Awilix Info

So today they revealed Awilix. She's an assassin. I didn't see the stream, but they've already got the "Dev Insight" up for her, so here's all the stuff:

For those too lazy or are having problems viewing the Dev Insight, here are the descriptions to her skills:

Passive - First Strike:

• Awilix's first damaging hit from out of combat deals additional damage and heals a small percentage of her missing health over the next few seconds. Additionally, all of Awilix's basic attacks have an extended melee range, but a reduced targeting cone.

1 - Summon Suku:

• Awilix mounts her panther Suku, gaining movement speed but decreasing strafe speed. Awilix may leap off of Suku to deal damage to all gods in the target area. Canceling this ability before leaping will not trigger it's cooldown.

2 - Feather Step:

• Awilix flips over the head of the last enemy she hits, dealing damage as she passes over them. The damage dealt is modified based on the next attack in Awilix's basic attack progression. If the next attack is her third attack, then she also hits all targets in the area around her.

3 - Moonlight Charge:

• Awilix sends her panther forward, damaging all enemies in front of her. If hit from behind, enemies are also knocked up into the air.
  

Ultimate - Gravity Surge:

• Awilix calls upon the power of the moon, immediately pulling down to her the closet enemy in front of her that is either Leaping or Knocked Up into the air, dealing damage to them when they land. Awilix is then bathed in moonlight, gaining bonus attack speed and physical power.

The only thing I'm personally going to say about her right now is that her ult will be an interesting one. Those like Neith, Anhur, etc are going to be in trouble if they try to jump away and she has her ult up.

I like the unique idea behind an anti-escape, and a mount. Should be interesting to see how it goes.

Not much burst here for an assassin. She'll be a heavy item dependent.

She can't wear clothes.... Lameeeee.

Infinite movement speed with that jaguar doe.

I would like to see how useful that ult is. Most leaps are pretty fast and more gods have dashes. Seems very niche to me and not even that good of a niche. Although I feel that Geb will be used even more with this pornstar on the prowl. :P

Not sure how I feel about the knockup as most people will just turn around anyways.... I doubt it'll be very useful.

I don't ask for much. I just want to see HiRez release a goddess that doesn't look like a stripper.

At least she has some originality. The anti-leap thing is genuinely 100% unique. I mean, there's Yasuo's combo with knockups and such, but the leap vs dash is exclusive to Smite, and is pretty interesting.

But seriously, clothes are a ****ing thing.

Her infinite movement speed seems like if your caught with no mana for jumps/dashes and on low health your better of fighting her.

I'm betting she'll be like the old Kali with almost nothing to wear.

She looks interesting at least. I am interested in how her ulti and basic attacks will work. I agree with Sub on this one. I mean some goddesses are sl*ts in mythology, but even if they are not, they are in Smite. We need more goddesses like Chang'e :D

The Mayan pantheon in Smite isn't very well known for having much of a wardrobe. Hell, most video games/movies don't portray people within this culture, and other somewhat comparable ones, with much of a wardrobe either, so I don't have much of a problem with this one.

Some of the others, on the other hand, I can agree with, especially Nox. I like Nox's design quite a bit, but they could have shown less cleavage. And that taunt animation of her's...

However, I've stated my stance on the sexualization of this game plenty times, and I'm not going any further with it beyond what I've stated here in this thread.

Either way, the look of Awilix doesn't bother me because most of the males in the Mayan pantheon have quite a lack of clothing as well in Smite.

I can't wait to see how she'll be in an actual match.
