Hello people, i welcome you to my second guide on smitefire. this one on the new guan yu who now puts the fear of god into the enemy as a pysical bruiser.
guan yu will be a great jungler with awesome ganks which i have tested.
YAYZ
-good jungle substain
-good damage out put
-AoE heal
-rides a horse
Aw's
-not a lot of range
-main damage abilitie takes a bit of time
-good basic attacks but you are forced to focus on his 3
-rinding your horse is a bit tricky
Bumba's Mask if you jangle you need this because it gives you health back when you kill jungle minions, it gives you more gold for kiling jungle minions and it gives you mana regen
Warrior Tabi gives you a good damage boost and because this build is focused around pen i picked these over
Ninja Tabi
Focused Voidblade 25 pys pen is a very big damage boost and it gives you a bit more protection
Jotunn's Wrath gives you even more pen as well as cdr so you can use your 3 more which is your main damage ability
Runic Shield gives you great protections to stop you from getting bursted down.
Titan's Bane simply a must have for any bruiser that shredds enemies trough abilies because it pens 33% of the enemies protections so that combined with your other pen will leave very little protections and gets you to do true damage on not tanky enemies.
Bulwark of Hope though my personal prefrence goes out to the
Stone of Gaia you will need this to survive. why? well something i have noticed is that while you are in your ult and in a team fight you just get burtsed by AoE's to quickly to take enemies down so you need a bit more protection to survive the magical AoE's
last 2 items need to be extra tanky so you can survive more burst. pick something acording to how fed an enemy is.
passive
Painlesss
Guan Yu gains force of will as he takes damage. Each instance of damage he receives charges up his Conviction ability, increasing its healing by up to 2x after 20 hits. Guan Yu’s basic attacks also utilize a four-swing chain with escalating damage and swing time, hitting in a longer narrow line in front of him on the final blow.
Melee Progression: 1/1/1.3/1.75x damage and swing time.
1
Conviction
Guan Yu’s courageous leadership is infectious and, when focused, heals himself and his allies by 50/80/110/140/170 and increases physical protections by 10/15/20/25/30 for 3s. Healing friendly gods reduces all cooldowns by 2s.
Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 mana.
Cooldown: 14 seconds.
2
Warrior's Will
Guan Yu charges forward, his Green Dragon Crescent Blade extended in front of him. All enemies in his path take 80/135/190/245/300 (+50% of your physical power) damage and are slowed by 20% for 2s. Hitting enemy gods lowers all of Guan Yu’s cooldowns by 2s.
Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 mana.
Cooldown: 14 seconds.
3
Taolu Assault
Guan Yu spins his blade in a controlled but furious display, slicing enemies for 15/25/35/45/55 (+20% of your physical power) damage every .3s for 3s. Each hit debuffs the enemies’ protections by 10 while buffing Guan Yu the same amount for 3s. Guan Yu is immune to knockback for the duration.
Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana.
Cooldown: 15 seconds.
4
Cavelry Charge
Guan Yu mounts his warhorse and charges for 4s. While mounted, he can steer and click to attack and is immune to crowd control. Enemies hit take 75/100/125/150/175 (+30% of your physical power) damage and are slowed by 25% for 2s. Each hit increases damage from consecutive hits against that target by 20%. Enemies hit on the dismount are stunned for 1.5s. Right-click to dismount early.
Cost: 80/90/100/110/120 mana.
Cooldown: 90 seconds.
im not going to put an jungle route in this or anything. those are all situational. all i can tell you is that you want those mid camps because those are what makes you out farm an enemy jungler
something i have noticed is that guan new's weakness is AoE which there is a lot of in team fights. fair enough there are a lot of gods with that probleme but guan yu is a bruiser with a very good team fight ult if used correctly.
this is why you need him tanky. he can't hold out if he isn't tankier than most other bruisers.
yeah you can wait till the tanks go in but still you will be the one running around the enemies putting out damage which gives you a lot of focus on you.
i hope this helps you in the jungle and in the team fights.
please check out my He Bo guide http://www.smitefire.com/smite/guide/hebo-damage-because-why-not-2805 and please up vote these if you like them that would be awesome.

I would go full cdr on him (so either Ninja and Jotunns or jotunns and Hydras, Ninja and jotunns would be best IMO on guan).
i personnnaly don't like ninja but if you like it better then go for it. this build is set on a lot of pen and cdr is always nice but i rather have pen.
Tomorrow I will have a full guide with multiple builds and detailed explainations.
I wanted to rush this which mayby wasn't a good idea but what's done is done.
There's really... not a lot here. You don't give a lot of information, and considering that Guan just became a physical bruiser it seems kind of... lazily done?
You could put a lot more work into this guide. You mention not giving a jungle route but at least give a section on gameplay. Give the reader as many tips on jungling with Guan Yu based on your experience, which considering (like I said) that Guan has been like this less than a day, there isn't much.
Also, in the items section don't just say "You need this". Tell the reader WHY you need it. It adds much more credibility.
I don't expect much now considering the circumstances, but I can see you adding a lot more info.
