His 1 and 2 require him to fire basics. HIs 3 even enhances those. His ultimate is his only source of damage that doesnt require him to fire a basic attack. Look how easily disarms shut him down

His 1, 2 and ultimate deal ability damage. So no, he isn't an AA-Based god.

His 3 procs items like gem and soul reaver when AA-ing trough it tho.

Actually, this is a pretty good question, and is a bit deeper than face value.

To point, Tlaloc is right... and are both applied with the use of basics. If his basics are shut down via Disarm, he's not doing anything.

That said, having abilities applied by basics can mean different things. For , it means she wants basic attack speed...each individual hit of and apply additional damage while they're active.

For , they're extremely limited applications, so he does NOT want to build like a basic attacker...he wants to build like a normal nuking mage.
