My original Artemis Build didn't have Wind Demon, but Transcendence. Transcendence was my second item built, follow by Jotunn's Wraith or Bloodforge depending on the current situation in-game. With the most recent 3.14 update, I decided to try Wind Demon and fell in love. However, 3 Critical Chance items might be a bit to much for some people.
I'm also thinking about replacing Wind Demon with Poison Star, it seems like another great alternative.
I have yet to try this build in Ranked Play, so I can't really say much. Will update when I have information on it.
Majority of the time I play Artemis, I play with someone I know who loves Support/Guardians. Bacchus, Ymir, Sobek, and Sylvanus are the main Guardians I usually end up with.
This is my first build on Smitefire, so feedback is appreciated (but please no rude remarks or comments)!

Furthermore you need more penetration. Without pen, the crits will barely do anything to guardians that build more than 1 (or even 1) physical defense item.
You hardly have any attack speed either. Artemis may have an 80% steroid for that, but if you hardly have anything in the first place, that 80% isn't going to do much either.
And I'd suggest placing
And if that's not enough, as a result of having no mana, you'll be unable to escape trouble, die more often, and get behind. This makes it so that there's absolutely no way you're going to finish this build, as you yourself said it is very expensive.
Consider the point's I've mentioned, and use them to improve your build, if you feel like it. Or ignore it in general, you're an adult... probably.
I also put the link to your build in the description so others can try it out!
