How to mute the mic on earbuds/phones

This thread is a how-to on muting the mic that comes with Apple and Samsung phones. This is specifically to mute the mic when connected to a PS4 controller. Unsure if this works for Xbox. Do this if you would like to keep your voice confidential.

1. On your right earphone should be a small panel that controls the volume output to your earphones. Hold it down the centre between the + and - button for 5 seconds

2. After 5 seconds, continue to keep the button down, then plug the jack into the controller

3. Still keeping the panel down, after plugging the jack in wait for another 5 seconds and you're done

If you're unsure, create a party. Next to your name should be a mic with a red exclamation mark.

Also, unless you're Kriegaing due to bad teammates, why would you need to hide your voice? XD
