My expectations for season 4.

So, Season 4 was announced recently.

I hope to god they change the duel map as well as the conquest map again. Really, the early season 3 map was pretty great, but it could have used a few graphical enhancements. I hope we get to see an aesthetics change from season 3 to 4. The introduction of more invisibility heroes as well as The Morrigan brings a huge strategy element into the game now. The ability to go invisible with mechanics like the smoke of illusion in DOTA 2 will probably be coming to smite. This will bring a massive element of strategy into the game.

Back on The Morrigan, I see what you did there Hi-Rez... You just wanted a copy of Rubik from DOTA didn't you, Well I think you did a good job bringing that type of mechanic to smite, ya done good dog, ya done good.

I would like to see item changes to both the solo lane as well as ADC to make it more incentivized for ADCs to get kills. You could change Soul Eater's mechanic to only work on gods and get a buff to god damage f…

Bran's PS4 Adventures (Part I dunno?)

So, things have been going well so far in my PS4 adventures. I use the term "well" loosely, because other than playing some gods I don't normally play, I don't think I'm honing my skills much.

Stepping a bit outside my normal comfort zone of only queuing Conq with friends, I played 3 conquest games in a row last night (after getting off of PC Smite cuz Zilby had to sleep). Played the first as in Mid. I did fine, played pretty intelligently (looking to win lane, rotate when opportunity knocks, etc.), but our team was hard-carried by (countered by our , who I don't think really did ANYthing). Geesh. That said, the game really shouldn't have gone on that long...but every time we'd wipe the team, I'd try heading over to the Fire Giant but damn if that PS4 VGS system is not familiar to me...people seriously ignore the GF and FG, and no one ever even attempted it. So it took us an absurdly long time to finish, and at one point got somewhat close to losing. Just couldn't …

So, I'm now level 8 in SMITE on PS4. I couldn't handle the limited selection of gods, so I ended up buying the god pack, since it was on sale.

That said, I knew there were differences, obviously, due to the general user base, the control scheme, etc. However, I'm feeling the differences more and more, and gaining respect for those that have better honed their skills on console.

Not only do I feel handicapped when using a controller (key, but there are also some gods that are just better choices than others, due to the requirement for analog stick precision. Some of my favorites, like , ,and , are mostly able to play the same way, abilities that have more aimed effects via distance (using the Y axis) have been hard for me to adjust to...

Low Level PS4

Welp, this is what happens at early levels of PS4 play so far...maybe it's the same at low levels on PC? I don't know, it's been so long.

First VS Arena - Ymir

In that 2nd match, our just kept diving into the other team and dying (quickly). He gave up after his 7th death and left the game, but that probably helped. In the last push, I double-sniped the and with my ult.

Wish I had more gods...I've unlocked and so far because their favor cost is low.

Coming from PC, controls just feel extremely clunky...I'm used to quickly purchasing, having VGS at my fingertips, etc. Other than gameplay, I feel like a noob again...I keep forgetting to level up my skills, using relics and potions are just not instinctual, etc. I don't think I've glanced more than once at the minimap, just cuz I feel so lost with the controls...
