Okay, so...I think you like the concept of damage more than tank. You can have a lot of fun with bruiser builds for Ymir, Artio, Bacchus, Cabrakan, Cerberus, Ganesha, Geb, Jormungandr, Kumbhakarna, Kuzenbo, Sobek, Sylvanus (trolly), Terra, and Xing Tian on the guardian side. On the warrior side, pretty much any of them.

As for going more tanky (or not glass cannon) on squish gods, you just saw a pretty effective Arachne, but common ones would be Camazotz, Fenrir, Ne Zha, Nemesis, Ratatoskr, Ravana, Serqet, Thanatos, and Thor for assassins...mages include Aphrodite, Baron Samedi, Hades, Hel, Nox, and Zhong Kui.

I'm all for having fun in Arena with weird builds. These things can work really well sometimes.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
