With the reintroduction of Bluestone, I believe Achilles can put this item to great use with his damaging abilities in the early game. The pressure you can have from this starter item in combination with his passive set to the agility/power stance, you will be stomping most matchups. Health chalice/potions for extra sustain as well, cause you're gonna need it with how much you'll be boxing in Season 8. Blink relic for quick engages or beads for extra safety. DO NOT pick up Teleport glyph. Try to stray away from that beta ****.
Upon your first back(assuming you didn't get sent back early...)hopefully you are able to purchase your full warrior tabi and possibly even a ward or another healing pot. I prefer to go for the extra sustain, but sometimes you get ganked so you have to buy yourself a ward or two. No worries either way, just finish those boots and move on.
Now, this is where things can go either way. If you're laning against a physical, go for tier two Breastplate of Valor(or the full item if purchasable). If laning against a non-healing magical, or one whose healing isn't an issue, buy tier two Runic Shield(or full item if you can). If you're struggling against their healing, maybe your opponent is Anubis, purchase tier two Pestilence(or full item if you can). One thing that makes you threatening in lane is your ultimate. Once someone enters that threshold, if they don't have a bursty heal or they can't instaheal off wave they're royally screwed assuming you land the hit. So antiheal will **** down some of Anubis's survivability against you.
At this point in the game, you should be making small rotations to mid or even to Gold Fury, depending on your team's pressure as well as yours. If you're winning lane, definitely make some rotations and try find picks where you can to snowball your lead even more. If the mid laner on the opposing team is fragging, stick with Runic Shield, but if he's feeding you could get away with a Glad Shield or even an early Void Shield. Don't feel pressured to make rotations, but get comfortable trying to make your presence known throughout the map as well. Stealing back camps is good enough. Also, once you begin rotating, buy wards.
At this point in time, you should be swapping stances to the health/prots stance of your passive. It's no longer the laning phase so you need to be lasting longer in fights. The damage from your items and your scaling alone will be enough to take on the enemy ADC/Mid. Not to even mention your ultimate being so threatening to anyone that is out of position. Blink will help you engage the back line or chase down fleeing opponents. Beads can help you escape scary situations. Me personally, I feel there are no better relics for Achilles. Thorns is nearly useless on him because of your base damage on top of your scaling plus your ultimate. Most people will be running from you by now. I find more use out of the Blink/Beads combo. This is the case with most warriors. Glad shield will increase your damage quite a bit as well making you a menace even to the frontline tanks.
If you haven't noticed a trend with the items by now, I'm focusing mostly on CDR mixed with a little hybrid(prots/power). The more often you have your abilities up, the scarier and more useful you are. Your second ability grants you protections as well. Also giving you 20% crowd control reduction. This is ridiculous in teamfights. After you ult, it will leave you weaker than before. Your ultimate is very strong but at a cost; you take 10% increased damage. With the shield Pridwin grants you, you become a little more safe, though still vulnerable. Never forget to use your second ability whenever you have it up. Remember, it's not just a heal.
You should be level twenty by now, right? If you are, buy Bluestone Brooch for the extra damage increase, which is 7.5% of their current health per ability btw. Not their MAX health but their Current health...think about that... If you so choose to sell your Bluestone for some else, go check out the Other Items list towards the bottom of the Build Guide.
There are plenty of things to sell boots for. If you're taking too much damage you might want a Spirit Robe or a Mantle of Discord. If you're pub stomping, buy Void Shield or even Heartseeker. Maybe something in between like The Sledge, giving you 40 phys power while upping your health/mana and 20% ccr. In the end it's situational.
This is a very well-rounded build with decent protections and nice damage stats as well. After all this is a bruiser style build. Your main focus is to exterminate the back line but apply pressure to the frontline too. That execute icon above the support's head just made him consider pressing F6. It is one of the most fear-instilling interactions in the game. Knowing that with one press of the button, you could end someone's whole career without them an auto away from death. It's madness, I say! Madness! Just remember you are not invincible, though it may feel like it lol.
Wow, a large pool of items to choose from... In the end, there isn't necessarily a "right way" to build a god. Just check out my Bellona Alternative Solo Build Guide. Because most people build a god a way doesn't mean it's the only way. I believe core stats for some gods are a must, like Achilles needs cdr and possibly some damaging items to his scaling even more effective.
Heartseeker is a greedy damage item, but it can be worth if you chose a more tankier route because you won't be so squishy that the Heartseeker is threatening to you now.
Void Shield gives extra pen, damage and protections. Great way to round out a build.
Arondight is one of my personal favs. The passive makes it so easy to run someone down for a second execute. A truly amazing interaction.
Pestilence is a must against high-healing team comps. A definite no brainer. Can be swapped for Runic Shield.
Mantle of Discord is always a great choice for as an alternative item. The passive is really nice and safe, as well as giving you cdr and ccr.
The Sledge is really good for the stats alone. But adding the passive makes it a must have for tanky builds. This is a bruiser style build but if you would rather have it I see no issue there.
Stone of Gaia is still good in my eyes, though not as strong. For a bruiser build i wouldn't even consider this, but if you're behind i believe this item can help.
Spirit Robe is soooo underrated. 20% Cdr, 20% Ccr, 40 both prots and a passive that gives you 15% damage mit. after a hard cc effect every 15 seconds is just ridiculous. Most fights last long enough to proc this effect at least twice, if not more.
Hide of the Urchin is another good tank item. The passive is a little underwhelming, but the stats aren't bad. Definitely lower on my list.
Hide of the Nemean on the other hand is great against high-auto attack comps. Especially if you're getting bursted really fast by their ADC/Jung.
Most Achilles players max their first ability, within good reason. It has nice damage and its a stun. As you level it though, the stun duration does not go up, and the damage isn't very crazy unless you're constantly hitting the stun. Because your damage is increased in the that stun damage area. I prefer to max my dash because I know I can consistently hit the spear after each dash. The damage combined from both projectiles if higher than that of the shield but it's not as reliable. I suggest practicing this though and poking down your opponents with the three being prioritized. With all that being said, there is nothing wrong with maxing your first ability. It's safer for clear and you don't have to use your dash and risk missing the first strike.
Once you hit level 9, skip your ult and max your three, or one depending on which ever you're maxing. The damage on your ult isn't what you should be prioritizing, because the threshold doesn't change. You should be leveling your most damaging ability to then make it faster to get someone into that execute threshold. Prioritize everything over the ult. The execute is what's important, not the damage.

Bluestone and Glad shield will do a nice amount of physical damage throughout the game and Void will shred the enemy protections, amplifying the damage output overall.
Brawler's has been a staple item in solo for a long time and
