Key bindings etc.

I want to do something with my key bindings, so I'm kind of curious about what you guys use as your key bindings. I'm also interested in seeing how you got your hud as well (with map and stuff).


My key binfings a pretty wierd.

Movement:
W A S D
Abilities:
1 Q E F
Relics:
MOUSE BTN 4 etc C/SPACE
Consumables:
2 3
Auto walk:
Ctrl
Jump:
Space/shift

Marki, I think we might have talked about it before, but I can't find the thread.

In any case, I'm here to convince you (and any others who will listen) to get THIS.

Choose your keybinds however you want, but the key feature here is that thumb pad. Using a regular keyboard, you dedicate 3 of your fingers to moving in various directions, often using two of them at once. With the thumb pad, you only ever use your thumb, freeing up your other fingers to using abilities, leveling up abilities, using relics, etc.



It absolutely takes some getting used to, but I will never go back. I also really appreciate this setup for FPS games, and a variety of others.

Shortcomings? Not a full keyboard, so true VGS is a bit difficult. I offset that mostly by also assigning keyboard functions on my Naga Epic Chroma (12 thumb buttons). There are other manufacturers (e.g. Logitech, Corsair, and others) that have a similar format, if you don't want to use Razer.

When I first started playing, I decided to rebind my abilities to QWER because I was used to playing League. Then I realised that I needed W for moving and felt like an idiot. Have been using basic controls ever since (or at least I don't remember changing anything else).

I might have to hit up a store and check one out. But I think fhe first priority is going to be to get a new desk and a second monitor.
Maybe I should try and use some more of my mouse buttons :p

I've been used to use like |->5 and like qerfgvcxz when playing wow and games like PoE/diablo etc.

And my favorite key binds has always been Q E and F so to be able to still use w to move.
Really do not like using 2 and 3 when trying to walk at the same time.

Might switch 1 with c or something lol because I have to move my hand to press 1 :p

I am using c as my active atm, (mainly because I dont like blink on my mouse). But it is super annoying when I'm drunk and try to use vgs and manage to use beads or something xD
Like this for example.

My 1-4 are on Tab, Q, E, and Spacebar, respectively. I keep my relics on mouse scroll.

I promise I've never accidentally used beads.
