Long story short I just came back from an extended break (10 or so months) and would like to know what Gods are the most viable with the current game build.

If at all possible give a few Gods per role.

Top Tier - Serqet, Mercury, Loki
Viable - Hun Batz, Thor, Bakasura
Situationally Viable - Kali, Nemesis, Bastet
Usually Not Viable - Fenrir, Ne Zha, Thanatos, Arachne

Warriors:
Top Tier - None
Viable- Hercules, Chaac, Osiris, Odin
Situationally Viable - Everyone else

Guardians:
Top Tier - Geb, Athena, Sylvanus
Viable - Sobek, Bachus, ***bakharna, Ymir
Usually not viable - Cabrakan, Ares, Hades

Hunters:
Top Tier - Rama, Apollo
Viable - Ullr, Anhur
Situationally Viable - Artemis, Xbalanque, Neith
Usually not viable - AMC, Cupid

Mages:
Top Tier - Janus, Nu Wa, Freya
Viable - Agni, Ra, Scylla, He Bo, Aphrodite, Vulcan, Posiedon, Zhong Kui
Situationally Viable - Isis, ChangE, maybe Chronos
Usually not viable - Nox, Hel, Zeus, Anubis, Kukulkan

Why is ymir rated so low?

because compare him with sylvanus or geb and you will see that his cc isn't much compared to them. and athena has global presence
