good item.

Why ?
Winged Blade is probably THE MOST BROKEN ITEM ON Bastet ! Do you know how much mobility she already has ? This will make you immune to slows for a certain amount of time, and will give you plus movement speed. You'll never die !

Why ?
Since it now gives a healing reduction by using abilities, this item is great for it's Pen, Power and the passive ! You should use this item againts every enemy, since it reduces the HP5 healing has well !!!

~Actives~

Possible actives

Sprint
Why ?

Some ppl think I'm nuts when I put this active on Bastet. It gives you movement speed and slow immunity, which can decide if you die or if you live in a team fight
Purification
Why ?

Pretty much self explained I believe. CC Immunity is a key to survive in Smite.
Sanctuary
Why ?

You're squishy. You'll need this active if they have a lot of burst ultimates that are being focused on you ( Release The Kraken!, Hovering Death, etc.)
wrath
Why ?

It's finally good again and it'll secure a lot of objectives and camps

~Who Bastet Counters and Who is She Countered by~

Since this guide is for Bastet, in the jungle role, I shall put people who Bastet counters and is countered by.

Who Bastet counters

Bastet counters the following gods. I will not list the reasons why, however, for the "Gods she is countered by" section, I'll give a explanation.

Serqet, Ratatoskr, Loki, Ao Kuang, Freya, Kali, Odin, Osiris, Tyr, Ymir.
Bastet is countered by the following gods:

Thanatos - This guy will just make it impossible for you to engage him. Melt your health, apply a silence and then ult you ? Not fair.
Nemesis - The Queen of Slows for the Jungle role, Nemesis is a pesky enemy. She'll save her dash to retreat from your cats, making it almost impossible to kill her.
Bellona - Since your Cat Call is considered a basic attack, she can use her Scourge on the cats. Also, she'll burst you down and laught at your face with her ult, to avoid yours.
Arachne - This is probably the most annoying jungler to deal with. A ult that makes her immune, pets that apply slow like yours, but in a shorter cooldown, and 2 basic attack abilities with tons of attack speed. Be very weary of the Spider Queen.
Awilix - Does of damage, insane attack speed, Suku and Feather Step. This gurl is annoying.
Bakasura - Just he's ult and he's true damage makes him impossible to beat, if he's ahead. This is another annoying jungler to deal with.
Thor - He is probably THE COUNTER to every single jungler out there. He's ult with he's " Spin 2 Win " will kill you.

~Conclusion~

Bastet is probably one of the best junglers out there. Her kit makes her the most annoying Cat in this battlefield. Be very careful when facing a Bastet... She likes to show her cats who they can ... meat.
Thx for reading my guide ! You're cute !

TBH momment : This guide could've been a lot better, but I'm never in the mood to make it better, so it'll stay this way, cuz the build works perfectly

I use the AoE effect a lot to get some cheesy kills. It was my bad, I guess when I wrote that I was like : Ppl will understand it's not only a AoE slow but damage as well.

Dude! Awesome freaking guide!! I normally suck *** with physical gods and can't hold my own in a 1v1 but this guide helped change my play style sooo much. I usually only do mages and didn't want to leave my comfort zone. But I love cats lol. I went 14-2 and got several double kills. I followed your guide to a T. Very well written and I really impressed myself with how well I did with her the first time that I'm going to buy her now! I will definitely check out your other guides. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

UPDATE: had 2 flawless matches this morning!! 15-0 and 12-0!! Again THANKS!!

Cats do not apply on-hit effects, nor do any other pets. Their damage only scales with your physical power and physical penetration.

DeanOMiite (1) | December 8, 2015 5:53pm
Honest question...cats count as a basic attack? So like...they could apply on-hit effects from The Executioner? Or Frostbound Hammer? Or anything with lifesteal? This intrigues me and would change how I play Bastet, or at least give me some clarity on what I do right with her.

Not Hun Batz... The "has" on the same line as the Hun Batz, sorry for the misunderstanding.

(I can read your mind and "No problem". Jk I just edited my message so I wouldn't keep making comments)

Really good!
On cons in one of the sentences (Hun Bats),
It is spelled oddly...

Nope, it's actually how you write the name, Hun Batz. The BBcoding ( blue line and the little face behind the words ) only work if you correctly put the name in. :)
