Odin begins empowering Gungnir with Runic Magic, becoming immune to knockbacks. Every second, Gungnir changes runes and Odin pulses out damage around him, slowing enemies for 2s. When Odin releases Gungnir it travels forward, damaging enemies and stopping on the first god hit. The first rune causes allies around Odin to gain Attack Speed for 3s. The second rune allows Gungnir to stun.

Odin summons a wall of spears that blocks his enemies movement. Enemies inside the ring cannot heal, and their power is reduced by 15%. Odin is immune to Slows and Roots while in his Ring. A portion of the wall can be destroyed when hit by 5 Basic Attacks. Enemies that leave the ring through or over a wall are chased by Gungnir, taking damage and becoming slowed for 2.5s. Enemies that die inside Ring of Spears grant Odin a permanent bonus to Physical Power.

Introduction

Brodin is a minority Complicated bruiser/tank champion that can make or break team fights, has great anti jungle/gank potential if he takes charge and keeps map control.

AS for me im one of the many League players that found Smite though leaguecraft (gasp I know taboo making guide on Moba and talking about LC i use and love both so =P). I love Smite, Fast paced fewer ragers, and kills actually matter, only been playing awhile but that's how much most of you who are reading this guide are feel free to leave comments and ideas, ill be checking monthly to update when i can, plz no dont down vote without first explaining why you think so and give me chance to explain my side/ or even change the guide if i find your point valid.

*edit* was later than i thought while it isn't pretty all the information is there enjoy and hopefully i can get back and finish some visuals soon= =

Pros / Cons

Pros
Great lvl 1-2 kill op with minions or partner
High health and passive resistances
Great escape and initiate move
Can jump over/though walls or even into Iron giants caven from sides/behind
Great Side lane map control though passive
Ring of death can trap out of place carrys

Cons
RING OF DEATH CAN ALSO TRAP YOUR LOW/SQUISHY TEAMMATES
early game DPS falls off quickly
Must learn what you can and cant jump over
Jump has a moderately high CD
melee
needs full build late game to be effective

Skills

Key Bind: Passive

Odin's ravens scout an increased radius around himself, doubling his minimap vision radius and gaining visibility of enemies within that radius.

Amazing Vs teams with junglers, or avoiding face checking Iron Giant

Key Bind: 1

Odin Lunges to his target location, doing 140 / 180 / 220 / 260 / 300 (+40% of your physical power) physical to all nearby enemies.

Cost: 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 mana.

Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 s.

After lvl 4 this is Odins bread and butter nuke/escape skill, jump in pop shout (if up) and wail away till jump is back up then either jump on them again or if your running low jump away and pop Hpot. Get at lvl 4 max first

Odin's Shout
Key Bind: 2

Odin gives a commanding roar, rallying his allies. Odin and his allies gain an attack speed buff of 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55% for 7 s.

Cost 60 mana.

Cooldown: 20 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 16 s.

AMAZING lvl 1 skill, bait the enemy team into attacking you with minions around as soon as they get aggro pop shout and watch the health go down, also beneficial if you have and [Anhur]/[Artemis] as your lane partner. Get at lvl 1 max last

Gungnir's Might
Key Bind: 3

This power, while used passively, provides 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 protection from physical attacks and 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 HP5. Upon activation of this power, he does a speeding melee attack that does 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+100% of your physical power) physical damage and slows all enemies around him by 30% for 2 seconds, but he loses the passive bonus while on cooldown.

Cost: 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 mana.

Cooldown 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 s.

Ok AOE damage, Good Passive, not much more try not to use often or better yet only as a finisher, because having the passive down for 10+ seconds can be a real game thrower

Ring of Spears
Key Bind: 4

Odin summons a wall of spears, blocking all normal movement. Odin gains +60 protection, +35 / 55 / 75 / 95 / 115 physical power and immunity to stun/fear/silence/root while inside the ring. Pressing the button again will bring down the ring.

Cost: 100 mana.

Cooldown: 75 s.

