A Mighty Storms of Numbers!

Hello there you are about to delve on a fascinating ( at least for me ) journey into the fruits of my labor, the reasoning and numbers behind the item build and the tactics you should consider when playing the dargon of the eastern seas.

Passive: Graceful winds- 5% of Ao kuangs maximum mana is converted to magical power
-this is why you should be wary on what you buy because you could potentially miss
out on bonus damage

#1 Ability: SquallSquall- Ao Kuang fires a projectile breath attack that hits the first enemy in its path, doing damage and slowing all enemies in the area around the impact.
60/105/150/195/240(+60% of your magical power)

#2 Ability: SlitherSlither-Ao Kuang channels the wind, allowing him to move faster. Additionally, Ao Kuang is immune to slows for 1s when activated.
Speed: 20/25/30/35/40%
-This is Ao kuangs only escape mechanic and should be used to do just that

#3 Ability: TornadoesTornadoes-Ao Kuang summons a tornado at his ground target location. A smaller tornado branches off onto any enemies that come within the radius, doing damage every .5s for 3s and is refreshed if enemies stay within the radius.Damage per Tick: 10/20/30/40/50 (+15% of your magical power)- this is Ao kuangs Bread and butter and can be used for cutting of enemies general lane clearing or aggressively placed for high damage outputs

Ultimate Ability: Spirit's TempestSpirit's Tempest-Ao Kuang summons the spirit of one of his fallen allies to breathe down destruction onto his enemies in a path in front of him, doing damage and knocking all of the enemies to the side.400/500/600/700/800 (120% of your magical power)
- This is not the most stealthy of ulitimates and can be recognized and avoided easily so try to it use when your enemies are unable to hear see or avoid it.

BOOK of THOTH -This gives you your base mana pool and damage but also "forces you" to farm to build it's stacks

SHOES OF FOCUS - this gives your well needed movement speed and some CDR

SPEAR OF THE MAGUS - this provides penetration and is very useful with Ao kuangs tornadoes

GEM OF ISOLATION - this provides the kill securing aspect you need to well .... SECURE THOSE KILLS

BREASTPLATE OF VALOUR size=15]-this provides physical protection and CDR/

FOCUSED VOID STONE -this provides Magical protection and penetration

WINGED WANDWinged Wand-this gives movement speed and absorbs slows and shouls only be purchased if your being pinned down

ROD OF TAHUTI -gives a HUGE amount of magical power

BASE magical power: 30+0=30 BASE mana: 265+45=310
(note:all stats are based on the tier three items)

BOOK OF THOTH : -100 Magical power
-125 Mana + (10x50=500) =625
Passive:3%of maximum mana converted to magical power

SHOES OF FOCUS : -50 Magical power
-250 Mana

SPEAR OF THE MAGUS : -40 Magical power

GEM OF ISOLATION : -70 Magical power
-250 Mana

TOTAL MANA: 310+625+250+2501435
TOTAL MAGICAL POWER: 30+100+50+40+70
+8%= 114.8
= 404.8
SITUATIONAL:

BREASTPLATE OF VALOUR : 550 MANA
TOTAL MANA: 550 TOTAL MAGIC POWER: 8% of 550=44

FOCUSED VOIDSTONE : TOTAL MAGICAL POWER: 50

WINGED WANDWinged Wand:

8% of 150 =12

FINAL ITEM:
ROD OF TAHUTI : TOTAL MAGIC POWER:125
Passive: 25% increase to magical power

Total Total: 404.8+ 44/28/12 + 125 +25% = 717.25/719.25/677.25

TOTAL MOVEMENT SPEED: 402.5/402.5/437.5
TOTAL COOLDOWN REDUCTION:40/15/15

Although Ao kuang can do massive amounts of damge,especially if you land his ultimate Spirits's TempestSpirit's Tempest this doesn't mean you should be gallivanting around like you own the place. Ao kuang is VERY SQUISHY and with no natural escape except for his SlitherSlither you should be careful with your positioning where you place your tornadoes and your overall awareness.To help elaborate i have posted a links to some videos by members of the smite community you may or may not know one being Drybear (of course)and who can help you wash down the dry glory but Squiiddish. now please take the combined advice to heart ( except the over aggression by drybear ) because you maybe able to learn! when doing the math in this guide i used the official smite website to find all the stats
- when looking at that smite overview of ao kuang i noticed the base stats had bracketed number beside them i'm not sure if they mean the total increase at lvl 20 or the increase per level so that is why there may be discrepency between the math and the total stats at the end of the Drybear video above.
