Breastplate of Valor to 
Breastplate of Determination after you buy 
Bulwark of Hope.
Relic Dagger for Shield of Regrowth on gods like 
Hercules and 
Chaac if/when Relic Dagger gets nerfed.
Hide of the Nemean Lion with 
Spectral Armor if the enemy adc build crit.
Warding Sigil to 
Infused Sigil as soon as possible. Do not delay it for your sixth item.
The Sledge,

Pridwen are all good aggressive options for this slot. 
Spirit Robe, 
Mantle of Discord, 
Amulet of the Stronghold, and Caduceus Shield are defensive items you can buy here and not go wrong with.

Runeforged Hammer with The Sledge on gods who can’t abuse its passive like 
Achilles. Note that Runeforged Hammer’s passive also works on allied god’s crowd control so it might be useful on some gods who wouldn’t normally buy it if you have a god with a lot of crowd control on your team.
Void Shield for Spectral Armor but that takes a way a lot of your damage, it’s especially noticeable on Infused Sigil procs. Breastplate of Valor into Breastplate of Determination after you finish Runic Shield.
This is a hyper-aggressive build for gods like Sun Wukong and Chaac or if you just want to run it down.