Ahhhh the Ring of Death, makes or breaks a good odin from a bad one, truth is always try to catch only one enemy in it, yep even though you can trap both teams fully inside and you get a insane defense buff more likely than not your team will come out behind or even because your own carrys are then exposed and cant escape. Also by trapping only one (and hopefully it was an out of place carry) you pick one whole team mate off leaving your team to enter a 5v4 in your favor as you exit the ring. In lane phase use to stop escape/burst down last 1/3-1/4 of enemy health.

Items

put several Options up but will only cover my Most often used ATM

Why you may ask? Gives a nice regen of both HP and M. which is necessary for any good tank/busier for sustain
Reinforced Boots

back when you have enough for lvl1 of both
Self explanatory Boots, Tankiness+passive might+ speed= Lane king. Soul Eater is great for some early Dps and more sustain off enemy minions, also works nicely with team and ring end game, best to buy some Hpots too if you have the gold, they will become your best friend early/mid game
Reinforced Boots

Now with those tier 1 boots you should have been in lane long enough to grab enough gold to finish both Boots and stone and if you have enough max slot your pots(5) and don't be afraid to use them pots can mean life or death i can not stress this enough HPOTS SAVE LIVES EARLY/MID GAME

lvl1-3 depending
I normally grab this item mid game because by now most champs have boots and/or items that increase speed which is really annoying for Brodin, try to grab lvl3 right off the bat but if your having trouble chasing/died and are at platform anyway/ teams constantly grouped for fight go ahead and get the highest tier you can, (don't worry about Hpots any more focus on items And/or wards if your Anti jungling)

finish it off your now a jumping monster of death and your team loves you for all of it

More resistances health and mana because other team is now becoming more scary even to you, with this you can usually start 2 maybe 3v1 fights if your smart about your placements and know your escape routes just encase.



lvl 3
ArmPen, + aura you now are complete and can DPS/tank almost any carry in the game 1v1, team can nuke around 1-2 people easy with ring and auras, and phoenixes/towers feel like there throwing pillows at YOU GG WP my friend (if you make it past this point i recommend a girdle of might and aegis if you want over kill)

Lane Phase/Team Work

Normally i take left side so i can keep watch on (+)heal creep spawn because that's where must enemy junglers will go if you don't have your own, just keep your self close to left side of lane while you wait for minions to spawn your passive and (HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE SOME) map awareness do the rest. Fallow if jungle appears if not lane normally.

After Minions spawn try to bait enemy in lane to attack you, nice trick with Brodin is that with shout and minion aggro +1-2 auto attacks of your own most champions CAN DIE lvl 1 (XD its happened more often than you think!)

LvL-2-4 just keep farming, lvl 4 if you have a lane partner you can jump engage pretty easy and get them either to back or if your partners really good a kill, other wise like i said keep farming

LvL 5-10 Oooo here's where it gets fun, you have a decent amount of resistances you have Ring and you should have pots, RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT YOU ARE TOP DOG 1V1, Jump, auto attack, IF THEY BACK OFF SO DO YOU, but if the don't Smack them again drop ring pop shout, Auto Auto Auto and then finish with might or another jump GG (reason you back off if they back off is because if some how you were not able to kill them before ring ends you want be positioned more in your favor (mid way though lane, your tower, jungle ect.) so you have room to jump and attack more if necessary.)

Lvl-11-16 Sadly this is where you drop off for a while and must play defensively To keep rolling into late game. Best advice stay with main Physical carry or jungler if you have one. Main Carry can use your shout buff and you can tank/kite enemys for him/her, jungler can use your eyes and jumps better than anyone else ATM.

Lvl-17+ team fight team fight team fight now you should have full build which means you can tank almost any fight effectively along with proper ring placement and Shout you should no longer have any problems, remember if you don't have a jungler its your responsibly to to ward/ping/tank/defend GLOBAL buffs your a full tank now TAKE CHARGE AND LEAD THEM TO A VICTORY WORTHY OF THE GOLDEN HALLS

Summary

I have fun with him, I hope you will too. just remember two things with Brodin if you don't want to listen to the rest of what i put here, #1 HPOTS SAVE LIVES, and #2. Ring of death placement is the difference between good and bad Brodin players

Good guide overall :) Only thing I would change is the item section. Try to go into more detail on the items, and clean up the language a little bit.
