Evil will stand no chance!

...when we are exposing evil playing Zhong Kui in our episode #89 of the official SMITE A-Z gameplay series. It is the last episode of the "official" series - only Artio and Hachiman are left to cover and of course we will. But then,...what then? comment your suggestions what you would like to see, which topic you want to have covered in a video, which challenge you would enjoy, etc. I am curious to hear YOUR thoughts on it.

Hey Ben, Spear of the Magus is great on Zhong Kui because of his tic damage. I'd would have gotten that third after your boots; not that you really needed it, but it might have helped take that Ao Kuang down easier.

Thanks Gulfwulf! You are totally right about thespear. It is indeed good for any god with a DoT I believe. Well that Ao Kuang was a real threat in the end.

Yes he was. I'd also consider a Void Stone depending on how your Athena built. Even though Kui is a mage, he still benefits from building somewhat tanky. Of course there's always Mantle of Discord as well to prevent him from ulting you every 90 seconds or so; though if he's smart, he'll get you past that threshold via ranged before he closes in for the kill.

Also, every tick of Recall Demons procs ability item effects. Spear of the Magus and Gem of Isolation are great (maybe even core) on Zhong Kui, and Telkhines Ring and Shaman's Ring should as well, though I haven't gotten to test them.

Yea, that's why the slow from GEM is sooooo annoying on Zhong Kui and you feel like you are getting glued to the ground when trying to run away from him - PLUS the slow from Expose Evil
