The shoes provide enough power for Ymir to deal great damage, this pure tank build is sure to tank with power as well as high hp5 including stone of gia’s Passive. You’ll maintain 3400 health while holding high physical and magical defense.

Don't get BOTH Magic Shell AND Meditation Cloak. I would swap out the Meditation Cloak for Heavenly Wings, so you get Magic Shell and Heavenly Wings.

I do like wings, but I still recommend the extra health (meditation) for last resort team saves or to just assure the team gets a little health boost followed by a shield. I like providing max protection for my team.

Meditation gets countered by anti-heal and is just not as good as magic shell. Most of the time it's better to get shell and another relic (than meditation) e.g. Heavenly Wings.

Nice build.

Not too sure about your choice of shoes and the . I'd consider potential replacements for , such as (you are the support).

Consider items like (if you have a good mage), (if enemy has healing), (counter AA jg and ADC), and (overall good item) in your build. But otherwise, your build looks ok. I agree with Kriega about the relics.

I understand what your saying, but I’m confident with this build, stone of Gia is very helpful for fast hp5 and it’s passives. I’ll definitely update this build with possible substitution items.

still holds up better throughout the entire build, whereas sort of falls off late-game.

Sov's 15 phys prot aura is good enough to cancel out the pen from any one flat pen item, and the HP5 is always helpful. Agreed that isn't as good...the HP5 got nerfed noticeably, and is absolutely situational with the passive. The HP5 is still strongest of all items, and the 400 health really is nice...but...well, I'd still consider more counter items. Qwacky does list as an option, but should be another.

is perhaps situational, and depending on build order, I might consider it as a late option in place of . Thing is, if going aggressive, Gauntlet really isn't a perfect fit. To get any protections out of it, you need stacks.

If facing more physical threats, I'd possibly even fit 2nd...and then follow up with either (aggressive, almost deal true damage to squishies) or (great all-around stats and amazing MP5) depending on my intent.

Here would be my main build cores...and if playing Conquest as Support, would add as a starter.

Aggressive vs more magical: Shoes of the Magi, Void Stone, Breastplate of Valor, Gauntlet of Thebes. (Void 2nd is great for aggression, and BoV immediately after is for the CDR. Thebes at the 4th spot is a bit late, but should stack easily, and is okay without stacks at this point because you've already built physical and magical protections.)
Aggressive vs more physical: Shoes of the Magi, Sovereignty, Void Stone, Breastplate of Valor. (Sov 2nd allows you to soak up damage from the physical gods, while providing some health and HP5. Since it's more of a true defense item, rush VS next for that protection reduction. BoV after for the CDR.)

In any case, I would consider more of a core item when going aggressive (as is indicated by going with ). I also would be unlikely to get , personally. People usually try to get AWAY from (re: ult and freeze), so it's often unlikely he'll get much out of the passive. Instead of Discord, I'd probably slot in a more standard counter item, though it's okay to throw in there as a stock build example.

And where is as a relic option, anyway? If going aggressive, it's absolutely a consideration. Not core anymore, due to the CD nerf, but still a valid option.

As far as i know, The go to shoes for support are either traveler shoes (faster rotations) or reinforced greaves (more early game tanking).

Hmm interesting. Didnt know shoes of the magi was a thing on a support, even high damage supports like ymir/sobek/etc.

Youre the first person i ever heard recommend emperors armor. Is it good that late in the game? I thought it was a bad item like mail of renewal?

But yea otherwise build looks good. And you pretty much covered relics.

bad? Not bad at all. Great for sieging and decent for defense. Not a must-pickup but it has it's uses.

Not 100% sure about but it's good for early aggression with . Some Guardian solos also build it as an alternative to .
