Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
SMITEFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new god, or fine tune your favorite SMITE gods’s build and strategy.

- Sac Shroud is potentially fine for higher lifesteal, but in Arena, having your abilities up more often is also helpful. You can consider Sands and either upgrade, or you can look at Conduit -> Focus.
Typhon's Fang is an awful first item. You shouldn't need the % pen that early. It also functions greater off of more lifesteal, so is often the 2nd lifesteal item picked up (not usually including Shroud in its starter form). I would strongly recommend picking it up at least mid-build, if not later. But look, you have another lifesteal item in your build. Bancroft's, that you can slot in before Typhon's! But wait...why the heck is it not Nimble?!?
Charon's Coin and
Doom Orb are great overall items, but are typically much better for ability-based gods.
- Which leads to the main question of the entire build. Do you not realize what Freya's kit does? Yes, she's a mage. No, she's not a nuker. She's a basic attacker. Why then do you only have 1 attack speed item (Cyclopean)? In all honesty, Freya should be one of the easiest gods to build. You're looking to get high AS (the rest of the ring tree), she wants some good pen, lifesteal can help, and mobility is also helpful. Her core items include things like
Demonic Grip,
Hastened Fatalis, etc.
Here's the entire list of the items you should be considering:- Starter Options:
- Ring Tree:
-
- Lifesteal Items: (Telkhines as previously mentioned in the ring tree), (Vampiric / Sac Shroud as previously mentioned),
- Optional/Situational:
You shouldn't need to consider any other items for the most part. You don't need to worry about anti-heal like
I'm all for people learning how to build, and if you're using these builds you've created to get feedback and learn, that's fine, but at this point with the builds being proposed, I strongly recommend taking a look at other builds here to get an idea of proper builds, use them in game (especially against anything you've played with) and see how it feels in comparison.
