The reason I chose Warrior's Axe is because of that 25 health restore upon damaging an enemy. In the early game you will want to be putting pressure onto them by getting them as low as possible. You will be attacking them often so it would be nice to have an extra health gained as a reward so you could stick around for a couple more waves.
Hydra's Lament is an item that will make you deal more damage with the Updraft combo. Which will result in a lot of damage dealt.
Jotunn's Wrath is here for both the cooldown reduction and penetration. Main problem with this full damage build is people building defense to counter it. The more penetration the better.
Runeforged Hammer is here because of the two CCs Horus has so an extra damage buff is appreciated.
Rangda's Mask When you feel like doing big damage.
You want to mainly max your Updraft first for that big damage.
Tap each threat level to view Horus’s threats
When dealing with an physical based enemy it will be nice to have a couple of these.
When dealing with an Magical power based enemy its nice to have a couple of these.
Belt of Frenzy is here just in case you want to deal big damage.
Couple Items you might wanna pick up in certain scenarios.
This a guide to the basics of Horus
I may not get to everything about Horus so I would appreciate feedback.
Ill be explaining beneficial ways to use Horus's move set, Certain items that could be built on Horus, and playstyles.
I will be explaining the Horus Playstyle on Solo conquest, Support Conquest, and Duel.
I wont be explaining how Jungle Horus should play nor will I be explaining Arena, Siege, Joust, Assault, etc.
First time doing an legit and well thought out guide so I would appreciate feedback.
I will probably be adding more onto this build.
Here I will be explaining some things about Horus moveset.
Updraft Is a short ranged attack that knocks up enemies and afterwards will change your autos into a ranged attack. If the ranged auto hits knocked up enemies then the enemy takes bonus damage. This Move should be used as your main wave clear. Quick note: The auto can also damage towers and phoenix so you could abuse that. Also cannot critical hit.
Fracture is an short distance dash that will go through minions and jungle monsters and stop on the first god hit stunning them then will bring out an scepter that deals additional. This move will be your main poke move. The basic idea is to auto attack the minion wave and once an enemy god is near then you should use Fracture to dash through the minions then stun the god and use your Updraft for alot of damage.
Protector's Surge is a ranged heal move that will cause you to dash towards any allied minion/god healing them. This move should be used for escaping more than healing because of how little it heals in the early game. Would not recommend upgrading this early,
To The Skies! is Horus ult. Once used Horus will be sent up into the sky and once he has chosen his destination he would like to visit he will take a couple seconds to crash down. Once he crashes down he gains a shield and knocking up enemies within radius. During the time Horus is in the sky he can be damaged from below by attacking the body Horus left behind after using the ult. Allies can be transported with this as well. I recommend to use this move to sneak attack enemies. This can also be used as an escape move however you need to act extremely fast when doing so because enemies can still damage you. Also near the end of your ultimate a circle will appear showing where you will appear.
Horus is reliant on his Updraft combo so getting Stone of Gaia would be beneficial.
If you feel that Horus could be planning a sneak attack on you with his To The Skies! then it will be great to move unpredictably and moving a lot.
Sundering Spear could also be used to get rid of that shield Horus gains after using his To The Skies!
Purification Beads will straight up get you out the Updraft combo. Not much to say.
In duel the playstyle should be for you to start out on Blue buff. You should be autoing minions regularly and if an enemy god gets too close you should use your Fracture to get close and stun them into the Updraft Combo. If you are going against an mage or hunter then you should use your minions as a shield.
As a Solo you should be doing the same thing as you do in duel.
As a support you should be cautious and from time to time gank the enemy. When you gank have your Carry stand back and spam auto attacks while you use your Updraft Combo onto the enemy for a lot of damage. If you are low you can use Protector's Surge to dash towards your allied god. (Early Game btw)
