Xing Tian.

Xing Tian is just another example that you cannot make a God fit the meta, but rather need to make a meta fit the god.Xing Tian is everything you don't want about a guardian, but everythig you NEED in a solo lane warrior. His passive gives him very nice sustain buffs the more his abilities are used, this will allow him to stay in lane longer than low sustain gods in the early game and about as long as high sustain gods in themid game. And since his sutain is reolving around, mana usage and his cooldowns. It is only natural to build Full CDR and Intense mana very early on for this god. Which is where the Boots and Breastplate come in. He is a tank, there is no denying that, but he shouldn't be built like a Sobek or anything. He needs to be built to take advantage of the high amount of Scaling his abilities have, while also keeping in mind the the kit involves you being up close and person with the enemy, meaning you gotta build tanky, with a ton of power at the same time. This is where Void Stone come in, this allow for high damage, and still sustain the high defenses Xing Tian needs. Warlocks gives Xing more mana to work with during that slow point in the early game when your second mana buff is down, but you are still in lane. Allowing for more sustain and power. Ethernal Staff is the last item, allowing him to gain even MORE power just from being tanky, as well as adding health that he could have lost from not getting heartward or another high health item. This creates a very tanky, very sustainable, very hurting god who is able to adapt to what the game throws at him from his buff being down, to getting behind in lane. And since i am no expert on Xing Tian and this is just a "preliminary guide" to try and set him up as the god he is, I cannot give you any more usage of his abilities than you can read, with the exception that they hurt, REALLY bad with this build.

As of lately i've been experimenting with a build for Xing Tian exclusively on Arena, where I only play him. So the build is reinforced greaves, Bancrofts talon for lifesteal, stone of gaia for hp regen, mail of renewal for regen +cd red + either cronoss for dmg + cd 25% or breast of valor for defensive. As of other items I build either soverenity or dmg, depending what the team needs, usually i tend to get defense though. Ok so the reason for the life steal, it gives enough dmg and lifesteal for Xing to remove an entire wave with his 1st skill, gain 12 stacks passive AND lifesteal for heal. With 40% reduction and since you don't need mana (arena, back and forth) the first skill is the first i max on him with one point in the double jump up until the end.So basically the tactic is stack up with 1st and jump in the 5 other gods, ult to grab most, toss them back towards your team and immediately cast 2nd skill to root and then 1st once more.Just by juxing and using the 1st with most hit targets each time i manage to survive most 5 ppl dmg, if its not 3 mages ofc. In regards to dmg, the 1st skill does most dmg, the second after that then the jump.
You can go all out tank with sov, renewal, valor, reinf without bancrofts, but personally its more fun to me to get bancrofts for the lifesteal and either ethereal staff if my hp is alot, or something with penetration like Obsidian. Anyway, just my 2 cents about this god, I personally love to do Arena with him and think thats what he was made for.

I tried theld in a couple matchs, did very well, even considering he is broken, both 15+ kills and 2 deaths over three games!

Physical protection is always better s towers minions gold furys and fire giants and at least 2 of the other team will be physical so that out weighs it.

Walrus, pls.

You do not know the possibilities of a game. It ALWAYS depend on your enemies. One protection is not better than the other. Maybe the jungler and adc sucks and the mage is kicking your ***. Or solo lane is getting completely destroyed. All in all it depends on your enemies. In a typical meta, physical might be better but mages still burst like **** so who knows.

Well as should see, I kinda forgot to click any skill for level five but meant the ultimate... And I originally had breastplate but it tends to end up in a lot of physical protection and low magical.

What I dont get is that you say you want cooldowns but you only have a 30% reduction. You'd have been better getting Breastplate of Valor or Chronos' Pendant depending on if you want damage or survivability. Also your Pen item gives the enemy a minor reduction, you'd again have been better off using Obsidian Shard. Further you took Mystical Mail? I find it odd that you took that but took no health regain items. Personally I use Stone of Gaia on every Guardian as the passive is much more consistent than lifesteal.
Oh and the first poster was right too, WHY say your building a damage spec and then not take your highly damaging Ult??

Why did you start leveling your ult so late? you should always put it in the fifth ability slot.
