Notes Shield of Regrowth - You will be speedy. The HP5, MP5, and CDR are nice additions as well.

Rod of Asclepius - I really think you should be picking this up 90% of the time. The passive works great with Chang'e, and you get power, health, and movement speed. Yummy

Stone of Gaia - Health, HP5, MP5. Excellent. Good against gods with knockups, like Geb, King Arthur, or Tyr.

Pros & Cons

PROS

- Very high sustain with her passive, Jade Rabbit and her Moonflower Dance

- Large AoE abilities with low cooldowns.

- She has a built-in beads/aegis that is up every 9 seconds.

CONS

- Her abilities don't do much damage - she isn't a burst mage.

- She has no CC aside from her ultimate.

- She is extremely mana hungry, especially early game.

- Countered by anti-heal.

Ability Information

Jade Rabbit
Chang'e can purchase and sell items from anywhere on the map using her rabbit. This gives her very high sustain especially in the solo lane with a mana buff.
She can only purchase/sell one item at a time and must wait until her rabbit returns to receive the item & send it out again.
She also gains 25% movement speed with no back-pedal penalty when using her abilities - this makes it really easy to poke enemies without taking any damage yourself.

Crescent Moon Dance
This is her main damage/clear. It is an arc ability that deals damage to all enemies hit.

There isn't much to say about this ability, its good damage for poking enemies and clearing the wave.

Moonlit Waltz
This is her main escape. She performs an evasive dance, becoming immune to all damage, stuns, pulls, slows, etc., etc. She cannot use this if she is already stunned, silenced, or knocked up.
For every tick of damage avoided, she and her allies gain mana - up to 60 per tick.

While this ability does give her mana back, I really wouldn't recommend running into enemy abilities just to get mana because you are only immune for one second & have no other escape.

It's really important to get the timing of this ability right so you can avoid major damage through Da Ji or Ares' ult.

Moonflower Dance
This ability heals Chang'e and allies in the area while also damaging enemies. Something really important to remember: This also reduces the healing of nearby enemies by 50% for 4 seconds, making it good against life steal or other healers.

Waxing Moon
This is her ultimate - it is a line ability that damages and stuns enemies hit. The stun has a base length of one second, but an additional second is added per enemy hit, making it great in team fights.

It is important to use this for set up rather than killing enemies that are low health. The stun is much more valuable than the damage. It's also important not to be selfish with this ability since you will likely have it on a low cooldown anyways.

Combos for Chang'e

Crescent Moon Dance > Moonflower Dance or vice versa if the enemy can heal.

Waxing Moon > Crescent Moon Dance > Moonflower Dance or

Waxing Moon > Moonflower Dance > Crescent Moon Dance if the enemy can heal.

She doesn't really have set combos other than these due to her low cooldowns and how situational her ultimate is.

Updates

4.1 - I was soooo unhappy with the builds & so I just kinda ignored this entire guide for a while. Its probably still a little rough but hopefully a lot better

You should fix your skill leveling order, prioritizing Crescent Moon Dance, followed by Moonflower Dance and for last the Moonlit Waltz. The ulti is optional upgrade it ASAP or only late game, however I recommend ASAP.

Something like this:
Crescent Moon Dance - 1,4,6,7,10 (or 9 if your ulti is down).
Moonlit Waltz 3,15,16,18,19
Moonflower Dance - 2,8,11,12,14
Waxing Moon 5,9 (or 10 if your ulti is down),13,17,20

I think your solo needs a bit of a rework. I'd go Mage's Blessing-> Shoes of Focus-> Lotus Crown-> Void Stone for a solo opponent and swap void and crown around for a magical one. That would give you an early 20% CDR that you can play around when trying to max it (sell the blessing for the 2nd CDR item). I would only look at Breastplate of Valor and Genji's Guard if the enemy team had 4+ physical for the former or 4+ magical for the later (it does happen). The rest of your items are fine though I'd skip the speed pot and go with a 500 pot when your build is finished. If the game goes on long enough, grab a 3k pot as well. I'd also add Obsidian Shard, Ethereal Staff, and Soul Reaver as situational items when facing a tanky team (3+ gods are building magical defense).

For solo, I prefer going tanky because you are meant to be a front liner. I find tanking tower shots for the carry, front lining teamfights, stunning with her ult, etc. all while sustaining with her 3 is a lot more valuable than mediocre defense and some damage. Also with Breastplate 3rd item (vs. physical), you are looking at 40% cdr already (w/ blue buff if you sold mages for the breastplate) which is really important on Chang'e.

I also believe that getting the speed pot and extra item is a lot better than a damage/defense buff that lasts 6 minutes. After the buff wears off you are 3k down with nothing to show for it instead of having a permanent item for approx. 4k total

Idk tho. thats just how I feel lol

You're capping CDR in both your mid and solo builds. Sell Breastplate lategame for mantle of discord in both builds and swap boots for spirit robe or something like spear of desolation.

For the Mid build swap cdr boots for pen boots as it's clearly a damage focused build yet you have no pen (and again, you cap cdr). Obsidian shard should also be presenet as an alternative item.

Perfectium | February 18, 2019 9:25pm
woops, i'll fix the pen but both builds end with 40% cdr?

Kriega1 (120) | February 18, 2019 9:56pm
Ok 1st thing: you start all builds with mage's blessing which means you have 50% before you sell mage's blessing.

2nd thing, Potion of Magical Might (and/or blue buff) provide 10% cdr so you only need 30% cdr in your build max lategame.
