Pendulum of Ages provides the Mana Regen you need to stay active and converts that Mana into extra Intelligence. The Cooldown Rate is also crucial, ensuring your
Confusion scape and Ultimate are available as often as possible.
Spear of Desolation is perfect for your burst-assassin playstyle. More importantly, the passive reduces your cooldowns when you get a kill or assist. Since you often blink in to one-shot someone, this resets your abilities, giving you a chance to escape or stun another target immediately.
Book of Thoth gives you the raw power needed to one-shot enemies. The massive Intelligence provided by converting Mana ensures to have enough damage to delete hunters and mages.
Rod of Tahuti serves as your late-game power spike. It boosts your total Intelligence by 25%, making your ability scaling skyrocket.
Blinking Abyss as your main engage is stealthing onto a carry to stun them. This item gives you that mobility more frequently, and the passive damage on arrival adds even more burst to your one-shot combo. Appart from that you can use it as a way to scape.
Obsidian Shard is necessary to deal with enemies building magical defense. Late game, even squishy targets might have some armor, and tanks will definitely block your burst. This item grants 35% Penetration necesary for enemy protections.
Polynomicon is arguably your most important damage item. Your combo involves stunning an enemy at close range, which guarantees a free Basic Attack. This item increases your auto damage after every ability making it possible to one-shot on a combo.

Gem of Focus instead of
Polynomicon for more movement speed and cooldown, but you will have less possibilities to one-shot.
Chronos' Pendant instead of
Blinking Abyss if you want to have more cooldowns but less scape.
Time-Lock Aegis instead of
Blinking Abyss if your facing some god as
Tsukuyomi that forces yourself to need an inmune to survive.
Gem of Focus
Chronos' Pendant
Time-Lock Aegis

You should prioritize maxing
Dark Omen first because it is your primary wave clear and poke tool with a short cooldown, allowing you to farm efficiently and harass enemies frequently. Next, upgrade some points
Deadly Aspects to increase the burst damage of your main engagement tool. Always put a point into your Ultimate,
Changeling, whenever available to drastically reduce its cooldown. Moreover, upgrade
Confusion, as the stealth and movement speed upgrade is really good for your engages and scapes as you will have great movement speed.

Hi, my name is Ragna and I started playing Smite 1 on PC in 2021. I started playing in little community tournaments and after a lot of training and work I manage to play professional tournaments on Atlanta as the Smite Content Cup in 2024 and SCC during 2023.
Now, in Smite 2 I have reached Deity every single split and I have competed in tournaments like Smite Vegas Qualifiers (ending in 5th position of EU) and right now Smite Prime, so Im always getting updated about the best metas on the game.
Apart from that I have a Twitch channel Ragna_smite where we play Smite 2 every single day and we do coaching for the subs to help them to improve on Smite 2, answering questions, talking about the game, etc.
Hope you find this guide as a good starting point for the midlane and to improve your skills with Morrigan.

Passive - The third hit of your Basic Attack chain explodes, dealing Magical Damage based on the enemy's maximum Health. This passive makes your auto-attacks surprisingly deadly, especially against tanks. Always try to land that third hit on an enemy god during your combo, as the percentage-based damage will tick away a significant chunk of their health bar even if they build magic defense. |
|
Ability 1 - Summons two clones to charge up power. Activate again to deal Magical Damage and Stun enemies in a cone in front of you. This is your main kill setup. It requires two button presses: one to start charging, and one to fire. A common trick is to activate the first stage while invisible, so they cant listen to you casting the ability, making it easier to engage. |
|
Ability 2 - Fires a wave of dark magic that deals damage and Marks enemies. Marked enemies take bonus damage the next time they are hit by an ability (from you or an ally) or your passive. Use this primarily for clearing waves and poking. The "Mark" damage is very high, so always try to follow this up with your |
|
Ability 3 - This is your primary engage and escape tool. Use it to sneak into the backline to assassinate a carry. You can also use it defensively to juke enemies; send the clone in one direction and run in the other to confuse them. Be careful, as any stray damage will reveal you. |
|
Ultimate - Select any God in the current match to transform into an exact copy of them for 10 seconds. You gain their items, stats, and abilities. This is the most versatile ability in the game. Decide which is the best god for each situation to dominate fights and 1v1s. Mastering this ability means knowing every god in the game, allowing you to adapt to any situation instantly. |
