Just for some bacground on me and my Nemesis I was a grandmaster nemesis last split and finished the split 5th which was the first diamond nemesis on pS4 and im slaying with her in ranked again this split. She was the first god i officially bought and she changed the game for me. This build doesen't include defensive items because retribution is all the defense you need. Upgrading Nemesis' skills in the correct order is the most important part to a good game with her. Ive seen people like Weaken and Incon upgrade her slice and dice to five right away but she is a much better early and mid game character with way higher boxing potential if you distribute retrubution and slice and dice more evenly through out the build. If you know anything about Nemesis you know Retrebution at max lvl deflects 100% of incoming damage with a shield health of 500. She splits the damage 50/50 with 50% healing her and the other 50 reflecting back to the attacker which is A LOT of damage redlected, and if your thinking 500 shield health isn't that much what if im hit by an ability that hits for more than 500 damage. Think about this even if the shield is knocked off by a massive abilty lets say for example a vulcan or posiedon ult its effect still happens. It sill deflects 50% and heals 50% the only diffence is with one of those abiltites that can hit so hard (not many abilites will remove nemesis shield completely) it knocks it off right away and you might take between and you mitigate all of the damage instead of what would have been anywhere between 800 and 1500 damage dpending on charcter lvls and abilty progressions. Now i know what you might be thinking "you're math doesn't add up between the shield health and the abiliy damage of the ult" this is what a lot of people don't understand about retribution and sperates a normal nemesis player and a master nemesis. Lets say the ult hits you for 1100 and your shield is maxed and at 500 health that means you don't take 500 damage because of the shield health but you still deflect 100 percent of the damage which is cut to 600 so you heal for the 300 of the remaning damage and deflect 300 back to the charcter that ultd you. So in the end you take no damage (if it's a kraken and your caught directly in the middle you'll take between 20 and 100 damage because the shield is knocked off directly and you land back in the ult AOD without the shield. So now that you know the shield deal ill tell you why it's the most important ability on nemsis to lvl quickly. You can look at my ability lvl guide at the top but i keep slice and idce and rerubiton even at 3 until i upgrade my ult the 2nd time then i leave slice and dice at 3 and move retribution to 4 because at that point in the game you're lvl 10 which means with 400 shield health and all that damage relection and heal you have no chance at knoking it off even with most ults it's going to just hurt you to much while healing me. This lvl process makes nemseis a terror from lvl 10 on. I can use any ***asian for an example of how superior nemesis boxing is to all of them but let me use someone who is extremely popular in the metta right now.. Hun Batz. Hun Batz has absolutely no chance to defeat a nemesis 1 on 1 he just can not win it unless he wastes an ult and even then he can't lock nmesis down for the killing blows most times because of her dash. I've played 12 hun batz nemesis match ups on ranked and lost 1. I have demolished 3 different grandmaster hun batz. This is why her shield being at 4 by lvl 10 is so huge, so lets say you encounter a hun batz in the jungle and he engages you, just box him until he goes up for his pole smash and he'll go up for it quick cause nemsis hits harder than hun batz in a battle of basic attacks espically at that point in the game with my builds. So he goes up for his staff smash and dont be fooled by his leap and pop Retribution then because it will put you in a bad position if he lands on you and continues boxing with his smash still available (his staff smash is more dragged out you can tell the difference if you're familiar with hun batz at all). He goes up for the staff smash and lets say you're both lvl 10 at this point or he is even higher by a lvl or 2 and you pop retrebution he smashes you and almost instantly loses half his health and heals you to where it was like you nvr engaged with him this automatcially will force him to ult or flee and if he keeps fighting he'll die. Nemesis can box with anybody because of retribution including warriors and hunters. Dobule dash is a great abilty and it is even greater now that you can slice and dice in between dashes. I always engage with slice and dice becaue it hits squishy characters hard and has a major slow for 2 seconds which is great lockdown for the engagement because if they retreat and a lot of the time they will nemesis can dash up to you cut you off or if it's a really mobile charcter you have your ult for even more lockdown. If you engage with your ult then slice and dice its really hard for an assassian mage or hunter to get away without dying. I've explained Retribution to you and if you use it right and excute your abilites wit my build you should tear people apart.

First though, I think the guide creator meant to choose a full Hastened Fatalis but just chose the wrong item. Simple mistake there.
With the recent patch allowing for a cancel between the 1st and 2nd dash to do a basic attack, this really calls for her to get Hydra's Lament, at least the way I see it. She won't mind more than 20% CDR anyway. And I wouldn't Slice and Dice between dashes...basics, definitely, and proc that Hydra's.
Normal pen is from Titan's Bane, I think, but I'm guessing Exe is fine if you want that boxing slant...you also choose Ninja Tabi, so between those two she should have decent basic attack speed to fortify and support her ability use.
Deathbringer is where I see the biggest problem. Most builds that have crit need 2 items that roughly equal at least 40% or higher...based on DPS calculations, unless you get at least that %, it's sort of not worth it. The only time a god can get away with 1 crit item is if they have some additional form of crit in their build... Ne Zha would probably be the best example...you'd get it for his ult, which gives you 3 guaranteed crits (with proper timing). Nemesis doesn't have that luxury, and I just don't see the one crit item of Deathbringer being optimal for her damage output. If you were to get 1 crit item, either Rage or Malice would have better DPS as a solo crit item.
So, Hydra's Lament in place of Deathbringer (and probably get it earlier than item #5...probably item #2 or 3). And a possible situational protection item in place of that Fatalis... Retribution is definitely a powerful ability, but if you're dealing with more than 1 enemy, you're gonna be toast really quickly.
